Chapter 109: The Hunt!
Core disciple are powerful so, each one of them posses their own building, and can have few servants or slaves.
Bai Lung stood in front of one of the quarters... His figure on a void, rather than visible space.
The air grew thick with an oppressive aura, his mere presence casting an ominous shadow over the entire sect.
...
Walking out of the void,
His cold, piercing gaze swept over the few disciples he encountered, causing them to shrink back in fear, as if they had seen a ghost.
That sudden fear, that sudden blood gush... Few were panting heavily.
"Greetings Holy Envoy!"
"Greeting!"
They could sense the malevolent intent radiating from the Heavenly Envoy, like a predator hunting its prey.
At the same time, arriving at the entrance to one of the core disciples' living quarters, Bai Lung paused, his lips curling into a cruel smile.
With a slight flick of his wrist, the heavy doors were flung open, slamming against the walls with a resounding CRASH.
The terrified disciples within scrambled to their feet, eyes wide with panic as they beheld the towering figure of the dreaded Bai Lung, unable to fathom what was going on.
"W-what is the meaning of this? I don't think our senior brother is connected with Mu Chen or Ling Fei," one of the bolder ones managed to stammer out, his voice trembling.
In response, Bai Lung's eyes narrowed, a dark aura swirling around him.
"You all possess valuable spirit roots, a rare gift from the above," he spoke, his voice smooth and deceptively calm instead of acting wild.
"And I...I am hungry."
Without warning, he lunged forward, his hand lashing out with lightning speed.
The unlucky disciple barely had time to react before Bai Lung's iron grip encircled his throat, lifting him off the ground with ease.
"Aaaa-"
The disciple clawed desperately at Bai Lung's hand, choking and gasping for air.
But the Holy Envoy's expression remained impassive, as if the boy's suffering meant nothing to him.
The disciple's eyes bulged, his face turning a sickly shade of purple as he struggled in vain against Bai Lung's merciless grip.
His Life force and Qi draining rapidly.
Baam!
Crack* Crack*
With a casual flick of his wrist, Young Master Bai slammed the young man against the wall, eliciting a sickening crack as bones shattered.
"Pitiful," Bai Lung sneered, his fingers tightening around the disciple's throat. "Is this truly the extent of your strength?"
"Hmmp-"
The disciple let out a strangled gasp, clawing weakly at Bai Lung's hand.
But the Holy Envoy remained unmoved, his gaze cold and ruthless.
Swoosh~
"No matter, your spirit root will serve me well," Bai Lung's eyes glinted with malicious intent as he began to channel his cultivation, his dark aura swelling and enveloping the helpless disciple.
"Argh-"
The poor young man let out a blood-curdling scream as Bai Lung's power invaded his very being, ripping and tearing at his spirit root, from his soul.
The agonizing sensation was beyond anything he had ever experienced, and he thrashed and writhed in a futile attempt to escape the excruciating torment.
Bai Lung's lips curled into a sadistic smile as he savored the disciple's suffering, his grip tightening relentlessly.
The disciple's screams echoed through the halls, a symphony of torment that only fueled his insatiable hunger.

Once the disciple's spirit root had been completely consumed, Bai Lung casually tossed the lifeless body aside, his gaze sweeping over the remaining terrified disciples.
"Who's next?" he asked, his eyes gleaming with malicious intent looking at the trembling disciples before him.
Before they could respond,
With a flick of his wrist, he unleashed a torrent of dark spiritual energy, swirling and lashing out like a living entity.
"Your spirit roots call to me, like a siren's song," he drawled, his voice dripping with sadistic amusement.
"And I?... I am a voracious beast, hungry for power," as cringe as it sounds, it's his duty as a villain to utter such dialogue.
"Arghhhh- help me..."
"Ling Fei was correct... Holy Envoy turns out to be a real devil,"
"Help... I don't wanna die, "
The disciples scrambled in terror, their desperate cries and pleas falling on deaf ears as Bai Lung's relentless spiritual assault battered them.
The very air crackled with the intensity of his dark energy, suffocating them and sapping their strength.
One by one, the young cultivators were ensnared in Bai Lung's ruthless grasp.
He reveled in their suffering, his lips curling into a twisted smile as he drained their spirit roots, consuming their very essence, shedding no mercy.
A preditor never cares for its prey.
Their pitiful struggles were like music to his ears, fueling his insatiable hunger for power, who doesn't wish to be immortal? Who doesn't wish the very universe to submit beneath their foot?
( a/n: You? Stop the cap! )
With each spirit root he devoured, Bai Lung's aura grew stronger, his cultivation soaring to new heights.

"Truly pathetic," he sneered, tossing the lifeless bodies aside with a casual flick of his wrist.
"Is this the best your group has to offer? I had expected more of a challenge."
Snap!
With a snap of his finger, all the lifeless bodies were burnt to ashes in an instant, not leaving a single clue behind.
His spirit root was still greatly damaged so, he couldn't absorb the full Qi ( Exp ) from these disciples but what he had gained was already fulfilling.
"I hope the core disciple better be a Gifted individual..." Bai Lung said.
Yes, Holy Disciples are far more gifted and talented, but, as a direct disciple of Sect Master, Bai Lung came easily devoured than a dumb person might think.
Not to mention, If Bai Lung failed and had to retreat, it would only be a matter of time before he is caught and executed, after all, he isn't a protagonist to have z heaven guard his back.
