Chapter 137: Mirenda & Discussion, Boon
"Oh?" Mirenda was curious. 'He might indeed surprise us since he seems to have a good grasp of space somehow.'
"Come on. Show us, babe," Lilith asked, eager to know.
"Alright," Erix grinned and snapped his finger as he activated the skill rune he had just created, causing two orbs to float to his sides. One white and one black.
"Guess what can these orbs do?" Erix asked, a smug smile on his face.
"This…" Mirenda narrowed her eyes while Lilith raised her eyebrows as they both used their spirit senses to observe and inspect the orbs.
"Impossible," Mirenda murmured. "How did you even learn gravity? You just awakened the space affinity…"
"Indeed. These two do make rapid progress," Lilith wryly nodded.
Erlx laughed and said, "Let's just say that the Spiritual Art Rin and I practice allows us to self-learn faster than others as long as we work hard for it."
'That new power of the spiritual art...we'll need to discover and learn it,' Erix thought.
"That's good," Mirenda nodded. "This event is going to be tough, and you might even die, so exercise caution and don't underestimate others."
"You two have just entered the Noble order, but there will be people at level 200 as well," Lilith said somberly. "You have a chance to take the first rank in this Chaos Race event, but you'll have to work with wits and power both for that."
Erix knew not to take this event lightly as he nodded, his expression serious, "Rin and I do not compromise when it comes to our lives. We've died once, but no more. But that also doesn't mean we won't take risks because risks are the fundamental circumstances tied to getting stronger both mentally and physically."
"As long as you know which risks to take and which not to, you'll be fine," Mirenda smiled.
"And sometimes, you have to take risks based on your guts, not just logical statistics," Lilith added with a grin as she blew a kiss at Erix, "Just like how I did and succeeded."
Erix ferociously grinned, "Rin and I have been passionate about martial arts, and the change in our world attracted us to unthinkable possibilities with magic and stuff, and to rise above others, we can't just flow with them."
Leaning back, Erix carefreely smiled, "I am glad Rin and I died in the tower and arrived here."
"Well, if you die in your world's Labyrinth Tower again, you won't arrive in any Abyss unless you someone earn an Abyss revival ticket, so don't die next time you return to your world," Mirenda said
"And how do I return to this Kaalanx Abyss in a normal way?" Erix curiously asked, "Without dying."
"Factions," Lilith answered. "Your world will welcome factions after any Labyrinth tower of your world clears the first floor."
"As a matter of fact, I am a member of a faction called Unending Chaos," Lilith added with a grin. "Though I'll be kicked out soon since I've ignored it."
Mirenda rolled her eyes, "But she is going to create her own faction soon. Her potential increased dramatically thanks to you, so she can achieve it sooner than expected."
Erix laughed. "That's good."
He could enjoy two beauties in his arms, and he had unlimited stamina, so he had nothing to complain about his situation.
But Erix was curious about one thing. "What's the difference between Guilds and Factions?" he asked.
"The difference between factions and guilds is akin to a village and a country but on a larger scale," Mirenda explained. "First of all, you have to get the approval of Mystic Root to establish a faction, and the first step to get that approval is to reach Ruler Order."
'Ruler order? Interesting,' Erix thought before he asked, "What level can one reach Ruler-order rank?"
"501," Lilith grinned and said, "I would need five to ten years to reach there depending on our luck and other unforeseen situations, but I am ready for the journey with you two."
"Mirenda~ How about you also join us?" Lilith chuckled.
"Shoo," Mirenda rolled her eyes. "I have a daughter to find."
"You have a daughter?" Erix was surprised. "What happened?"
But then he realized something and dryly chuckled, "I know it's a sensitive to-"
"It's fine," Mirenda waved her hand. "She is grown up and tough, but I still want to find her before anything else. It's been five years now."
"Since you want Overhaul Scroll, I think you still haven't gotten a lead on her," Lilith softly sighed.
"What does that item do? I've been curious," Erix asked.
"It can do multiple things based on the type of Overhaul scroll you choose to get as the reward," Merinda said. "The one I want is a type of Overhaul Scroll called Overhaul Fate Scroll, It can arrange a scenario you write on it and make it happen within a certain time frame."
"Wow...that's crazy," Erix was dumbfounded to hear the effect.
"It can be arranged," Mirenda smiled. "The so-called Mystic Root can arrange it because it's connected to everything within cosmos. Although its useless to ask more about it because no one knows more details about it."
"Anyway, Erix," Lilith said after Mirenda finished explaining. "I think you and Rin still have the rewards you've saved from the Death Circus event, right?" Lilith smiled. "Come on, open them. Now is the time since you've reached Noble-order, and the event is also coming."
"Ah, right. I almost forgot about it," Erix nodded as he took out the rewards.
—> A random Tier-2 item box (Rare to Legendary)
—> A Tier-1 Legendary grade weapon selection box.
—> A random Tier-2 skill box.
Seeing the boxes on the table, Mirenda chuckled. "Good job on saving them. The general rule for newbies is to save any Tier-2 boxes until they reach Noble-order."
"Lilith told us to save the rewards," Erix chuckled, "Let's see what I get."
Erix touched the skill box first as he wanted a new, random skill. After all, He hadn't gotten any random skill after dying. All of his and Rin's arsenal of moves were the ones they self-created based on their experiences.
The box opened, bursting out golden glowing sparks before it vanished and left a furled scroll behind on the table.
The three of them inspected the silver scroll and got its information.
"T-This…" Erix was startled. "So lucky?"
Lilith laughed, "I told you."
"Good indeed," Mirenda smiled. "You should also collect skills based on your affinity to learn various types of formation based on that element since all elements have their particularities."
"Great…" Erix grinned because this skill was certainly a boon to him.
