Chapter 651: Chapter 645: Perfect Timing – End
Until now, not even some of the smaller royal families have had the Supervision Bureau send so many warships. That implies this person was likely a prince from one of the royal family’s nine major lineages; otherwise, the Supervision Bureau wouldn’t have deployed so many warships.
Luckily, the situation hasn’t reached a crisis point. Although the Supervision Bureau has dispatched warships, they’ve only done so defensively and have not attacked. They’ve merely come to pick someone up. Once they send this man away, everything else should be easy to resolve. They can continue living as they had been – the Supervision Bureau wouldn’t go out of their way to manage their affairs.
“Your Highness, welcome to Death Star. I’m sorry for the trouble caused today,” John Jenkins quickly appeared before Finn Lewis.
“No problem,” Finn Lewis shrugged. Although these people were interested in his wealth, he didn’t care too much about the money due to its easy acquisition. Besides, maintaining a good relationship might prove useful in the future.
“Your Highness, do you need us to deliver your goods anywhere?”
“No need, I will take the less bulky items with me now,” Finn thought for a moment and decisively replied.
“Yes, sir. This is the ‘Essence of Life’ seed you just purchased. You can take it now,” John waved his hand, and an associate instantly handed over a box. This box looked high-end, seamless from the outside.
The entire box resembled a well-polished, silver solid unit fitted with a handle. Finn had heard what it was, but he had never imagined it would be so small.
It wasn’t time to be surprised. Finn nodded, signifying Dunn Monty to take the item, and then speaking to Thomas Calvin, “You stay behind and greet Jasmine Davis. Accept all other goods here. Besides a few items, you can give the rest to her as my gift.”
“By the way, this…” Finn pointed towards Montgomery Tian and continued, “is the youngster who has been serving as our guide. I’m quite satisfied with him. So, I hope he stays safe here when I return. If I find out anything has happened to him, you know the consequences.”
“Consider it done, Your Highness, you can rest assured,” John responded decisively. The priority was to bid farewell to this migraine. They were willing to agree to anything. Looking after such a minor character was effortless for him and wouldn’t cause any difficulties. Besides, Finn had given him so much money today, so helping this youngster was no issue.
Finn nodded and headed outside without uttering any more words. He didn’t intentionally bid farewell to Montgomery Tian, as doing so might produce some counterproductive effects. A peaceful life was most needed for Montgomery Tian.
Finn left the building and reached the square in front of it in about ten minutes. Seeing a warship rapidly approaching from the atmosphere, it wasn’t too large but significantly newer compared to other shoddy warships scattered all around.
The design appeared sleek and extraordinarily eye-catching, and the ship sported a golden-red coating. There were four menacing gun ports on each side of the ship’s wings, flickering with a faint blue light, indicating that these cannons were consistently primed.
Obviously, the Supervision Bureau was alert about their location. They knew more about it than the outsiders. Except for Finn and Dunn, everyone, including Thomas Calvin, stayed behind. The ship didn’t land but hovered above them. Its hatch opened, and a blue beam descended. Finn felt weightless and started floating upwards rapidly.
“Your Highness, don’t worry. This is anti-gravity light. It can alter the field structure of the outside world and is very stable. There will be no problems,” Dunn explained.
This was indeed interesting. Like a balloon, they floated towards the ship at a moderate pace, slightly faster than an elevator ride. They were about a hundred meters from the ground when they safely entered the ship. Dunn, stepping aside with Finn, closed the hatch under their feet. The ship’s interior wasn’t vast but was somewhat larger than a plane.
“Your Highness,” all the crew inside the ship knelt down on one knee. “Um, you all can rise,” Finn awkwardly waved his hand. He hadn’t expected such a situation – them kneeling before him. Even from Dunn’s expressions, he could tell that even he was surprised.
“Yes, Your Highness, we will head directly to the flagship Nine-Sun Ship,” a young military officer in his thirties took the lead by standing up and saying.
“Alright, let’s go,” Finn nodded. The approach of the Supervision Bureau allowed him to relax, knowing they confirmed his identity and acted according to regulations. He was more concerned about the scenario where these people knew his identity but didn’t follow any rules.
Jasmine’s ship had to rest for a few hours after each jump, as it couldn’t make continuous jumps. Comparatively, Finn’s small warship directly jumped off the atmosphere, emphasising the fundamental difference in their ships. At the very least, their engine technologies were not on the same level.
After the ship’s jump ended, Finn was immediately attracted by the space warships. These warships were not condensed considering the vast space, but entering Death Star, Finn had already seen a variety of massive warships.
