Chapter 43 - 43 Giving An Idea
43 Giving An Idea
Xia Wan glanced at the few dishes that the boss had written on the small Blackboard and said, “Boss, I’d like a tomato fried egg and a bowl of rice.”
Ah, okay. Take a seat here first. I’ll serve it to you later.”
The boss responded and recorded the order in the small notebook in his hand. The chef behind him began to stir-fry the vegetables.
Xia Wan randomly found a seat near the door where she could enjoy the scenery while she ate.
Just as the dishes were about to be served, she happened to hear the discussion at the table at the entrance.
One of the slightly chubby men was holding a newly made can and fawning over another man who was dressed fashionably.
“Brother Xu, look at this. I learned how to do this. Does the canned food look good or what? I’m sure it’ll attract everyone’s attention. By then, your brand will definitely be able to regain its past glory.”
The fashionable man looked like he was only 18 years old, while the chubby man looked almost 30. However, from the way the chubby man was trying to please him, it was obvious that the fashionable man was of high status. From his clothes, he should be from a rich family.
The fashionable man, Xu Ye, looked at the can he handed over and frowned. “Zhou Shu, do you think I’ve never seen the world? What’s the difference between this and the one you gave me last time?” There’s no change in the taste. Do you think others will be interested in our canned food just by changing its label?
“If you can’t think of a good idea, then say it. Don’t try to fool me. Do you really think I don’t know anything?”
Zhou Shu noticed that Xu Ye was a little angry, so he quickly tried to appease him. “Brother Xu, please don’t say that. Everyone knows that you go to the more prosperous places. It’s not something people from small places like us can compare to. I’ve really tried my best.”
While Xia Wan was eating, she glanced at the Xu family’s canned food and remembered that they were once a company with a conscience. The Xu family’s canned food was very popular in the county a few years ago. However, many people began to use imported goods, greatly impacting domestic products and subsequently causing their total elimination.
If they weren’t quick to change, they would be eliminated. Such was the characteristic of this era.
“It’s just a small change, of course. It won’t help it survive. Sometimes, danger represents new opportunities. It depends on whether or not you can grasp it,” Xia Wan couldn’t help but say.
When Uncle Zhou heard the voice, he looked toward the source of the voice. When he saw that it was a little girl, he immediately looked a little displeased. The way she treated Xu Ye was completely different from how he treated him.
“Who are you? Is it your place to speak? What qualifications do you have to guide us?”
Xu Ye’s eyes brightened when he heard what Xia Wan said. It was exactly what he was thinking. He had an intuition that the cannery needed to make changes in order to survive. However, he was troubled by the question of making a successful change.
Xu Ye glared at Zhou Shu, then looked at Xia Wan with a gentle gaze and said to her, “Little sister, I wonder what you have in mind? Can you tell me? This can factory is very important to our family. My grandfather built it.”
Xia Wan smiled and pointed at the food that had been served. “Okay, this meal is on you. I’ll talk to you about it.”
Hearing her words, Zhou Shu snorted coldly. “I thought you were capable, but it turns out you just can’t afford your food. Now that you’ve heard our conversation, you’ve come to cheat us.”
Xia Wan squinted dangerously and shot Zhou Shu a warning look. “Just because you’re incapable doesn’t mean that others are. I’m not talking to you. You have no right to interrupt.”
Even though Xia Wan was young, the aura that she burst out immediately intimidated Zhou Shu. It was as if the little girl in front of him could end his life anytime.
Xu Ye also warned Zhou Shu. “Don’t talk too much.”
The next moment, Xu Ye sat directly next to Xia Wan and said with a smile, “Little girl, order whatever you want. It’s okay even if you can’t say it well. Today’s meal is on me.”
