Chapter 384: The Contribution Of The Wright Pantheon Gods
As the firestorm subsided, the mirror dimension grew still, the only sound remaining was the labored breathing of Alister.
Ignar had been completely annihilated, his once-mighty presence reduced to nothing.
But Alister was gravely wounded. His body, pushed far beyond its limits, was on the verge of collapse. Blood streamed from his many wounds, his vision blurring as exhaustion began to overtake him.
Though victorious, Alister knew he was dangerously close to death's door.
He had won, but the cost was immense. His mind, though still sharp, knew that without immediate aid, he might not survive the aftermath of the battle.
And so, as Alister stood in the quiet aftermath of the battle, victorious but barely alive.
Unfortunately, when Alister killed Ignar, he made the decision to destroy Ignar's godhead completely, ensuring there would be no trace of the High God left.
By doing so, he also gave up the chance to plunder Ignar's divine energy to restore his own strength.
Alister didn't dare risk it- he feared Ignar might have hidden a fragment of his divine soul within the godhead. Keeping it, even for a few seconds, would have been like holding a dangerous time bomb.
Though this action guaranteed that Ignar was fully dead with no remains left to regenerate from, it also meant that Alister had lost his only potential means of recovery.
With his divine energy depleted and no source of replenishment, Alister's body began to falter.
Unable to maintain the mirror dimension any longer, it shattered around him.
Alister was expelled back into the real world, weak and on the brink of collapse.
As he fell from the sky, his body lifelessly plummeting toward the earth, he realized he couldn't muster the strength even to fly. His energy was entirely spent, and all he could do was hold on to the last threads of consciousness, barely clinging to life.
Alister's sudden return to the Magic Fantasy World didn't go unnoticed. The gods of the Wright Pantheon, who had been anxiously observing the battle from afar, immediately saw the aftermath.
There was no sign of Ignar, no trace of the fiery god's presence left in the world. That alone brought them a sense of relief-they realized Alister had won. Ignar's threat, and Fantasia's looming shadow over the Magic Fantasy World, had been vanquished.
But as they saw Alister's severely injured body falling, their relief turned to worry. Alister, their God King and the strongest among them, was on the brink of death.
Without hesitation, all the thousands of gods in the Wright Pantheon teleported to Alister's location to save him.
Zanna and Lynn, his wives, arrived first, their hearts racing in fear for their beloved. Zanna acted quickly, her mature grace belying the panic she felt. With incredible speed, she caught Alister in midair, preventing his fall.
Lynn, her usually playful nature replaced by fierce determination, used her divine power to conjure a platform in the air. She also brought forth a comfortable bed with a flick of her wrist, readying a place for him to rest.
Zanna gently laid Alister's battered body on the bed, her expression soft with concern. Alister's skin was pale, his breathing shallow, and his wounds severe. It had been a long time since they had seen him this gravely injured.
Moments later, the rest of the Wright Pantheon gods arrived, surrounding their fallen God King. Even the hero party led by Toshokan Hondana appeared, their faces etched with concern for their leader.
They could all feel the weight of the battle Alister had endured. Though they were glad the Magic Fantasy World had been spared from Ignar's domination and Fantasia's grip, their focus now shifted to Alister's survival.
They knew that without their powerful leader, the future would be uncertain.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Seeing Alister's battered body, the Healing Gods of the Wright Pantheon immediately set to work, channeling their divine power to heal him.
However, to their shock and dismay, Alister's injuries were far beyond what they could mend.
The damage inflicted by a High God was too severe, and their healing powers-while formidable—were ineffective against wounds of such magnitude. No matter how much they tried, they couldn't alleviate his condition.
Faced with the grim reality that Alister was on the brink of death and that conventional healing wouldn't work, Zanna clenched her fists, her expression hardening with resolve.
Using her authority as the God Queen, she issued a command to the entire Wright Pantheon. "Every god and goddess of the Wright Pantheon will contribute one drop of their divine life essence."
Her words echoed through the crowd.
The hero party, led by Toshokan Hondana, immediately complied without hesitation, their loyalty to Alister unwavering. However, the other gods of the Pantheon were visibly reluctant.
They knew well the cost of giving up even a single drop of divine life essence. A god's life essence was intimately tied to their life force and divine energy.
In desperate situations, a god could burn their divine life essence to temporarily boost their power and perform miraculous feats, even defeating gods stronger than themselves. However, the price was steep-burning divine life essence not only diminished their life force but also weakened their overall strength and potential. It was a resource precious beyond
measure.
Gods, while immortal in the sense that time did not erode their divine bodies, did not have infinite life force.
Even they were vulnerable to having their lifespan drained by gods of death, who could reduce even the mightiest to withered corpses.
Furthermore, while gods were resistant to the passage of time, they were not immune. If a God of Time accelerated their lifespan, they would age and eventually die like any other
being.
Despite their reluctance, the gods understood the gravity of the situation.
Though they hesitated at first, Zanna's command carried the weight of authority, and their loyalty to their God King ultimately outweighed their reservations.
Contributing a drop of divine life essence would weaken them-temporarily sapping their strength, life force, and potential-but it was a sacrifice they could recover from in time, through seclusion and careful cultivation.
Zanna had only requested a single drop, not multiple. This made the cost bearable, and though the gods were reluctant, none were willing to refuse.
After all, Alister had protected them and the Magic Fantasy World from destruction, and now
it was their turn to repay that debt.
One by one, the gods stepped forward, offering a drop of their divine life essence to aid in Alister's recovery.
The essence of thousands of gods pooled together, a powerful force of life energy directed at the wounded God King.
Though the sacrifice weakened them temporarily, they knew it was the only way to save him!
