The Devil's Sweetheart

Kyle was still not sure it was a man or woman who entered the bathroom. Looking at the lollipop woman, she felt weirdly funny to watch a grown woman sucking a lollipop. Kyle briefly glanced at the doors brushing the thoughts and realized the man must be sneaking away from the lollipop girl. So, she was contemplating if she should tell the woman or cover it. In the end, she chose to conceal it. ''I was here since half-an-hour. No one entered the bathroom.''

''That insidious FBI agent! Why does he make me run behind him all the time? Does he like the push and pull game? I have already fallen for him hard, though.'' Wendy muttered under her breath. She is keeping track of the man ever since she eyed him in Seattle. But somehow, he slips away from her clutches like a grain of sand.

On the other hand, Kurt was uttering profanities at himself for getting trapped in a woman's bathroom. He swore he would take this incident to his grave. When he entered the Signature hotel on a mission, the lollipop girl caught him again. Kurt wondered if she is keeping a watch on him 24/7. While escaping from her, Kurt didnot realize he stepped into a woman's bathroom until he heard woman's voices. He is doomed for eternity if someone catches him today.

''Are you sure no one entered?'' Kurt heard a reply from Wendy. If he were not on a mission, he would have dealt with her in his way. 

''No.'' Kurt heard another reply from a vaguely familiar voice. He breathed in relief, hearing the response. At least, the women outside are not aware a man is inside the bathroom. Otherwise, he would lose his sanity with their cursings.

Twitching her mouth, Wendy scornfully gazed at the woman from head to toe before turning on her heels to leave.

''She is weird,'' Kyle remarked. She waited until there was none left in the bathroom, including the cleaning servants, and placed the 'cleaning in progress' board outside. ''I have to make it fast. Otherwise, the cleaning servants might come for hourly checks.'' For the safer side, Kyle locked the bathroom door. 

''Why am I doing this when I don't even know this person.'' Kyle sighed and double-checked one last time before she looked at the bathroom doors. ''Umm...I have seen you entering the bathroom. You can come out. I am not sure if you are hiding from the girl who was...licking a lollipop, but she is gone.''

''Are there any other woman?'' Kurt questioned. How did this woman figure out?

''No.''

''Then what are you? Not a woman?'' Kurt questioned again.

''What!''

''Get out!'' Kurt ordered. 

''What an arrogant cow you are! You should be grateful to me that I am helping you.'' Kyle yelled.

''Arrogant cow? Care to repeat it? I will put you behind bars.'' Kurt threatened.

''As if you can, Mr. arrogant Cow. You are the one who messed it up. I can even sue you for Trespassing into the woman's bathroom like a pervert.'' Kyle shot at him.

''Don't raise your voice at me! I will send you to a place where even google cannot find you.'' Kurt raised his voice with equal frequency. She seems to be a loose case.

Why is this man so thick-skinned? What problem he has in showing up his face when I already know the truth? When Kyle was in her thoughts, her mobile beeped with an incoming message. [Landon Derwin: Where are you, Kyle? I am waiting for you]

''OMG!'' Kyle uttered an inner curse. She completely forgot about her date and started arguing with this arrogant cow.

''Hello, Mr arrogant cow, Will you come out or not? I don't have time to baby talk with_''

Not before Kyle completed her words, one of the bathroom doors was opened, and a tall man stepped out. When their gazes met, both were profoundly shocked. A moment of silence ensued before their voices reached the walls in unison.

''Kurt!''

''Kyle!'' Gone! Both studied in the same school. If she slips her tongue to his friends by chance, especially to Andrew, Kurt will have to go on a lifetime hiatus. That monkey would circulate it to the whole community.

''OMG, Kurt, it's you!'' Kyle's face beamed like a child, and not before she took a step forward, Kurt raised his hand and backed off. ''Hold on! I_It's good to maintain social distance.''

''Ah! You are still the same since school.'' Kyle retorted with a mocking smile. In the school, Kurt would be the hot topic among girls. But not in a positive way. He has earned a lot of girl haters because of his repulsion towards them. ''Why can't you accept the truth that you still fear women? Do you know how many girls hate_''

''Take me out of this place.'' He cut off Kyle's thoughts. Kurt knows the girl haters he has earned since school. Did she have to remind him that?

