Chapter 88: Chapter 88: Annoying Werewolf and Interested Goddess



[3rd POV] [Hostess of Fertility]

At those words, the girls glanced at Loki, who was, in fact, staring at Talia. Talia in return, just smiled, amused. She was pretty sure that Loki thought her to be a God or something, that, or she was staring at her because she was hot...could be that too. Loki was well known for fondling some of her female members, which was both amusing and annoying to them. One of those weird family things they did, that they were used to. And one of the few things Talia would made sure Loki didn't do, but, from what she knew, Loki kept her hands to herself when involving those that were already taken.

"What should we do?" Clary asked, whispering softly.

Before Talia could respond, a voice cut her off "I'm sure you wouldn't waste your time on some crybaby you could totally crush!"

Talia blinked, and turned. Loki was at the bar at the moment, meaning the one talking, was one of her familia members. 'That's Bete...'

Bete was a werewolf, or, this worlds version at least. Basically, he had two wolf ears coming from his head. He was also a level 5, which made him quite strong, one of the higher levels within the city.

The higher the level you are, the stronger you are. The highest level person in the city at the moment, was Ottar, who is level 7 and is in the Freya familia. The strongest individual in the Loki familia at the moment was the first class adventurers, who were all level 6.

This made Freya the strongest familia within the city, with Loki behind them, and then Hephaestus behind them.

Bete was also a major douche, that Talia did not like...even remotely. He was also drunk at the moment, and was talking shit about Bell...who was a level 1.

The reason he was even doing this in the first place, was because of Ais a level five adventurer, saving the boy from a Minotaur, which was quite a bit stronger than the kid was. Minotaur's were usually on the deeper floors, roughly around floor 15-17 down. Meaning, it was far stronger than something a level 1 could defeat...usually.

As the man continued to talk trash about a literal Level 1, who was also 14, Talia's eyebrow twitched in annoyance. Not entirely because he was talking shit, but because he was screaming everything he was saying, therefore, everyone could hear him.

The only reason no one was stopping him, was because of his level, and him being a member of the Loki familia.

As he continued to yell insults about the teen, a voice that was equally as loud, and yet, not yelling, sounded out.

"Man, you really are a dick aren't you?"

Blinking, everyone slowly turned to the one who said that.

"The kid is what, 14, 15? And you're ganging up on him? Some adventurer you are" Talia said, smiling as she ignored the stares she was getting.

The girls sighed, scooching back slightly and saving their food. Knowing a fight was likely to break out.

"What'd you just say?" Bete snarled, gritting his teeth at what he deemed as a random nobody.

"So you can't hear either? What're those big ass ears for then?" Talia asked, tilting her head to the side, amusement in her eyes as the man lunged, only for him to be stopped by a greenhaired elf.

Riveria, a level six, and one of the strongest members of the familia, and one of the strongest magic users on the planet. She was also the vice-captain of the familia, and had a pretty...strict personality.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"M'am, I'd appreciate it if you didn't antagonize him" Riveria asked, sighing at the random woman that was "pushing her luck".

"And I'd appreciate it if you controlled the mutt" Talia replied, a smile on her face, as Bete broke free from Riveria's arms.

"BETE DON'T!" Riveria yelled as the man sped in front of Talia, at speeds most wouldn't be able to even see. The rest of the familia jumped to their feet, realizing the idiot was about to attack a random woman, who was kind of making a good point...for the most part.

Talia wasn't most people though, she saw his attack easily, and in response, simply caught the fist hurling towards her.

A soft *whoosh* sounded out as his fist was caught. 'He's weaker than I thought' Talia thought in disappointment, as she gripped his fist and threw him back to his familia with

ease.

"I'd suggest you don't try attacking me again" Talia said with a simple smile, as she sat back in her chair, biting into the food she had ordered. The adventurers looked at her with wide eyes, even the Loki familia stared in shock, with Loki looking more and more interested as time passed.

"GRRR, let me go!" Bete growled, only to fall as Riveria chopped him on the neck.

"I apologize for him, he's...difficult" A short man said, walking forward. This was Finn, a small blonde pallum. Which basically just made him a smaller person than usual, that looks pretty young for how old he is. He was also the captain of the Loki familia.

"Yeah, I can tell" Talia replied with a chuckle, glancing at the now unconscious werewolf.

"We'll pay for your meal and the damages" Riveria added, walking over with an apologetic look on her face.

"No need" Talia waved them off, before glancing at Loki who was looking over her group with narrowed eyes, filled with interest.

"Looks like your god is interested in me" Talia said with a chuckle, as Loki grinned and moved to their table.

"How would you like to join my familia?" Loki asked, having decided after seeing the display Talia had given her.

"Not interested. But these three would be" Talia said with a shrug, before motioning to her

girls.

"Loki what are you doing?" Riveria asked with a glare, causing Loki to raise her hands.

"Hey, hey! I'm just recruiting some potential, that's all! I mean look at her, she just beat Bete's ass! She's gotta be high level, maybe I can trade for her or something" Loki replied, causing Riveria to go silent, as it was true.

In their eyes, Talia had to be a high leveled adventurer to even be able to do what she did, one that they hadn't heard of.

"Hmm? I don't have a falna though? None of us do" Talia said, causing the girls to nod along.

"Not possible, you wouldn't have been able to defeat Bete if-" "She's telling the truth" Loki cut Riveria off, her eyes wide in rare surprise. God's had the ability to sense if you were lying or not, hence how she knew that Talia was telling the truth.

"B-but how could someone without Falna defeat a level 5?! That shouldn't be possible!" Riveria asked, while Finn looked at Talia with wide eyes. The rest of the bar was glancing at Talia with jaws dropped, having overheard the conversation.

"I'm just cool like that, simple as that. While I'm not interested in joining a familia, these three are. And trust me, they're just as unique as I am" Talia said with a smile, glancing at her girls and giving them a nod.

In response, Hope blurred next to Talia with pure speed, while Isabelle and Clary used their runes, making a ball of fire in Clary's case, and a small portal in Isabelle's. Both of these runes were taught by Talia, after realizing how useful they'd be to the two of them.

Loki's eyes practically shined as she stared at them "That...how about you come down to Twilight Manor tomorrow, and we'll talk about getting you three into the Familia? You can

come too,..."

"Talia, Talia Morningstar" Talia said, reaching her hand out, which Loki shook.

"Hope Mikaelson" Hope said, doing the same.

"Isabelle Lightwood" Isabelle said, once again followed their lead.

"Clary Fairchild" Clary said, finishing their introductions.

"Well, Talia, Hope, Isabelle, Clary, I'll be seeing you tomorrow" Loki said with an almost

excited grin, knowing she might be getting some new, and unique additions to her familia.

"Cmon! Let's get back!" Loki yelled out, causing her familia to nod and follow her out, but

not before paying for their meal, and Talia's.

Looking to her girls, Talia smiled.

"That went well"

This chapter was a genuine pain in the ass to write, so, sorry if it's not the best, lol.

Next chapter is short, but that's because I was tired while writing. The chapter after that should be better. Next chapter will also have an evolution and some dungeon diving. And yes, the girls will be joining her familia. While Talia will be staying out of it, instead training in her dungeon while they're in the Orario dungeon.
