Chapter 592: 586: Alien Power

Chapter 592: Chapter 586: Alien Power

I hope this isn’t poison. However, Finn Lewis quickly had no time to think about it because the two men started to walk towards him right after dealing with the bodies.

After a brief hesitation, Finn stepped out of the car. Once he exited the car, the men naturally saw him. At this face-to-face encounter, Finn finally had a clear sight at them. The lean figure was not a woman but a man. However, the man was extremely thin, to the point where Finn thought he could see his bones, a stark contrast to the other man.

Despite his thin frame, Finn could still sense a palpable strength from the man. Finn remained silent as the men came within two to three meters in front of him. It was evident that they were hesitant, but Finn had no idea why. As the distance between them shortened to less than two meters, the two men exchanged a glance, then directly kneeled before Finn.

“Pff” Finn had tried to anticipate every possible scenario but this one caught him by surprise. What the hell is this rhythm? Why did they kneel as soon as we met? Do I really have the aura of a protagonist, with wise folks from all corners of the world kneeling before me? Otherwise, what kind of rhythm is this?

Before Finn could even open his mouth to ask, the two men respectfully said, “Our respects to your Highness.”

While Finn recognized the term “Highness”, generally used by royalty in ancient feudal societies, he was confused. He wondered, how did I come to be referred to as “Highness”? His mind was in chaos.

“Wait, let’s clear one thing up. We’ve never met before, correct?” Finn waved his hand and asked.

“No.” The two men hesitated for a moment, then shook their heads.

“Good. So, given the weapons and equipment you have, I suppose you’re from an alien planet,” Finn asked with a hint of sarcasm.

“Yes, we are not earthlings.”

“Alright, if that’s the case, can you tell me how I came to be addressed as ‘your Highness’?” Finn quickly asked. From their use of ‘Highness’, he sensed some connections concerning the person who relentlessly pursued his life.

“Your Highness, perhaps you do not realize, but you are a member of the royal family of the Heritage System Federation. Even if you do not know this, it is a fact,” said the well-built man straight away.

“Wait a minute, I’m pretty sure I was born to my parents, who are ordinary earthlings. There’s no way I could be a member of the royal family of the Heritage System Federation. There must be some mistake,” refuted Finn. Although he would have liked to be royalty, he didn’t think it was possible. He had never left Earth, how could he be a part of the Heritage System Federation?

“Your Highness, you may not understand, but birth is not the most important thing. What matters the most is the life code. As long as your life code matches, you are indeed a member of the royal family of the Heritage System Federation. You can inherit the possessions that belong to you. According to the Federation law, the royal family possesses immense privileges,” quickly and respectfully explained the robust man.

“I am goddamn lost,” muttered Finn. Actually, he wanted to say he really didn’t understand, and wondered if they were just trying to mess with him.

“Fine, I understand every word you say, but when strung together, they make no sense. Can you tell me something? If what you say is true, how are you so sure that I am the ‘Highness’ you mentioned? If I am the ‘Highness’, then why am I being hunted?” Finn bluntly asked.

“This is not the place to talk. Does your Highness have a suitable location?”

“Yes, can you fly?” Finn turned to look at the two men and asked.

“We can manage short distances. Long distances are out of our ability.”

“Alright, let’s get you out of here then.”

As soon as he said that, the Red Storm, sitting dozens of meters behind Finn, deactivated its invisibility mode. The moment the Red Storm appeared, both men immediately performed a backflip away and adopted defensive stances.

“Don’t panic. It’s my mech,” Finn assured them nonchalantly. In doing so, he also demonstrated his strength, letting them know even if they hadn’t arrived, he could have handled the two assailants on his own.

Finn saw the astonishment in their eyes that he had been looking for but pretended not to see it. Instead, he continued, “Don’t resist, I’ll take you away.” He then went straight into the cockpit of the Red Storm. Once Finn was connected with the Red Storm, he grabbed the two men with each hand and stuffed them into the two auxiliary cockpits located in its chest.

After linking to the Red Storm’s control system, Finn couldn’t see the inside of his cockpit. At this point, his entire nervous system was connected to the Red Storm. It was as if his body had suddenly expanded, and he had become the Red Storm.

Naturally, he couldn’t see what was in his chest. Although he could look down to check it, he would be using the eyes of the Red Storm, not his own.

Though the twin auxiliary cockpits of Red Storm had little use other than transporting crew members in emergencies, they were large enough for the two men. After shoving them in, Finn piloted the Red Storm away from the ground, cloaked it, and ascended to the sky.

Naturally, Finn was headed towards the underground location of the Insect Species, but he certainly would not take the two men directly there. Instead, he chose a location near an underground river, took the two men out from the Red Storm, and came out himself.

The two auxiliary cabins had windows, so the men knew exactly where they were. However, they didn’t know how Finn came to know about this location.

“Alright, we can talk now.” Under the light of the Red Storm, Finn said nonchalantly.

“Your Highness, have you regained your power? It doesn’t seem likely,” tentatively asked the burly man.

“Of course not. I have no idea how I became the ‘Highness’ you mentioned. What I want to know is what you mean by ‘Highness’?” Finn asked lightly.
