The Messenger of Death

Chapter 210: something wrong

Chapter 210: something wrong

Alex always knew that Xiao En was strong, but he didn't know how strong she was exactly. The force behind that attack was enough to kill Alex 10 times over, but Tsukishima blocked it like it was nothing.

Immediately Alex landed, he landed on the ground butt first. He stood up from the floor and stared at Xiao En attacking Tsukishima like she actually wanted to kill him. And Tsukishima kept on dogging and blocking her attacks effortlessly.

"Stay in one place and let me hit your ugly face!" Xiao En bellowed as she continued to attack him.

"Young mistress, if you have been cultivating like you are supposed to, by now you should have reached a realm that might have been to go against me." Tsukishima dodged a kick as he speaking.

"Cultivate my foot, you ugly monster, even if I cultivate for 100 years I wouldn't be able to catch up with you. Just take one of my attacks like a man" Xiao En uttered in frustration as she hurled a punch at him.

-Boom!

This blow was even stronger than the first one that Tsukishima blocked. The force from the punch threw Alex away again, but this time, he landed on his feet.

Tsukishima jumped up and so did Xiao En, they took the fight into the air.

"You head back to your suite now. This might take a while because she's only going to stop when she's tired." The voice of the steward reached Alex's ears.

He turned and looked at the steward with a shocked expression.

['What does it mean to be the daughter of the principal of the academy? I feel like there's something else that they don't want to speak about. I'll ask Nana when she's back.'] Alex thought.

['I think so too.'] Xander concurred.

['Don't let your curiosity tickle you, now all we have to do is to think of how to kill Duna. If he is smart enough, he should know that he is being targeted. Once we kill him, let's destroy that scheming family of his and erase the problem from the root.'] Al interjected.

['You are becoming more savage.'] Alex commented.

['We are a king, we need to send a message to all these families, that, even if we are weak now, they should not have the guts to go against us. Hmph.'] Al responded to Alex's comment.

['Later we'll have to come back here, I wanted to ask Xiao En if there was a way to make people keep their promises. And no, it's not for you, it is for those that have made a pledge and those that will make one to me.'] Al mentioned.

['If it exists and if we can get our hands on it, it will be very handful. We wouldn't have to be worried about being betrayed.']

Alex turned and started to make his way to the suite.

"Do not kill another person in this academy, at least if you do, do a better job and don't get caught. Because the next time that this happens, I won't turn the other cheek for you or your master." Argus sent a transmission to Alex's ears.

Alex acted like he didn't hear a thing and proceeded to leave the reception area.

Not long later, he reached the suite and stepped in, he saw that his teammates were preparing to leave the suite. Emma still looked shaken up.

"You are back? Are they done searching?" Drake asked as soon as he saw Alex.

"They called off the investigation," Alex answered.

"Why?"

"I don't know, probably because they realized that it was of no use," Alex said.

After seeing Xiao En and Tsukishima's little joust, that urge to get stronger rekindled once more. "The selection competition is coming and we need to get prepared for it. No one in our team is going to embarrass themselves." Alex stated as he made his way to a chair in the living room.

['Well apart from that Gus guy.'] Al interjected.

['If he's still alive.'] Alex added.

"And I have something to tell you guys, I told someone else that he could join our team," Alex informed.

"Really?"

"Who?"

His teammates asked simultaneously.

"Yeah, someone from our class," Alex replied.

"Is he strong?"

"Why?"

They asked simultaneously once again.

"No, he's not strong, and why? Well, let's just that he's a pitiful person and I decided to offer a helping hand."

Hearing that reply made Camron cringe. He knew that Alex wasn't the kind to do things like that, at least not for free.

"What do you have to gain from adding a new person to our team?" Camron asked.

"Even I don't know, another me just thought of taking over the world and decided to add that stalker into his plans," Alex muttered.

"What did you say?" Katherine asked, they couldn't hear what Alex had said.

"Nothing, Can't I give a helping hand to those in need?" Alex asked.

"I don't think you have one of those a helping hand." Camron shook his head as he refuted Alex's claim.

"What about the person's previous team?" Adrian asked.

"As I said, he's a pitiful person. He doesn't have a team."

"And who exactly is this person?" Camron asked.

"Gustavo," Alex revealed.

"Huh!! The stalker?" Katherine was surprised to find out who her new team member was.

"Woah, just woah." Those were the only words that Adrian could utter

"Oh, that's sad," Emma uttered.

"I guess, it's alright to add another person to the team." Camron thought. He knew that Alex must have a reason for bringing in another person to the team, even if he's hiding that reason behind a helping hand.

Alex turned and faced Emma. "Are feeling better now?"

"Yeah. I really don't know what came over me. Sometimes I do get emotional when I think about my mother, but it has never been this intense. Now that I think about it, it was as if my emotions had been amplified." Emma explained.

"When I saw the hairpin, the first thing that came to my mind was my mother, then the memories of the things that took place and partially lead to her death, flooded my mind. The next thing I know, I couldn't control my emotions." She added.

"You need to get better control of your abilities so that you don't lose control like you did today, again. If you can control just 5% of your abilities, even I don't think that I would be able to beat you. Basically, your ability is nature, or should I say that you might be nature's incarnate." Alex stated.

Hearing that made Emma feel a lot better.

"Thank you," She said to Alex.

"We have to get ready for the selection competition, starting from tomorrow we need to train and try to get better at controlling our abilities." Alex was referring to Emma and Adrian.

"So you are going to help us train tomorrow?" Adrian asked excitedly. At this point, Adrian sees Alex as someone that could solve whatever issue that he had.

He felt like with Alex's assistance in his training, he would progress faster.

"Yeah, I've got nothing else to do anyway," Alex assured.

['Besides, I have already promised to help a mutt and by helping you guys get stronger, I'm helping the mutt's wish come true.'] Alex thought to himself.

['Who knew that you would be so diligent, Hahaha.'] Al began laughing, he was quite happy that Alex was keeping his word.

['Thank you, rabbit.'] Al thanked sincerely. ['I'm not being sentimental or anything like that. I know how hard it was for you to accept us. Even though I say mean words to you, it's because I expect more of you. Although you still haven't said anything about the co-existence matter, I know that you-']

"Where's all this emotion coming from? And he says that he's not being sentimental." Alex interrupted.

"What did you say?" Camron asked.

"Nothing, I was talking to myself."

['Shut the f*ck up boy. Can't you see that I'm trying to be nice, do you know how out of character that is for me?'] Al snapped at him.

Alex chuckled when he heard the Al that he knew. ['A simple thank you would have sufficed. You being emotional is disgusting, just be the jerk that we know and hate. That's the way we like you.']

['Ungrateful prick, you should be the one thanking me. Hmph!'] Al mentioned.

His attitude made Alex smile, ['Oh my, forgive me. Thank you for all you've done for me, my king. Come to think of it, you are the youngest amongst us.']

['Shut up.'] Al demanded.

Alex left for his room

On the morning of the next day, the seraphim team members headed to the backyard of the guest inn. All of them, except the new recruit, Gustavo.

Just before they started anything, Xiao En arrived and called for Camron. She handed a letter to him, a letter that has his family insignia on it.

Camron opened the letter and began to read its contents. From his facial expression, Alex and the rest could tell that something was wrong.

"You guys continue with the training, I have to head home for now." Camron said.

"Is anything wrong?" Alex questioned.

"It's nothing much, I just need to go and greet my sick mother." Camron forced a smile on his face and it was obvious to the rest that his smile was forced.

"I'll be back in a day or two." Camron left the area.

['Something is definitely wrong, but if he's not going to talk about it then I won't think about it'] Alex thought.
