Chapter 3: The Mission
Chapter 3: The Mission
[Will you accept the offer from the ruler of Akhrot Cosmos and become its successor? 'YES or NO']
Akash's body flinched. The strange sound kept resonating in his brain and, strangely enough, he found that the voice sounded similar to the voice of the Ancestor Turtle.
"What was that?"
He immediately asked.
The Turtle replied.
"That's part of my power"
Akash "..."
The Turtle continued "I have lived for trillions of years and unlike other Primordial Beasts, I have yet to find any successor because I never found a trustworthy person, a person worthy enough to rely on. I've used some of my power to create a system that can guide my successor."
Akash's mind was overflowing with questions "you.. you mean there are other cosmoses besides this one and you have been living for trillions of years! But... why did you choose me? I don't have the talent like those genius tamers with a monstrous aptitude and talent."
"Because you are not greedy like the rest and you didn't come here with ulterior motives. Regarding your talent, it's irrelevant to me because my power has no equal in this cosmos. I can even make a crippled person into the top tamer of this cosmos. Thus, you are still much better than most."
.
Akash was brimming with respect and admiration for the Ancestor Turtle, after all, who wouldn't, when faced with such a terrifyingly powerful entity. Akash closed his eyes for a few seconds to prepare for any further shocking revelations and asked.
"Ancestor, who are the other Primordial Beasts and how many cosmoses are there besides ours?"
"There used to be 11 but 3 of them were absorbed into others. Now there are only 8 cosmoses remaining including our Turtle Cosmos."
"How can one be absorbed?" Akash asked in worry.
"You don't have to worry about that for now as you don't have enough power to understand the deep mystery of the cosmoses. Not to mention, knowing too much would negatively impact your mind and cultivation. Just remember, that no other cosmos has the power to attack me in my own."
Akash was relieved and didn't ask further.
The Turtle finally asked.
"So, what do you think about my offer? If you can't accept this offer for any reason then I can give you a painless death which you were seeking when you came here. Now that you have knowledge of something which you shouldn't, I cannot leave you alive unless you become my successor."
Akash was not gloomy at all because he understood the weight behind those words and the importance of that knowledge. He replied.
"Ancestor, as you said, you will give me another chance to fix any regrets I have. How could I possibly refuse? I will accept the offer and will join your cause."
The Turtle smiled and said.
"Bow three times and you will become my successor. You have chosen the right path."
Akash Tagar bowed three times without any delay and said happily.
"Ancestor, your successor is waiting for your teachings."
The Turtle laughed "haha, very well. Now let me explain the system to you. It contains every bit of my knowledge and access to my vermillion forest."
Akash asked.
"What vermillion forest, ancestor? You mean the one on your shell?"
The Turtle replied
"Yes, but don't let its size fool you. I have used the power of Spatial Law and Martial Law to shrink my body so that you can see my true self. My shell alone is 10 times bigger and richer than your Fairy Planet."
Akash was startled because his Fairy Planet was considered one of the biggest planets with uncountable resources. That was the reason other races tried to attack and control that it which caused his entire Fairy Race to go extinct.
The Turtle sighed and said "I am one of the first 11 living beings knows as the 11 Cosmic Beasts. However, the Spirits of Laws predated even us! There is a reason behind the 20 realms of power and cultivation and that is the 20 Spirits of Laws. Each Spirit of Law makes up one realm."
Akash's heart was pounding with excitement as he asked.
"Does ancestor grasp all 20 Laws of Cosmos?"
The Turtle smiled and said.
"Yes, all primordial beasts can use all of the laws fluently from the day we opened our eyes. That's the power given to us by Spirits."
Akash was shocked once again but this time his shock didn't last long. He asked.
"Did those 7 tamers also grasp all 20 laws when they stepped into the realm of Cosmic Emperor?"
The Turtle replied "No, because each realm has its particular law which can only be fully grasped in its realm. Only us primordial beasts know which realm is made for which law. However, some geniuses can understand more than two laws from birth and they are deemed as Fate Changers by the world.
The one with the most profound knowledge of the laws amongst those 7 Cosmic Emperors was from the God Race. He had grasped 13 Laws of Cosmo and he was fluent with 7 of them from birth."
After hearing the God Race being mentioned, cold hatred flickered in Akash Tagar's eyes because his Fairy Race was destroyed by them.
The Turtle continued.
"Continuing from where I left off, the system has access to my Vermillion Forest and it can provide you with legendary resources and beasts with godly bloodlines. Those beasts will be able to reach the Star God Realm. Any further growth will depend on your training and their aptitude.
The hatred in Akash's heart vanished into thin air as soon as he heard those words.
"Legendary resources, godly bloodline beasts" he murmured and couldn't believe what he had just heard.
"Your task is to build a force that is solely focused on quality rather than quantity. First though, you must build a place that'll allow the system to make full use of the power and resources I've given it.
Akash Tagar suddenly remembered that The Ancestor chose him for a mission, so he asked.
"What kind of force, ancestor? And why do you need it when you are already that powerful?"
The Turtle replied.
"As an individual, I'm the strongest primordial beast amongst the 8 alive, however when looking at our cosmos as a whole, it is the weakest amongst the 8. Furthermore, the Primordial Beasts can only fight when a Declaration of Cosmic War is made by one Primordial Beast to another.
If they decide to fight each other without it, their whole cosmoses would be eradicated from existence as per the rules of the order of the cosmos. That is the reason no Primordial Beasts directly fight in any cosmos but instead, we send strong beasts through Spatial Cracks to kill the Tamers and beasts of other cosmos or as you call it, a BEASTS RAID. The reason behind it, is to weaken a cosmos to such an extent that other cosmoses can declare a cosmic war on it and conquer it."
Akash was horrified. Everyone had always thought that the beast's raid was caused by random wild beasts which destroyed cities for food and bloodshed but to think there was such a deep reason behind those attacks. He shook his head and asked.
"Ancestor, you said if you fight then the cosmos will be destroyed by the order of rules. Who made those rules?"
The Turtle squeezed its eyes and looked at Akash in disbelief of his ignorance. The Turtle replied.
"Those rules were set by the 20 Spirits of Laws which, as I mentioned earlier, predate us all. Those spirits sacrificed themselves to make us Primordial Beasts and every other living being in all cosmoses. All that is left of those spirits are their laws which we can use because we came into being through their life force."
Akash Tagar was looking at the Turtle with a serious look but didn't say anything.
The Turtle continued
"Our cosmos is growing weaker day by day but not because of those beast's raids, but rather because of the greed of Tamers. The number of Tamers killed by other Tamers are 100 times more than the number of Tamers killed by beasts. That is the main reason our cosmos is weak amongst the others".
Who else could understand this better than Akash whose entire race was killed by the God Race's Tamers because of a single planet?
Akash asked with an excited look on his face.
"Ancestor, does that mean the force I will grow, will focus on beast's raids"
The Turtle replied
"NO! Not only you will handle the beast's raids but you have to become strong. Strong enough to stop all these meaningless wars of conquest with your power. Strong enough so that no one dares to go against you."
After hearing those words, a sudden burst of energy awoke in Akash's body, the energy that reminded him of his youth. Akash Tagar stepped forward, bowed before the Turtle and then raised his head again with a look of determination and asked.
"Ancestor Turtle, when do I start?"
