Chapter 231: Aleron's Idea, Weekly Task
Chapter 231: Aleron's Idea, Weekly Task
Inside their new residents, Aleron, Luna, and Kira sat on the couch while watching a big screen displaying a live situation in his Midworld.
A portal was also opened nearby as Aleron sat with a contemplating expression.
Shelby was with those women, recovering them using her power and talking with them.
Although those 30 women would be saved now, their feelings regarding their children were mixed after suffering under Balgen.
They were living lifeless husks until now, but now that their life was better, their feelings had started surfacing...along with trauma.
"Alright, that's it. I'm going to make the fundamental changes," Aleron stood up and said with a serious expression.
"What will you do?" Luna asked as she sighed. "Their children will resemble Balgen a lot, they will be of his race because of the dominant factor in the children's embryo. What can you do about it?"
The women on the screen had trauma regarding Balgen, and many wanted abortion while the rest also couldn't bear to see children born from that monster.
"I can do many things," Aleron smiled. "With my mastery of Genome, I will completely modify and change their genes while removing every trace of Balgen's DNA and everything related to him. With my Genome Mods, I can give the children better genes and DNA while
keeping their mother's DNA dominant."
Kira and Luna were shocked.
"Y-You can do something like that?"
"Yep, so I am going to do that right now. Better to do it as early as possible. Those seven of them are going to give birth around a month later, so I'll fix them first."
Having said that, Aleron entered the portal and arrived in the Midworld.
Shelby and Aleron talked with the women as Aleron told them about his plan.
Hearing that Aleron could really do such a wonderful thing, all of them agreed.
One of the women, a human race lady looking in her thirties, said with teary eyes as she looked at Aleron, "Lord Aleron, you've given us a lifeline by pulling us out of the pit of despair. I've seen many women dying under that evil man as he used everyone as tools, and nobody here had any hope of a future."
"But you have given us that hope and future, so I will live for you and work in your kingdom. The child I birth will become your soldier, and I will raise him to follow you."
The other women heard her and became determined as well.
Aleron was taken aback before he smiled, "I will not dictate your life because you are free here as long as the laws are abided. Live your life however you want and stay happy. You will surely find your happiness here."
--
This project wasn't small, as Aleron wouldn't be able to fix everyone's children at once. By the time he exhausted his Genome Pulse, he had only modified four children, so it would roughly take eight days.
After finishing there, he and Shelby went back to Chaosverse while the women started living in the necropolis in their new small homes with people to help and care for them.
Aleron was happy to see his world happy and kind, with everyone thriving and living with joy.
And that was all the more reason he was determined to save his world from whatever sinister plan the Proper Path Alliance had made.
In the pavilion, four of them sat at a table to eat since Aleron was hungry after operating on four women and exhausting his Genome Pulse, while Luna and Kira also hadn't eaten for a few days as they only trained for the competition.
One of the perks of having this S-class resident was free food, so Aleron ordered a bunch of dishes using Food Crystal to contact the private restaurant of Proper Path Alliance in the city.
"So I only know one way to get information about their sinister plan," Aleron said as he drank something from a glass before continuing, "Kill someone who knows the plan and read the memories."
"I didn't know they used an entire lower cosmos to create a battery...what do they want to do using such a battery?" Luna frowned.
Luna and others were sent to Chaosverse by Cane, but Cane figured out what was going on as he felt all of the genesis energy and lifeforce flowing and storing into something, so he guessed it was something akin to a battery.
So far, only Aleron found out about this as Cane had prepared the message for him.
"We have assumed they targetted lower cosmoses, considering that Lower Cosmos Rexian was also targetted," Aleron sighed and tore off a piece of thick meat while holding bones from both sides. "How many Cosmos did they target, and how many batteries they created? Do we even have time to grow and stop them before they execute their plan?"
"I want to know more, but I need to get powerful to do that."
Luna weakly smiled, "Moreover, this force is simply too strong. Just us won't be enough. We'll need a lot of powerful allies."
"I can do something about that," Aleron's eyes glinted. "I planned to do that, but we need a secret place to hide our growing force."
"Growing force? You mean you have powerful allies already, brother Aleron?" Kira asked after suckling her finger and picking up another seasoned T-bone steak dish of some random chaotic beast.
"I don't have already, but more like I can summon powerful allies," Aleron said as he looked at his Gacha System interface.
[Ultimate Gacha System]
-Level: 4 [1,000,000 Gacha points]
-Gacha Points: 198,896
|-Summoning Banners (8/12)-|
"Although Gacha Point acquisition increased, I need to work on this daily," Aleron sighed. He told Luna, Kira, and Shelby about the Gacha System by directly sending information about this into their minds.
