Chapter 461 - 455: Ingenious Use
Chapter 461: Chapter 455: Ingenious Use
Finn Lewis was taken aback. How did Jack Lewis find out about yesterday’s incident today? No, he must have known about it yesterday. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have come over today. This was clearly something that had already been discussed internally. But Finn didn’t change his expression, he had anticipated this. It was simple, if Finn revealed that he was an employee of the Hustle Spot and the other party had no reaction, then they were not acting like an intelligence department would.
Or rather, they didn’t even need to reveal that Finn was working with the Hustle Spot, from how quickly Finn had risen, the intelligence department likely started investigating him already, right? Sending someone into Finn’s company wasn’t something unimaginable. Finn wasn’t angry. After all, these people wouldn’t be able to get the real information about him. If they did, both Olivia Thatcher and Zero would warn him.
“100%, I can say that with certainty,” Finn responded sincerely. “We built the simulation based on the real structure of Tidal City.”
“Including the inside? What about the underground?” Jack asked quickly.
Finn glanced at the far end behind Jack. They were surrounded in a circle by a group of people. Whenever someone tried to enter, they would politely hold them off.
“All the structures, even the underground drainage system. Of course, if it were some secret facilities, then I guess they wouldn’t be complete,” Finn replied. After a moment of thought, he did not hide anything. He now had the backing of the Hustle Spot. Given their displayed strength, both middle-aged men would believe him, wouldn’t they? Moreover, Finn was not bluffing!
Indeed, Finn didn’t know where Olivia Thatcher got all these data, but with her abilities, it was not hard to get such materials from libraries or other places. But these facilities’ blueprints were definitely not in the library materials. As for whether Olivia found them or not, that was unknown to Finn. Anyway, creating such a simulated city strived for authenticity, but being too authentic was also not good.
“Really?” Jack asked with a serious face.
“Of course, it’s true.” Finn answered, a bit speechless.
“Can other countries do this too?”
“Yes, they all can,” Finn nodded.
“Well then, as a gaming company, would you be interested in collaborating with us to develop a game? In partnership with the military.” Jack suddenly straightened up and asked.
Finn was taken aback and quickly understood Jack’s intention. “You mean, based on the real structures of these cities, you want to create a game? A war game? For soldiers to play?”
“Of course, a war game! You’re right, it’s for soldiers. Additionally, your game servers have a large capacity. You undoubtedly have unique technologies in this area. Can it be developed into an online game? Of course, solely for soldiers. How many soldiers can it accommodate online at most?” Jack asked seriously.
“In theory, we could accommodate all active service members. But telling me this now doesn’t do any good. I need to go back and discuss this with the technical team. And how should we charge for the construction of this? Do we charge like an online game? Or do you buy the rights outright? And what about operations? We certainly can’t hand that over to you. We would need to operate the servers, including updates to the maps, etc. These are all issues to consider,” Finn directly raised a series of questions.
Jack, on the other hand, was even more straightforward, shaking his head and saying, “This is not my department. I just came to confirm. The negotiations about the specific numbers will need to be discussed with the military. We don’t care how much it is, as long as it can meet your current level. The last question is, can your game rendering be as realistic as current games?”
“That won’t be a problem, game engines can be used interchangeably.” Finn nodded in agreement.
“Great, then you two can continue your date, I will make myself scarce.” Jack sported a rare smile, then stood up and left. As he did, Finn noticed that many people around them also began to disperse. Finn was rather annoyed. He thought, “How are we supposed to carry on here? Didn’t you see all the customers who were stopped pointing and whispering about us?”
“Let’s go. They probably came over because this matter is somewhat urgent. Let’s find another place,” Kay Lee chuckled and squeezed Finn’s hand before offering her suggestion.
“Alright, why don’t we go see a movie?” Finn suggested after some thought.
“Sure, let’s go,” Kay willingly agreed. Isn’t it said that no matter what you do, the key is who are you doing it with?
Luckily, even though everyone was pointing and gawking, Finn and Kay were well shielded. So, the two of them could safely leave KC Fast Food. There was a cinema not far from the KC Fast Food. However, before Finn and Kay could head in that direction, Finn’s phone rang. He took it out of his pocket to check it. It was a call from Mr. M.
Finn exhaled with some annoyance and grudgingly picked up the call. “Hello, Mr. M.”
“Director Lewis, the establishment of the Professional Game Alliance E-sports Player Union has been completed, and most of the major tournament games have basically ended. Can we start promoting our activity?” Mr. M asked.
This was not a minor issue. Finn thought for a moment, then replied, “We can start advertising. As for the new version of the Game Alliance, it’s ready. I’ll have someone deliver it directly to Fist Company.”
“Alright, that’s good. But about the final funding and other issues, are you sure we’re going with our previous agreement?” Mr. M asked again. It was still not too late to back out now, but once they started advertising, there would be no turning back.
“Just stick to the plan,” Finn nodded in affirmation.
“Alright, then I’ll go advertise.” Mr. M responded and hung up the phone.
“Sure, let’s get started. The update to the current version can happen next week. Or rather, there’s no need for an update. Let’s just have all the users upgrade to the new client,” Finn thought for a moment and then decided.
