VRMMO: My first Contractee is Yandere

A small elite team.

It's my second-favorite four-character idiom, right after "bank savings."

And so, the battle between our group, the Independent Alliance, and Gimora begins.

We lined up and charged into the boss area.

At the same moment, Meme, the dwarf warrior, dashed forward, holding up her giant steel shield. If I had to describe it, I'd say it looked like futuristic armor.

Before I could even react with wide eyes, realizing something was amiss:

"Welcome! Die!"

Gimora, who had transformed into a massive undead, swung a colossal sword several meters long. The impact was like an explosion, and we faced a crisis right from the start.

But Meme moved to counter Gimora's attack.

"Deploy: [Patience of the World Goddess - The World of Patience]!"

This equipment skill makes all party members invincible for three seconds. I had heard about it before, but I didn't realize it was a divine artifact.

This cheat-level equipment is likely the reason Meme and Zerotape ranked fourth in the individual event rankings.

Gimora's surprise attack was neutralized.

Jack Jack blocked the overwhelming attack with his raised rapier. Without the divine artifact's effect, he would've been killed.

Jack Jack grinned.

"Counterattack."

His rapier gleamed gold, and Gimora's massive sword shattered. It seems Jack Jack unleashed some kind of secret technique.

We had already used two trump cards right at the start of the battle.

Just as planned.

We launched an all-out assault.

"Liora, activate [Angels Wings]."

At the same moment that Liora nodded, one of her two wings disappeared. In exchange for losing the buff, her eyes began to glow with rainbow colors.

The skill [Angel's Factor] has an art called [Angels Wing]. When 2 wings are combined, a special effect takes place.

When used only one wing it boosts HP, but when both wings are combined, it grants the ability to "see a few seconds into the future."

I don't understand the exact mechanics, but maybe it's some kind of super-fast AI thinking?

Liora started to move.

Gimora launched a barrage of countless items using [Tempest Booster].

In response to the storm of death, Liora effortlessly dodged everything by shifting her body left and right. After all, if you can see the attacks seconds ahead, dodging them is a piece of cake.

"Open."

"[Shadows Full of Death.]"

"Praise the multitude of deaths."

The five-meter-tall Gimora, having grown into a giant, leapt backward as if in fear. But Liora, unfazed, swung her scythe in a wide arc.

Well, Gimora, despite being an NPC, is alive. She's desperately fighting back against a deadly threat (the reaper girl).

Though this is a boss specializing in escape, it feels like the roles are reversed here.

We dodged the incoming statue, sprinting away.

We weaved between the falling statues. Liora sliced some of them apart with her scythe.

"I'll bring him her," I said.

I cast [Enemy Resistance Reduction] and [Gift of Venom]to knock Gimora down. Right after the statue fell, Gimora's massive body crashed to the ground.

However, through the dust cloud, Gimora, now in knight form, rushed out.

"Can you keep up with my true swordsmanship!?"

Her massive sword swung at blinding speed.

It was overwhelmingly faster than before. Likely, Gimora was exploiting the glitch with [Escape Technique 100]. By incorporating "escape actions" into her attacks, she seemed to have temporarily doubled or tripled her speed.

When pulling her arm back, she does it with escape movement.

When stepping forward, she uses escape motion.

This way, she applies [Escape Technique] to both her attack and defense moves.

As a result, a series of untelegraphed attacks were unleashed. Meme, the tank, had her arm severed, and Jack Jack, deeply slashed across his abdomen, was forced to retreat.

The difference in speed was overwhelming.

No longer able to hold back, Gimora had stopped hiding her cards.

"Understood."

I, the dark spirit, smiled broadly. Not that anyone could see.

Finally, I glimpsed Gimora's true potential.

As long as she concealed her cards, we couldn't go all out. If you have the means to counter a trump card, the one who uses it is at a disadvantage.

However, Liora was finally freed from her restraints.

"Are you ready, Liora?"

After confirming that the front-line fighters had fallen, one of Liora's wings vanished. She used the [Angel's Factor] art, [Angels Wing II].

In place of the lost wing, a buff preventing critical attacks from becoming fatal was granted for five minutes.

Liora charged forward.

Knowing the power of the attack, Gimora deliberately raised her sword to meet it head-on.

Even with my enhanced vision, I couldn't time [Dark Legion] to intercept it. Before I could stop it, Gimora's massive sword drove into Liora's neck.

With one strike, the ultimate skill [Reaper's Gift] exploded against Gimora. It seemed [Head Hunt] also activated since Liora strikes Gimora's nape.

"Evil god… huh. Sorry, Demon Lord. I succeeded in this mission, but I couldn't carry it out perfectly."

Gimora's body began to crumble.

The objective we had in jind when creating the clan was to disband it after defeating Gimora after all, we were solo players.

If the other users came to know about "Independent Alliance" the applications to join will naturally pour in which is quite troublesome.

'But since we completed our objective...guess I should be satisfied with it.'
