Chapter 367: - Let’s Go Hunt this Cockroach!

The demons knew Broken was tailing them? Damn! It looks like next time, he'll have to think twice before following so recklessly. He wasn't an Assassin Class with high-level stealth skills - he was a warrior! No wonder they had such an easy time tracking him.

The demons were clearly heading straight for him, led by their highest-level member, a demon clad in gleaming silver armor. It was obvious they were targeting him directly.

He realized he had no choice but to face them head-on. If Broken went all out with every summon he had, he might still have a shot at victory. Sure, they had the numbers, but with Gaia summoned, he felt invincible. He could fight freely, unafraid of running out of health, as his regeneration would be lightning-fast. He was confident they wouldn't see that coming.

And then there was the... demon helmet. Damn, the name was always a pain to remember; he had to check his inventory every time just to get it right. It was the Legendary-grade Mask of Scorched Fury!

Broken quickly equipped the demon helmet, donned the Obsidian Shroud, and completed his gear with the Invincible Paragon set-except for the helmet, of course. He was ready to take on those demons. Yeah, they were far from the city, so he could go all out in this fight. As long as he wrapped it up quickly, he wouldn't risk attracting unwanted attention from afar.

Broken braced himself as the demons drew closer.

"I know you're following us. Come out now, or I'll make you," the demon said.

Broken immediately activated his skill.

[Ashen Phantasm (Active Skill)]

He triggered the skill from his helmet, and his body was instantly engulfed in flames. With a burst of speed, he shot out from behind the trees, flames trailing behind him. The demons looked startled, quickly readying their swords, while their leader held them back, clearly intending to let Broken make the first move.

Broken skidded to a stop, flames erupting around him as he did. He'd done it purely for the dramatic entrance-this was the first time he'd used the helmet, and he was pretty proud of it. Especially since his voice now sounded deeper, and his head was wreathed in fire. That was so damn cool.

"I want the sword," he growled in his new, menacing voice.

He was ready to summon everything he had the moment one of those demons dared to make a move.

But the demons just stood there, watching Broken more closely. Then, the leader spoke.

"Infernak's helmet," the demon said. "The young master said he wanted to hunt Infernak for this helmet."

So, they recognized it?

"Young Master, is that you?"

"What the fuck are you talking about?" Broken was confused by the demon's words.

"Yes, I know it's you. You couldn't fool us without changing the way you speak, Young Master. Ha-ha. So, you've obtained Infernak's helmet on your own, Young Master?" the demon said awkwardly.

Young Master? What the hell?

The demons quickly sheathed their swords and bowed toward Broken.

"Forgive us, Young Master. We didn't realize it was you."

The demon leader smiled, stepped closer, and bowed again. "Young Master, the great lord was deeply worried when you announced you'd hunt down Infernak alone just to complete the armor set. That's why he sent us to secure Infernak's Legendary-grade sword for you."

Oh! They mistook Broken for their Young Master? Well, this just got easier. All he had to do was keep up the act, and he was confident in his ability to pull it off.

"Shut up and hand over the sword, or I'll kill you all!" Broken snapped, channeling the tone of an over-the-top, spoiled young master.

The demons immediately looked terrified. "But, Young Master..." one of them hesitated.

"I don't want to repeat myself," Broken said firmly.

The leader then ordered one of them to retrieve the sword. One of the demons entered the carriage, retrieved something, and returned carrying a long iron box, which they handed to the leader.

But seriously, the Legendary-grade sword was actually a drop from Infernak?! What a crazy coincidence. It seems like this demon had been hunted down multiple times by other demons too. Damn, they're even hunting each other for gear like armor sets and weapons. During the auction, the host barely had time to explain the sword's significance because this demon immediately placed a high bid. A few other guests tried to outbid them, but it was clear they were determined to get that sword. So, it was meant as a gift for their young master? No wonder. But now, their fake young master was standing right in front of them, ready to rob them of that priceless item.

The demon leader bowed and handed the long box to Broken. "Young Master, the great lord wished to give this to you personally, but it seems you were too eager to wait."

"I need this sword to hunt Infernak again and get even more items," Broken said arrogantly.

"But, Young Master," the demon leader hesitated, "did you truly defeat Infernak on your own?"

"How dare you doubt me?!"

"No, forgive me, that wasn't my intention."

"No, forgive me, that wasn't my intention."

"Get out of my sight before I lose my patience with you!"

"Yes, Young Master, but are you certain you don't need our assistance?"

"No, leave now."

Broken quickly grabbed the box and opened it, and yes! Yes! Yes! It was the Legendary-grade sword that had been up for auction. And now it was in his hands, all without spending a single

coin.

Without wasting any time, Broken turned and activated his dash, followed by Ashen Phantasm, and then his Stealth skill, slipping away from the demons.

He was itching to check out the Legendary-grade sword, but he needed to put as much distance between himself and those demons as possible before they realized their mistake and figured out they'd handed the sword over to the wrong guy.

But damn, those demons were seriously idiots!

The demons, especially their leader, smiled with pride, clearly pleased to see their young master transforming from a spoiled brat into someone they could be proud of.

"I'm so happy to see the young master's progress. He even seems more decisive now," the leader said proudly.

"But, Commander, are you sure that was our young master? I mean..." one of the guards

hesitated.

"What did you say?!" the leader snapped angrily. "You dare doubt the young master's strength? He was clearly as bold and commanding as our young master-there's no question

about it, hahaha."

They then continued on their journey.

Some time later, after the journey had taken them quite a distance, several carriages escorted by guards in similarly designed armor began to approach. Both groups of demons came to a

halt.

Peering out from inside his carriage, the demon leader squinted. "Isn't that the young master's entourage? Why are they here?" he wondered, then it dawned on him. "Ah... they must have come to assist the young master, thinking he might fail. Hahaha."

The demon stepped out of his carriage and approached the group ahead.

From one of the other carriages emerged a demon with a lizard-like head, two horns on its

skull, and also wearing a black robe that concealed its body.

"Wait, why is the young master here?" the demon leader said in shock.

The real young master strode forward with an irritated expression. "Hey, lowly servant, give

me the sword. Don't waste my time, or I'll kill you all!"

"Bu-but..." The demon leader stammered, confused, then glanced back. The other guards looked equally shocked, trembling with fear.

"But-but didn't the young master already take the sword earlier?"

"Why are you shaking, you fool? You're not telling me you failed to get the sword, are you?!"

Terrified, the demon leader collapsed to the ground, kneeling. He couldn't bring himself to

answer.

"Don't tell me... that person earlier wasn't the real young master?" the demon leader said, his

voice trembling.

The other guards quickly followed suit, rushing over and dropping to their knees.

The demon leader finally managed to speak. "Someone... impersonated you and took the

sword-"

"You really know how to joke around, don't you?" the young master said.

"Young master, forgive me, I'll make this right-"

But he didn't finish the sentence; his head was severed from his body before he could.

"Someone dared to mess with me? Let's go hunt this cockroach!"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
