The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 272 - You Have A Fiance!

Chapter 272 - You Have A Fiance!

"Are you out of your mind Jennifer Taylor?"

Her mother called her full name and Jennifer was already alarmed. Her body stiffened at the voice of her mother, making her eyes wide and alarmed already.

"I..I.. just.."

"You have a fiance! For God's sake Jennifer! You have a fiance and just a month or two ago, you were going to marry that man! And now you're telling me on my face that you have someone else!?"

The anger was quite evident which was hard to ignore. The sound of something resigning from the other side entered into her ears, making her heart skip a beat too.

"I..I.? just.. wanted to say.. like what is.. the possibility of you letting.. will I stay here?" Only if she could express how she felt at this point and the instability that already arose in her heart and mind.

"You know what I like and don't like. Jennifer.. you're making a big mistake already. Since it's just infatuation, get over it and remember who your ego is."

There was no hesitation in her mother's voice. She just spoke bluntly, without even taking into consideration her daughter's feelings.

If only she knew that it wasn't mere infatuation but has been more than that, thought Jennifer.

Her hands clutched her own dress from the side and she controlled her tears at the bay, "Mother… I know that I have a fiance. But that fiance doesn't care about me, not even about being loyal to me!"

"Shut up! Your parents came here to get your back so that these Johnsons don't hurt you and now, you are telling me that this is the state you wish to live in?" She wasn't happy, and Jennifer already sensed that.

But what about her own happiness?

What about her own mind, feelings, and other stuff?! Can anyone even take care of her life?

How much she craved to tell them that it was her own life where she has the right to whatever she has craved for.

"I guess you need to think about this with a calm mind." Was all that Jennifer said but in return, her mother's shrill voice came, "Think?! Jennifer, did we send you abroad for this? We didn't. Our business is almost in the fall. Lucas is willing to help."

"And you are selling me as the toy to the other party as the bargaining chip!" Finally, Jennifer told her mother what she was taken in. Something, which she has been holding for so long already, making her heart skip a beat.

Was she the mere puppet, in return they can get whatever they have the wish to? It made her laugh.

Lack of response from the other side only made her heart a little bit unstable where she was expecting her mother to give a sharp reply.

Instead, all she received was silence.

After a long time, her mother coughed and gave her a short reply, "No means no. You will get married to the person we want… so get over that liking of yours."

With no option left, the only way is to defer this topic for some other time. 'Because if I talk right now anymore… it will make me angry, as well as risk me almost going furious..'

Recalling her angry nature, there are very low chances of getting control over her as well.

At last, she massaged her temples and nodded her head, "Anything else?"

"I was waiting for you to tell me. When are you planning to get back to us? There Is limited time.." she knew that time is limited, but she is married to the heir of Johnsons…

"I will tell you very soon. I..I.. just need some time. Goodbye." With this, she hung up without waiting for her mother to say a single more thing.

A deep sigh escaped her lips when she relaxed the seriousness of the situation. They all were simply turning against her side.

'Gosh… I can't even do anything with this. Mother.. why are you putting me in this situation..' it gave her heart a bit of uneasiness and address added over the same.

As she stared at the phone, she knew that there were more chances of getting caught, 'But I can't let this phone slip away too..'

With this thought occurring in our mind, Jennifer immediately brought the handkerchief out and wrapped it in the same way like earlier it was done.

Putting it in the dustbin, she kept it in the last end so that no one is able to even keep an eye over it. At last, her heart's thunder aloud in her chest as she walked away.

Washing her hands, Jennifer made her way out of the room but no one can deny that her heart was already in turmoil.

The risk she took was of another end where she felt that things were almost getting out of her hands. Why are her parents even here!?!

At this point, Jennifer really questioned their presence. Was it to ease her or to increase her tensions and worries?

Sitting on the edge of the bed, did she sighed in relief but at the same moment, it never made her heart skip a beat when she sensed herself digging a grave for herself.

'Why did I even contact them!? It would have been much better the other way around if I never met them in this state..' Surely she regrets her decision but it can't be undone anymore.

Keeping her face into her palms, somehow she tried to manage the messy emotions but it was already a big deal to do.

A tear escaped her eyes, sliding through her cheeks. If only she could explain this to anyone.

But soon afterward, she sensed the knob of the door being closed when it was wide open and the man entered.

Javier, who simply just stepped in, found his heart into his mouth when he yelled.

"W-Hwat happened to you!?!"
