Chapter 372 Thor!- Part 4
'Hmph! That small ball can create immense heat like that of lava in a small area and vaporize everything in the range of five meters. Even if you are not dead, you will have sustained life-threatening injuries.' Recarde thought in his heart.
That ball wasn't a common thing. It was a weapon of destruction developed by the current Ulesis on the basis of some ancient weapon of a foreign race. Based on their lethality and use, these balls were ranked as per the human Black-Yellow-Earth-Heaven Alchemical weapon grade. The one in Recarde's hand was a low-grade earth rank explosive bomb. It could very well kill any early and mid-stage Elemental Realm cultivator if they are directly hit or are in its range. It is said to be more lethal and effective than talisman and alchemical products that are made by humans having similar effects.
Since only the Ulesis can produce them, their supply is very low and they are stored by the main tribe as strategic weapons for emergency use. Therefore, they can only be used if and when, in case, the Barbarians go to war with humans in the future or they are threatened by tribes rebelling against the Ulesis. But still, some of these portable alchemical bombs are distributed and auctioned to all the large tribes on the basis of their contribution to the main tribe. Romethra had gathered twelve of such alchemical bombs with various primary effects such as explosive, healing, freeze, poison fog, etc. The Antral Chief had acquired them in exchange for quite a large sum and merit.
As the most talented son, Recarde got two Alchemical bombs as gifts to safeguard himself in case of danger. Since the bomb was to safeguard his safety, Recarde didn't regret using it now on Thor and the Spirit Beast. "Bemo Recadre (Young Master Recarde), what's going on here? Are we getting attacked by someone" By now, the barbarians living in the tribe had arrived near the battle location upon hearing the shouts and rhythmic thumping sounds of someone pounding at the walls. They witnessed the blood-red water wall upon arriving, the Spirit Beast, and at its feet the bodies of decapitated Barbarian warriors until they saw their young master throwing the alchemical bomb at the walls. Seeing the explosion engulfing the creature and the one behind it in fire and smoke, someone in the crowd, each carrying some sort of weapon in their hands, asked.
These people were left behind as they consisted of old, very young, and some disabled barbarians. But this question had to go unanswered because when the smoke dispersed, they didn't see a corpse as they had imagined. A tall barbarian stood on the scorched-blackened ground with crossed arms and his back to the gate. Though the water wall wasn't there anymore, and the bodies of the decapitated barbarian had vanished, the enemy stood well and fine, looking completely unharmed, behind a screen.
...
A few seconds before, just when the Alchemical bomb went off, Alex activated a defensive barrier talisman covering himself from the blast. The water wall that Anahita had erected vaporized immediately, but it absorbed most of the shock and heat from the explosion. As for Anahita, unfortunately, she lost more than half her body to the blast. Though Elemental Spirit Beasts are almost immortal and impervious to physical blows, they can still be hurt or even killed by powerful enough elemental attacks. Fortunately, Anahita wasn't wiped out completely, as she quickly dispersed her body and got some of it behind the barrier in time. Being an Elemental Being, she can immediately recuperate her body quickly after resting in a suitable environment such as a lake. This is what makes them different from Demon Beasts. Though it would still take her some days to recuperate her power level to the peak as she not only lost her body, she also lost some of her Elemental Qi condensed within her body. 'Anahita, are you alright?' Alex asked worriedly.
"Pi...ng~(Ye..s)," she replied weakly. "Absorb my Qi and heal yourself in the lake inside the Demon Beast Space. Plum, look after her. You did well, Anahita. I will take care of these guys. Rest for now." Alex said as he opened the channel to the Demon Beast space, where he hosted all the Demon Beast that he had contracted. Its qi-rich environment would help Anahita recover back to her peak in an hour at most. Outside, she would have to spend a week or even a month to recuperate back to her peak level. "Plum~~" ...
Cra-Crackle! Crackle!
Streaks of lightning filled each of Thor's eyes as he opened them.
Recarde and the others were shocked to their core when they saw those cold eyes spewing out streaks of lighting. "You finally made me angry, young warrior. Quite a powerful Alchemical weapon you got there. Have you got any more of them?" Thor's voice thundered in the air.
"No? It's alright. Even if you had more, you can't use them. Do you know why? Because you would die before you touch your bag." Thor said in an emotionless voice. Lighting crackled around his body and condensed in the palm of his hands.
"Wh-o? Who are you?" Recarde asked, sounding a little suffocated due to the pressure that Thor was releasing unconsciously. He gulped in fear upon hearing the naked threat given by the enemy. He almost wanted to move his hand and take out another one of his last alchemical balls and throw it at the lighting-covered Barbarian and run. But his instinct screamed against it.
The Barbarians warriors, all five hundred of them, were also terrified, but they raised their weapons to face the enemy and protect Recarde and their tribe members standing behind them.
"Me? Yes, I should at least introduce myself before sending you off. My name is Thor, and for the record, I'm a Barbarian." Thor lied without batting an eye. He looked pretty impressed with the Barbarian warriors standing on their feet while facing his pressure.
As lighting finally condensed into a spear in Thor's hands, he turned his eyes to the youngest son of Romethra and said in a cold, unforgiving voice, "You hurt my friend Anahita, the Water Spirit. Only death will come to those who hurt my friends. So go and die now!" n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
