Chapter 153: Chapter 150: The Twins
Chapter 153: Chapter 150: The Twins
[3rd POV]
A day later, Talia was in the barn putting away some of the supplies the girls had bought yesterday, as well as putting up the new farm tools she had whipped up the previous day. Tools that were...not normal.
[Omni Farm Tool - The creation of a bored blacksmith with the express purpose of having the ability to transform into any farm tool you could possibly need. Is practically indestructible, and has the ability to increase the quality of plants harvested with it]
She had made 5 of them, one for each of the girls and one for herself. They were pretty helpful all things considered, as she no longer needed to summon her other tools to her, or use magic to harvest, as now she had one tool for all jobs.
Putting the last of the tools on it's rack, Talia let out a small sigh 'Now that that is over, time to deal with the visitor' Talia thought, as she sensed a few individuals entering the farm.
Walking out of the barn, Talia watched as a truck pulled up, and climbing out was Lois, alongside her sons.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Raising an eyebrow at the sight of the twins, Talia looked to Lois "You know, when I sensed you incoming, I didn't expect you to bring your kids with you"
"Yeah, well, I decided it was time they actually met the woman that helped deal with Ally and Tal-Rho. That, and I was wondering if you could help me with something" Lois asked, causing Talia to nod.
"I'm assuming this has something to do with Bruno Mannheim? I know that you're looking into him at the moment" Talia replied, which Lois just sighed at and nodded, while the boys looked confused.
"Yeah, of course you know. Do you have any sort of information that we could use? Literally anything helps right now" Lois asked. Talia hummed before nodding.
"I suggest looking more into Henry Miller, and the fact that he had brain cancer before he got released. Is that all you came here to know? Or is there something else?" Talia asked, glancing at the twins, knowing that she wasn't just here for that.
"... Yes, actually. I-I was wondering if you could help Jordan? He's been...struggling with his training, and considering who you are, I thought that maybe you'd be able to help" Lois asked.
"Sure, I don't have much else to do" Talia replied with a shrug, not minding the idea of training Jordan, as the kid did actually need it. And perhaps she'd be able to awaken Jonathan's powers early too.
"Uh, mom, no offense, but how is she going to help Jordan?" Jonathan asked, confused. Hearing this, Talia looked to Lois who shrugged, making her realize that the woman didn't tell the two about her, which Talia was somewhat happy about, as Lois actually respected her wish of not everyone knowing.
"I wasn't sure if it was okay to tell them or not" Lois said.
In response Talia just sighed as a golden glow emanated from her form, causing the twin's eyes to widen in realization.
"Wha-" "Boys, meet Talia Morningstar, also known as...Solaris" Lois said, struggling not to laugh at the faces her boys were making. She knew that they were both...huge fans of Solaris, like...huge ones. Ever since they found out that their dad was Superman, they've come to be fans of a different hero, in this case, it was Solaris.
Looking at her in awe, Jordan immediately spoke "Is it true you can control solar radiation!" "How many clones can you make?" Jonathan asked quickly after. Her ability to make clones was public knowledge, thanks to the sheer amount of Solaris the world has seen traveling around. Only a handful of people had seen the real and original Solaris in person. And the ones that did, tended to be military personnel, or people on the verge of death.
"Yes, and as many as I want" Talia responded, answering their questions, as she didn't see any reason not to. She liked the two, and knew that they weren't the type to spread secret information or anything.
"Cool! Does that mean there's thousands of your clones out there right now?" Jonathan asked, causing Talia to nod.
"And what about the solar radiation thing, does that mean you can weaken Kryptonians?" Jordan asked, which Talia hummed before nodding.
"I can, my power over the Sun is pretty...strong. Meaning, I can control what sort of solar radiation that I give off, which includes something like the solar radiation of a red sun" Talia replied, answering that question as well, which even Lois looking a little surprised to. The fact that Talia could weaken a kryptonian at literally any moment was...a little worrying, but she trusted Talia to not do something like that.
"So, what sort of training do you want me to give them?" Talia asked Lois.
"Flying, controlling the different powers that comes with being a kryptonian, stuff like that. And it's just Jordan, Jonathan doesn't have any powers" Lois replied, which Talia raised an eyebrow to.
"That would be wrong. Jonathan here does have powers, but they seem to be dormant. I'm pretty confident that I can awaken them any moment. That way I can train both of them at the same time" Talia replied. Jonathan's eyes widened at these words, with Lois looking wide eyed too.
"Wait really?!" Jonathan exclaimed, excited at the prospect of being a hero like his dad.
"Wait just a moment there, Jonathan. I have to talk to your dad about something like this before-" "No offense Lois, but Jonathan will be waking them up either way, I can sense that sort of thing. It's just whether or not you want to do it now, so I can begin training him immediately, or if you want to wait a few more months to a year, either way, it will be awakening" Talia cut her off, as she could sense the power the boy had, and the fact that it could be awakened at practically any moment.
Lois hearing this, went silent for a minute, looking at Jonathan who was practically begging her with his eyes, and Jordan who sighed and gave her a small smile and nod.
"...Fine! But, I'd like for Clark to watch over some of them, just to make sure the training is going well" Lois said after thinking for a few moments.
Hearing what Lois said, the two teens cheered at the fact that they'd be getting taught by THE Solaris, aka the hero that had surpassed even their dad in terms of popularity.
Looking at the excited faces of the two teens, Talia only had one thought on her mind.
'I have either made a grave mistake or a great decision'