Of course, he also told them to create a soul mechanism to erase all memories related to the Ultimate Gacha System in case something bad happened.
Gachapi insisted on having this mechanism as a condition for telling others, and Aleron found it reasonable because if Proper Path Alliance found out about the system, it would spell
trouble.
"So you need to bet on something and win to get Gacha Points," Luna appeared thoughtful, "is there any restriction or rules to what type of betting it should be?"
"Nothing like that," Aleron shook his head and looked at the food before looking at Kira. "I bet that you will finish that Exotic Fried Rice Dish in one second after touching it."
[Gamble Quest accepted.]
Aleron shared the quest with others.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"So it can be anything, and this gamble quest gives you 300 Gacha Points, eh? Is that good amount or bad?" Luna curiously inquired.
"Bad," Aleron wryly smiled. "I need to level up the system. According to Gachapi, level 5 is the last level before I go into the Multiverse Realm. Once in there, the system will undergo
some kind of big change."
"Anyway, I need to gather one million Gacha Points, and then It'll be worth it to use the points on banners to summon more allies for us," Aleron clenched his fist. "I can summon without limit, and the more powerful I am, the more powerful they are."
Luna and Kira were dumbfounded.
"This is so powerful, from the banners I saw, you can also literally summon anything..." Luna
was a bit dazed.
"Yep. I have one Symbios Gear for you and Kira since I have some left. After eating, I'll give
them to you, and then we'll begin our weekly task from the Proper Path Alliance. We gotta
earn Gacha Points from gamblings and bring a new wife home from this mission," Aleron
chuckled.
"Shelby, you should also take one. Even though you are more powerful than average Transcendent rank, the Symbios Gear will make you even more potent," Aleron grinned. "Nobody will be able to beat you in the realm of Transcendent-rank."
Shelby smiled and nodded, "Then Shelby will gratefully accept it."
...
The squad finished eating and left the palace as they arrived at City Mountain Park, where people usually trained and meditated.
The weekly task he got was better than others as it was one of the perks of occupying an S- rank pavilion castle. Not only that, he could ask for two more weekly tasks.
A-rank could ask for two weekly tasks per week, while those living in B-rank and lower
residential pavilions could only have 1 weekly task per week.
The current task Aleron got was about entering a particular Chaotic Phenomenon formed 1189 kilometers northwest after leaving the Desolate City.
It just formed yesterday, and Proper Path Alliance secured it for the Special Paragon Class.
Chaotic Phenomena came in all shapes and sizes with different dangers and fortunes in them, and they could be measured by the chaotic force exuded into the atmosphere.
The chaotic force of 1 was the lowest, and even the weakest Paragon-rank would remain safe inside, but the reward also wouldn't be anything helpful.
Paragon-rank powerhouses could explore a Chaotic Phenomenon of up to 10 chaotic force. 10 chaotic force would also be dangerous for them as it was the highest difficulty for Paragon-
rank.
The task Aleron got was exploring the Chaotic Phenomenon of the 9.8 chaotic force, surviving it, and earning whatever fortunate he got from it for him.
But there was one more rule in Chaosverse, set by the Chaosverse itself—Not everyone can enter a Chaotic Phenomenon area except for Paragon-rank powerhouses.
Paragon-rank could enter all Chaotic Phenomena because they were deemed weakest. Unbound-rank powerhouses could only enter Chaotic Phenomena with a chaotic force of 11 or
higher.
Similarly, Transcendent-rank lifeforms could only enter Chaotic Phenomena with a chaotic force of 21 or higher.
As such, Shelby had to stay outside while Aleron, Luna, and Kira would enter.
But before leaving the city, Aleron contacted his girls in the Midworld and talked to them in his mind while staying in City Mountain Park. Due to this massive mountain's strange force field, it was the only location in the city where others wouldn't be able to pry upon anyone
secretly.
[Aleron: That's the gist, ladies. So decide among yourselves who is going to come to the new
home first.]
It was time for one of his girls to reunite with him as he planned to summon one after leaving
the city, away from any prying eyes.
With how Balgen bought slaves and used them, it wouldn't be strange in Proper Path
Alliance's eyes if Aleron started making his harem.
...
Enorin, Rias, Yueha, Mei, Ruan, and Liang sat in a circle under a lush green tree on one of the
Midworld's islands.
"So...who is going first?" Yueha asked as she looked at others and coughed before adding, "I
don't mind if I'm first to go."
"Let's decide this with a game to make it fair and square, ladies," Liang said with a smile.
"What do you say?"
"I agree," Enorin nodded, appearing eager just like others as she also wanted to return to Aleron's side as early as possible.
