Chapter 59: Missions
Calming his horses, he looked at his pending tasks, missions, and plans.
[Mission From the Demon World's Will]
[Create a Dungeon spanning the entirety of a Nation in the Hunter World, and hand over the authority over the Dungeon to the Demon World Will.]
[Reward: Seal of Destiny (1), Portal Key to an unconquered World (1)]
This was still far from being able to be completed.
Mark shook his head inwardly and focused on the other thing he wanted to fulfill.
[Demonic Heart]
Fulfill the desires of the heart to live longer.
[Current Desires: Fight a Colossal Giant (100 Years of Lifespan) (Incomplete)]
[Life's Great Desire: Become a meaningful existence in the world, see the greatest pleasures that life has to offer, and be capable of attaining all that you desire by becoming the strongest Demon. (∞ Years of Lifespan) (Incomplete)]
[Soul Longevity: 36 Years.]
His deep desires were also far from being easy to achieve. And no new desires have been added recently. Honestly, he didn't have any new deep desires in his heart at the moment, not one for which he would risk his life to fulfill.
Only that level of desires seemed to appear here. Desires which he would risk his life to achieve without any hesitation.
The Desires weren't something he could do anything about now, either. Then, he looked at the one thing he was here in the mega-dungeon for.
[The Dream Gamble—Seo Ran Hun v/s Marcus Haeligarth]
[Dream: Ruin the facade of the Trio Hunters and get justice for the dead cousin whom they bullied to death by destroying the Trio's reputation.]
[Conditions:
1. Successfully achieve the Dream.
2. Do not hurt Seo Ran Hun's immediate family unless they go against you on their own.
3. Do not let the Seo Ran Hun die throughout the Dream Gamble's duration.
[Success Reward: You can take any one thing from Seo Ran Hun as your own (except his feelings or life)]
[Failure Price: Seo Ran Hun can take any one thing from you of his choice ((except his feelings or life)]
Mark nodded inwardly.
He planned to turn Seo Ran Hun's body—the Puppet—into a Hunter and then complete this Dream Gamble. Then, he could take the Hunter Ability that Seo Ran Hun gains as the reward for winning the gamble.
The kind of ability that he now lacked the most was a decisive killing attack, so he wanted an offensive ability.
Since he would only get 'one' of the demonic tricks of a demon when the Puppet became a Hunter, Mark's plan was to search for a Demon that only had offensive demonic tricks under its sleeve.
Then, no matter what ability of it he got, it would be offensive.
As long as it matched that description, he was ready to attack it.
Thus, curious, he and Dona began to walk around through the alleys of the mega-dungeon in search of such a demon.
They kept covert but still, Mark killed some Lower Demons and Demonlings who annoyed him on the way. With him being much more physically strong, and being more intelligent, it was easy for him to kill them and his Soul Spheres began to accumulate.
But for now, these Soul Spheres had no use other than filling up the Well inside his Soul Space. Mark turned off the violet screen and looked into the distance.
I have to find a suitable demon…

In Hanmo, the Ice God's Mansion.
"Amazing. Do you remember the Frog-like Demon we killed?" Fulan asked excitedly while stuffing his fat face full of noodles.
Indeed, he seemed to be in a good mood, Hanmo smirked.
Fulan's healing ability had grown stronger, and his body had become rather powerful. Hanmo looked at his own molars in the mirror as he pondered.
The Trio Hunters were still growing stronger every day.
They had long since become B-Rank Hunters, but that still didn't stop their growth. If it went like this, the chance of the three—Maki, Fulan, and Shiden—becoming A-Rank Hunters wasn't far-fetched.
Currently, they had just woken up and today, Hanmo had plans to head into the mega-dungeon with them.
He planned to help his students gain some more experience while growing stronger. Even though they had a bunch of fights the last few days, it was not enough.
It will never be enough.
Shiden ate the ramen slowly and asked curiously, "What about that frog-like demon? Isn't that the one we fought first? It was rather weak, but it took a lot of effort to kill it."
Fulan was full of excitement. "A new Hunter just debuted and he had an ability similar to that Frog's ability. Wall Jump. He could jump from one wall to the other incredibly fast. Like, how big of a coincidence is that?"
Maki was stirring her own bowl with a dazed expression. "We have to save this world…" she muttered.
Hanmo looked at her curiously and pushed back his white hair.
"Don't put so much pressure on your little shoulders, lady," he said, "If the skies fall, the giants will hold it up. For now, just focus on yourself."
Shiden smirked. "Aren't you one of the giants yourself, Teach?"
Hanmo smirked and spread his hands widely. "Of course, I am the Ice God. A-Rank Hunter, the most handsome man in the world, and blessed with incredible students. I am a giant among giants."
Ice seemed to glint within his icy blue eyes as he chuckled. Indeed, he was the best.
Shiden laughed. "If you are the Ice God, then I will be the Shapeshifting Alchemy God when I become A-Rank!"
Hanmo looked at Shiden with a weird face. "So cringe. What an edgy teenager."
Maki rolled her eyes.
"Hey, little girl, why are you rolling your eyes?" The Ice God squinted.
Maki shrugged. "I couldn't resist it."
The teacher's face twitched again, and he looked out the window at the traffic outside with melancholy. They were in a mansion in one of the most prominent cities in the world.
Far away from Country Q—the country taken over by the Mega-Dungeon—and way more peaceful. Here, Demons would never reach.
He, Hanmo, would never let the mega-dungeon expand till here.
"Why?" Hanmo raised his chest and pushed up his expensive glasses. "Because I am the best!"
Tired of her teacher's narcissism, Maki said, "Then go kill the Boss Demon in the mega-dungeon and save the world."
Hanmo's face twitched. "You have no sense of support. Only my men know what I want!"
Shiden nodded. "True, true."
Fulan just laughed.
"So what's the plan today?" he asked.
"As usual, we are going to Hunt." Hanmo licked his lips. "And today, we are going to hunt a big fish near the middle of the mega-dungeon."
The Trio Hunters tensed up, but Hanmo could see their excitement.
They were heroic kids.
I really love these three.
"The Demon we are hunting was sighted by a newly debuted Invisible Hunter, who could turn invisible." Hanmo said, "He went deep into the mega-dungeon and gave some pretty good reckon. He reported just earlier that a Tier 1 Demon, equal to B-Rank Hunters with Wind Abilities, is in hibernation somewhere. I will not help you fight, but I will drop you there."
The Trio nodded.
They were going for another Hunt.
