Chapter 188: Chapter 187 Time is Enough
Lu Mian’s words were calm, yet they carried a powerful resonance.
Teachers in the office were profoundly moved, silently touched. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
If their own students could say such things to them, their teaching career would be truly fulfilling.
They couldn’t help but feel somewhat envious of Ding Cai.
Ding Cai managed to maintain composure, feeling it was the only way to match Lu Mian’s momentum.
Zhang Wenqiang, Qiang Hua, and a few other teachers with better performing students felt very awkward, their faces growing increasingly ugly.
“Big talk for someone so young,” Zhang Wenqiang laughed dismissively, “Good physics scores alone don’t mean much; when the rest of the subjects are terrible, what’s there to be proud of?”
“But…” Zhang Wenqiang covered her mouth, speaking with contempt, “To Teacher Ding, Lu Mian indeed is a precious gem. After all, he teaches Class 25, and apart from stumbling upon a genius like Su Luo, there really isn’t a noteworthy student in your class.”
With overall poor grades and ranking last, what good could come of it?
Lu Mian lacked foresight; a student like that had reached their limit.
She scoffed, “No good deed goes unpunished! Even if someone begs me in the future, I would never take her back. Heh, best of luck to Class 25 on your monthly test in advance!”
Lu Mian couldn’t be bothered to deal with her and simply walked away with Ding Cai, leaving a group of teachers looking at each other in dismay.
Ding Cai looked at the tall, slender girl before him, who was just a student but whose presence was as commanding as anyone else’s. He swiftly wiped away the mist from his eyes and followed her.
“Lu Mian, don’t take those teachers’ words to heart; they’re just talking nonsense,” he said.
“Teacher Ding, didn’t you tell me we have to overpower them with our momentum?” Lu Mian asked, tilting her head while striding forward confidently, flashing Ding Cai a faint smile.
“Oh no,” Ding Cai lamented, “I said that because I didn’t want you to lose confidence…”
Lu Mian thought he was overthinking it and asked seriously with slightly firmed eyelashes, “Teacher Ding, what level of achievement do you hope for Class 25?”
“It’s not something I can just decide.” His class proudly held the bottom three places in the grade; turning things around wouldn’t be easy, “The monthly test is imminent, and a few days won’t change much.”
Ding Cai mumbled to himself, then upon realization that he was discussing these matters with the student who ranked last, felt a bit bizarre.
“Actually, as long as our class ranking isn’t last, that would be quite satisfying!”
“Oh,” Lu Mian replied helplessly, “You really don’t ask for much.”
She checked the date on her digital watch; there were only four days left until the monthly test.
There was enough time.
After returning to the classroom, Lu Mian uncharacteristically pulled out her workbook and textbook. Shouhao in the front row was stunned, watching her open her notebook and flip through the textbook as if by magic.
“Hey, Brother Mian, did you grab the wrong book? Or did someone tick you off again?”
Lu Mian, earnestly gripping her pen and busy writing, didn’t even lift her head but still cared to ask, “Where’s Pudgy Hao?”
“He took a leave, said there was an emergency at home. It’s bothersome, we don’t know what’s so important when the monthly test is just around the corner. The three of us still have to stage a comeback!”
Lu Mian pursed her lips and told him to “keep it up,” then continued to immerse herself in her work.
Shouhao got goosebumps all over.
Brother Mian was too abnormal today!

Meanwhile, Zero’s stock investment group had been quiet lately.
Many people in the group asked why the genius hadn’t posted new messages recently. Zero just laughed and told them to wait quietly.
Then he glanced at that group member called “Yao Jue,” with her plum-colored lipstick, revealing a mischievous smile hinting at stirring up trouble.
What do you think?
