After a while, Luo Qintian turned around and looked at Luo Baiyun calmly. He walked ahead and sat in front of his son and stared at him sharply.

"I don't know why you are not rejecting the marriage proposal from another city but keep that in your mind. She doesn't need to go there. I won't let my granddaughter leave. She will remain in this city."

"But, listen…" Luo Baiyun wanted to speak but got interrupted by the old man again.

"I don't care who she marries but she must stay in the Long city after her marriage! That's final!" Luo Qintian's authoritative voice rang out and made Luo Baiyun's mood bad. Luo Qintian's stubborn side was flaring up again!

Both of them knew that Sheng Ruming was the only son of the Sheng family as well as the CEO of the Sheng Industry and Corporation. There was no way he would come to stay in the Long city permanently. 

But Luo Qintian didn't want his granddaughter to leave either. Such a granddaughter could only stay in their Luo family!

Luo Baiyun wanted to refute Luo Qintian's decision but he didn't know what to say to the old man. He still remembered that time he used to bring Luo Lixi to Ming city to meet that young boy. 

Over time he realised that her infatuation with Sheng Ruming was more than love. The emotions in her eyes were too deep for Luo Baiyun to not understand. 

Not to say after she talked about grandchildren, he guessed that she must have had children with him in her past life. So, from then on, he was also looking forward to seeing his grandbabies!

He could not bear to make her sad but at the same time, he didn't want to make his father mad. For a moment, he was in a great dilemma!

After debating in his mind for a moment, Luo Baiyun stared at the old man and said with a sigh, "Father, you should know people's hearts... They are very stubborn. Our girl has been bright since she was a child. 

This time I am not refusing the Sheng family because they are influential and have good connections in Ming city, not to say the young man likes Luo Lixi. It's hard to find a sincere heart nowadays."

Silence.

Luo Qintian raised his wrinkled eyes and stared sharply at Luo Baiyun. His eyes narrowed as his heart began to feel restless. 

Afterwards, he turned his eyes away with a 'humph' and began to make green tea with the materials provided by the restaurant. The smoke that came out of the cups made him much calmer. He gave himself a cup and pushed another towards Luo Baiyun. 

Luo Baiyun didn't reject him and picked the cup. While taking a sip Luo Qintian glanced at the man and asked, "Don't tell me… she likes him?"

Luo Baiyun didn't reply directly. Realising something, Luo Qintian narrowed his eyes. He sighed heavily as he murmured in his deep yet hoarse voice, "Did you forget the priest's words?"

"I didn't forget that's why I am telling you to agree to this proposal. That old priest also told that her husband will be a leader. Father, don't you understand a bit she also likes…"

Before Luo Baiyun could finish Luo Qintian showed him his hand to stop. The old man didn't want to accept anything easily which would go against his wishes. He looked down at his teacup and swirled the red water with cold eyes. 

After a while, he looked up at his son who was still looking at him for an answer. He sneered and inquired with sharp eyes.

"Many years ago, you helped someone in the Ming city and didn't give me a proper explanation about it. So … it's them, right?"

Luo Baiyun didn't reply and continued to stare ahead. A smile appeared in Luo Qintian's wrinkled face and suddenly he threw the teacup towards his son's face. 

Luo Baiyun dodged the cup and stood up. Then he was met with Luo Qintian's anger.

"Who would calculate to throw his child to another young boy? Are you out of your mind or my education didn't go to your head in those past few years?! You dared to be so calculative at that age of hers?!"

Luo Baiyun realised his father had misunderstood something. But if he thought like that it was true. He helped them but just for his daughter's sake. Also, how could he explain that… It was his dear daughter who had wanted him to do so all along?!

"Father, they were just friends to each other and nothing else. Over time feelings grew deep. She agrees so we don't have anything to reject. Or… you also want to see her throwing everything back and running away to Ming city?" Luo Baiyun spoke out with a smile while Luo Qintian stiffened at his words. Luo Qintian felt like slapping the smile out of him. 

He recalled the times when Luo Baiyun married and the peculiar situation at that time. Suddenly the sweet rose tea became very bitter when it entered his throat.

His eyes moved towards the windows and finally, after a moment of thinking, Luo Qintian made a decision. Luo Qintian stood up and said, "I will talk about it with her."

When Luo Qintian began to leave the room Luo Baiyun hurriedly stood up and called out, "I have already talked about it with her. If you also go ahead, she will be very embarrassed. After all, girls are shy about these matters."

Despite hearing his words Luo Qintian left the room. it was late at night yet many people were still eating and chatting in groups in the open space. He made his way towards the room he had booked for Luo Lixi and pushed inside.

But only two men were inside who were busy eating and drinking.. When the door was pushed open, Zhao Yichen was alarmed and tried to push Leng Zichun away.