''Ask with respect. Then I will take you out.'' Kyle said.

This disrespectful woman! Once I get out of this place, I will take care of you. For now, Kurt had no choice except to accept Kyle's demands. ''C_an you help me to get out of this place.''

''Add 'please' in the sentence?'' Kyle suppressed her laughter seeing his mortified face.

Clenching his fists, Kurt politely added. ''Can you please help me get out of this place?'' Kurt even forced a smile on her, thinking she would ask later why he didnot smile.

''Go, and stay in the bathroom,'' Kyle ordered.

''Again?''

''You want to get beaten by women for entering into lady's washroom?'' Kyle's voice raised hysterically.

Kurt closed his eyes to hold back the scream of frustration. His ego is crushed to the ground twice by this woman. It was all the fault of that lollipop. Wordlessly, Kurt turned around and entered the bathroom again.

''You really want to go out, Kurt?'' Kyle asked. ''You seem to be enjoying it there.''

''Do you want to die.''

Kyle internally giggled before she unlocked the bathroom door. She peeked at the corridor. Since she has already put on the cleaning progress board, she realized people might be using the bathroom in the other wing.

''It's clear. You can come out.'' The words just traveled from Kyle's mouth, Kurt sprinted out of the bathroom without looking back.

''One of the most adventurous days of my life. A man's dignity was saved by the noble girl Kyle. '' Kyle excitedly said, earning a deathly stare from Kurt. ''Alright, alright, don't get mad at me_''

At the moment, Kyle's mobile ringed again, reminding her purpose of coming here. This is not good, Kyle. You are here to meet Landon. You cannot forget him.

Kyle looked at Kurt and said. ''Let's catch up later. I will have to go now.'' Without waiting for Kurt's reply, Kyle dashed out.

''I wish never to meet you again,'' Kurt said as he made his way out. He then settled at a table, far away from Landon Derwin. His face was covered already so that no one will recognize him. ''Who is that person Landon is going to meet?'' He muttered.

Kurt stayed put, and at a bit of distance away, he noticed Kyle walking in his table direction. ''This woman! Is she a ghost? Why does she keep following me?''

When Kurt was about to call her name to reprimand, Kyle took a left turn, crossing the table he was sitting. A shock spread across his face as he saw Kyle approaching Landon's table. ''What the! Is she here to meet a criminal?''

Kyle nervously bit her bottom lip, and her legs shivered in anticipation. Neither Kyle, not Landon talked except for exchanging pleasantries in the beginning. Since childhood, Kyle had no one in her heart except Devin. Never a thought occurred in her mind to look at another man, but for the first time, Kyle broke the barriers. Of course, she has completely let Devin out of her heart and mind. Heeding Leena's advice, she started to talk with Landon more often, and she decided to give him a chance and see if he is worthy of her.

''Do you like the food?'' Landon asked, looking at Kyle with a smile.

''It's good.'' She replied to him nervously. Kyle jerked when Landon tenderly held her hand. ''Don't get nervous. Kyle, I know you are hesitant, but I am asking you again. Give me a chance_''

''L_et's date.'' Kyle completed for him, making Landon's eyes go wide in surprise.

On the other end, Kurt freed his headphones, not bothered to listen to their talks anymore. His team placed a spy recording device beneath Landon Derwin's table. Kurt expected it to be a business deal, but it was a lovey-dovey scene to his annoyance. ''Dating a criminal? She is a loose case.''

Relief spread across his face when he now knows Kyle has no underlying dealings with that criminal. ''Wait...Why am I bothered about that loose case?'' Kurt immediately removed her thoughts from his mind and concentrated on the main topic.

''I wasted my time coming here.'' Kurt thought Landon's meeting would be helpful to his case, but never in his dreams did Kurt assume he would have to witness the love scene.

Kurt got up and made his way out. While driving home, Kurt hit the car's brakes in the middle of the road when an idea registered in his brain. ''Kyle will see Landon more often since she is his girlfriend now. If I target her, it can be a massive breakthrough to the case.''

But Kurt's idea came with a price.. He has to approach that loose case again.
