Chapter 442: Endless Feuds Among the Wealthy Elite

(Fourth update. Around five o’clock in the afternoon, there will still be two chapters updated together.)

However, Luo Ziling was still very curious and begged Yang Qingyin to tell him more about Chen Jiahai and the Chen Xiaoyi sisters.

In the end, Yang Qingyin satisfied his request and shared some of what she knew about the Chen Family.

The current head of the Chen Family is Chen Ruchang, and he’s on the same level as Ling Qirui and Yang Yuanshan.

Chen Ruchang has two sons, named Chen Yining and Chen Yijing, which together mean “Peace and Quiet.”

Chen Yining has a son and a daughter; his son is Chen Jiahai and his daughter is Chen Xiaoyi.

Chen Jiahai, who is twenty-six this year, didn’t follow in the footsteps of the previous generation in the political arena but instead serves as an assistant president in a large enterprise with family backing, the Yan Mountain Group. Chen Jiahai pursued Ouyang Feifei for at least two years, but it seems Ouyang Feifei is indifferent to him. However, Chen Jiahai hasn’t been discouraged and continues to show goodwill toward Ouyang Feifei.

“But he has many lovers, and Ouyang Feifei knows this fact well. It must be an important reason for her refusal,” Yang Qingyin said with a somewhat strange tone.

Then she started talking about Chen Xiaoyi.

Chen Xiaoyi, who should be twenty-four this year, graduated from Qinghua University’s Broadcasting and Hosting program. With her background and outstanding abilities, she quickly became popular after joining a TV station.

“No one in the TV station knows that Chen Xiaoyi is the notorious Miss Chen. She’s very assertive, and many people call her a ‘tomboy.'” Although Yang Qingyin didn’t like Chen Xiaoyi before and likes her even less now, she didn’t speak ill of her in front of Luo Ziling. She just mentioned some widely known judgments about her without using a derogatory tone.

Chen Xiaoxiao, Chen Yijing’s daughter, is still a university student like Yang Qingye and also attends Qinghua University.

“She once actively pursued Qingye, but Qingye didn’t like her and directly rejected her, so she has always held a grudge against him,” she said.

“Haha, things really are quite complicated,” Luo Ziling couldn’t help but laugh awkwardly upon hearing this, “Endless grievances in wealthy families, eh!”

“There’s also that Fang Qianqian, do you know who she is?” Yang Qingyin asked softly, disregarding Luo Ziling’s reflection.

“Who is she? Don’t tell me she’s also from a rich family?” With that thought, Luo Ziling blurted out, “Could she be from the Fang Family? Fang Dongxun’s sister?”

“Congratulations, you’re right!” Yang Qingyin chuckled and said, “Indeed, she is Fang Dongxun’s biological sister. Her personality is much like Chen Xiaoyi’s, except even more bold and open in her actions. The men she’s been rumored with, there must be dozens of them at least. I’ve heard she’s even had abortions for several men. Keep your distance from this woman; she and her brother are cut from the same cloth.”

“Shouldn’t I also advise you to stay far away from Fang Dongxun?” Luo Ziling asked with a snicker in return.

In response, Yang Qingyin rolled her eyes. “Hmph, what can you do even if I’m close to him?”

“Aren’t you afraid I’ll get jealous?” Luo Ziling said with a look of grievance.

“You’re not my boyfriend or anything, so why should you be jealous?” Yang Qingyin replied, feeling pleased inside, yet refusing to relent verbally.

Imitating Yang Qingyin’s tone, Luo Ziling replied, “I like to eat seafood, and when eating seafood you add vinegar, so I love to be jealous, what about it?”

Yang Qingyin suddenly burst into laughter because of Luo Ziling’s teasing, “You annoying junior, always playing with words to make others laugh.”

“Isn’t it good to make you laugh?” Seeing Yang Qingyin laughing happily, Luo Ziling also started to smile.

Yang Qingyin took the initiative to grab Luo Ziling’s hand, “Alright, it’s getting late, let’s head back to school.”

“Hmm,” Luo Ziling agreed, tightening his hold on Yang Qingyin’s hand as they walked towards the school.

“I’ll tell you another secret,” Yang Qingyin said, looking seriously at Luo Ziling after they had walked hand in hand for a while. “Do you want to know what it is?”

“What secret? Of course, I want to know!” Luo Ziling’s heart immediately filled with an intense curiosity.

“One of my biggest characteristics is that I’m quite petty, and this is something you must remember very well,” Yang Qingyin said with a proud hum.

“Alright,” Luo Ziling hadn’t expected it to be this secret and felt a bit speechless.

“I really don’t like competing with other people for anything. Most of the time I’d rather give up,” Yang Qingyin said, looking earnestly into Luo Ziling’s eyes, before pulling him along to continue walking.

However, these few sentences deeply touched Luo Ziling. He understood what Yang Qingyin was trying to convey and had a rough understanding of her behavior during this period.

Indeed, she was a petty girl, but he liked it. Through her pettiness, he understood her affection.

After the two returned to the school, they found a dark place to entangle intimately, sharing a fierce kiss before parting ways.

Upon returning to his dormitory, Luo Ziling was surprised to find that today, nobody came by to visit, and even the other three roommates were nowhere to be seen. When he checked his phone, he learned that Cao Jianhui and the others had gone to the movies with a group of girls.

This gave Luo Ziling a sigh of relief.

He also saw that several people had sent him messages. Chen Xiaoyi sent several, inquiring about what had happened to him and if he was in any trouble. After thinking it over, Luo Ziling replied to her, telling her not to worry because everything had been resolved.

Ouyang Huihui had sent him a message too, asking if he had had a quarrel with Ouyang Feifei.

“No,” Luo Ziling simply replied with two words.

Feeling a bit tired that day, Luo Ziling took a shower and, without playing with his phone any longer, lay down to sleep. He couldn’t be bothered to wake up even when the other guys returned.

The next day, when they went to class together, Cao Jianhui curiously asked Luo Ziling, “Boss, did something happen last night? Otherwise, why did you come back to sleep so early?”

Luo Ziling replied irritably, “Nothing happened, that’s why I came back early. I was tired and went to sleep early. It’s your fault for coming back so late. I’m the one who has to get up for morning practice every day.”

That statement was true, Luo Ziling did wake up for morning practice every day, and very early at that.

When there were hardly any people doing their morning runs on the sports field, he was already there practicing. By the time most people showed up, he had finished his morning exercise and was back in the dormitory.

When he returned to the dormitory, the other three guys were still deep in sleep.

Sometimes, Luo Ziling would go back to bed for another hour of sleep after returning to the dormitory, just like he did today.

Luo Ziling believed it was essential to ensure seven hours of sleep every day as a way to maintain good health.

Hearing Luo Ziling respond like that, Cao Jianhui had nothing more to say and chuckled before starting to talk about something else.

Their first class that morning was Advanced Mathematics, and as Luo Ziling listened to the man in his fifties drone on about the dry formulas from the front, he couldn’t help but yawn. Just as he felt himself about to doze off, a scream suddenly rang out in the classroom.

Startled, Luo Ziling immediately opened his eyes, only to see the teacher, who had been excitedly lecturing, slowly collapse with both hands on his chest.
