Chapter 95 Set On Journey II
"You will provide him with one, and choose a good one too. Leave it at the west side outside the city wall, he'll get it there. Make sure he doesn't find out about our contact with each other." The messenger said to Akara before he left, disappeared into nothing.
With the orders given, Akara began moving immediately. According to the messenger, Dustin would be moving out the next morning, so Akara had to get everything prepared before then. The messenger had come to her right after meeting with Dustin, so she began moving right after.
The next morning came quickly, and Dustin was up early around 6 in the morning. Everything was already packed, so he just washed himself up and wore appropriate clothes. According to the messenger, the place he was going to was a volcanic region with molten lava flowing like streams and rivers all over, so he's current clothes had fire resistance imbued into them, and also had a cooling function. Dustin had to press the messenger before he got the thing. 'Such a tight handed person.' Dustin thought to himself as he put the clothes on.
The clothes looked a bit baggy on him, but he didn't mind as it was kind of his style. This way, he could even even hide some weapons or something, if he didn't have his system of course. Dustin liked having thins like his weapons on him, as the system wasn't lightening fast when he had to put in or retrieve items, so if he was attacking at high speeds, it might not be the most effective. For now however, Dustin left his weapons in the system, apart from the double axe that was a bit portable, the great axe wasn't, and he didn't need the sword.
Dustin went to the pre-set location where the messenger said there would be something to take him where he was going. Getting there, of course there was no Akara present or anybody, so all Dustin met was a large draconic looking creature with wings and two legs. Immediately as Dustin saw the creature, a name popped into his head, a Wyvern. As the monster saw him approaching, it spread its wings wide and stood tall.
'Is he trying to kill me or challenge me?' Dustin asked himself as he saw the way the creature behaved. The next seconds that came though, the monster settled down and closed it's wings. Not wanting to test if it was trained or not, Dustin wasted no time in using his kill and subduing the creature.
[Tame successful. View Information?]
"Yeah."
From the system, Dustin confirmed his earlier guess, as it indeed was a wyvern.
..

Dustin took a quick glance at the window that appeared before his eyes before dismissing it. He did see sprint as a skill for an airborne creature, but then again, since it affected moving speed, it was all good.
Dustin quickly climbed the wyvern and took off with it. He wondered how the messenger could just leave such a creature there like that, unrestricted. It could very easily attack the town, and when it was killed there would be nothing for him to use as a ride. 'Is he really a god?'Dustin asked himself as he rode the wyvern towards the east.
It took Dustin a day and half to get to the destination, as he had to stop and rest. The wyvern could not fly for ever too, so they had to stop once for it to rest, and that was the first night. Before day broke the next morning, they were already back in the sky, and by noon the next day they arrived at the place.
Dustin needed not be told that he had gotten to where he was supposed to go, as even from afar, with the advantage of flying, he could see the numerous and dense clouds of smoke hanging above the ground, constantly being refilled so they didn't disappear. He planned to jump off the wyvern, as he wasn't sure if it would be able to last long in such an environment. It's relatives were dragons, but still, Dustin wasn't sure if fire resistance ran in the blood.
The wyvern was able to get close enough to land to do a sweep through, and using that opportunity, Dustin jumped down. Now that he had tamed the wyvern, he could just unsummon it, but he left it to fly around and help him look for the people he came to get. Currently, he had no summon that could operate effectively in such an environment, so the wyvern was his only hope.
"This place is insane. Who would have thought a place like this existed?" Dustin said to himself, as he stood before a small river of volcano.
Dustin had waned to check how durable he was once he got here by deactivating the effects of the clothes the messenger gave him, but then again he had learnt not to challenge the unknown, so the test would have to wait. 'If the clothes fail me, then I'll see.' He said in his mind before looking around to find his way through the terrain.
The place was filled with hard rocks and magma. Dustin could only pray that a volcano doesn't erupt while he was there. Because of the cloud of smoke above the entire place, it was simply impossible for him to know if the time was day or night at any given time. Dustin had to count using the time he arrived in the region and the current time.
After spending the remaining of the day navigating through the rugged terrain, Dustin evaluated that it would be night at the time, so he paused for a while and awaited the wyvern. After some minutes, the wyvern swung towards Dustin and landed skilfully.
"It really is convenient to have a flying summon. Tell me what you saw." Dustin asked. He already knew that the wyvern must not have seen anything significant, as if it did it would come sooner, so now he just wanted to know if there was anything unusual the creature discovered.
'Oh? That might be people.' Dustin thought to himself after the wyvern had relayed the information it had to him. Dustin was sure that he had gotten a lead, and so wasting no time, he left the location he just was at on the wyvern as it took him to the other location.
'Ah, there really is no rest for a hardworking man.'
