"I'm not doing this Head of the Celestial Masters' Institution job anymore; whoever wants to can do it," Lin Shen dropped himself into the sofa, giving off an air of complete resignation.

"My little lover, don't you worry. How could I ever let you be troubled? I have already prepared the portion from Giant Ring Star for you," Tian Xun took out a detailed list and handed it to Lin Shen, wrapping her arms around his neck and whispered, "I can help you with the resources, including those from the Chi Family and An Family.

But you still have to handle it, and you can't just resolve it easily. This is your last resort—don't tread this path unless absolutely necessary."

"Tian Xun darling, you're just too good to me. How should I repay you?" Lin Shen understood Tian Xun's meaning.

If he directly handed these resources over, the Heavenly Emperor would realize he needed less, and there would still be room to plunder more; hence, he would only press Lin Shen harder in the future.

"Let's take a look at it first," Tian Xun leaned on Lin Shen's shoulder, looking at the bill details with him.

"By giving so much, won't others make things difficult for you?" Lin Shen asked further.

"What can I do? Since you are my dear little lover, it's always better for me to have difficulties than for you," Tian Xun said tenderly, circling Lin Shen's neck with her arms.

"It's hardest to accept the grace of a beauty; Tian Xun darling, I can't even begin to repay you." Lin Shen really didn't know what to say; he felt that even selling himself wouldn't amount to as much money.

"Do you mean to offer yourself to me?" Tian Xun blinked slyly.

"No, no, no..." Lin Shen quickly shook his head. Even selling himself wouldn't equate to that much money.

"So you're saying you don't want to be with me? I thought you were already mine. Looks like I was being presumptuous," Tian Xun lowered her head, seemingly greatly disappointed.

"That's not what I meant..." Lin Shen hurriedly tried to explain, wanting to say something.

But before he could finish, his lips were gently pressed shut by Tian Xun's delicate fingers. Her eyes seemed to ensnare him, sending Lin Shen's heart fluttering like a hooked fish.

"My little lover, remember this," women lower their heads not for you to console them, but to show you that they've given up resisting... My king... you can now enjoy the fruits of victory..."

Looking at Tian Xun's exquisite face and her bewitching eyes, and listening to her seductive words, the fiery youth in Lin Shen's heart could no longer be held back.

"The heavy responsibility of branching out and multiplying has finally taken its first step, but I wonder if my family can accept a mixed-blood baby?" Lin Shen thought to himself.

"My little lover, rest well. I have something to attend to and will leave first. I'll be back later." As if sensing Lin Shen stirring, the device next to him automatically switched on, projecting Tian Xun's holographic image.

Gazing at those slender legs in the holographic image, Lin Shen couldn't help but sigh from the bottom of his heart again, "Those legs are to die for."

Picking up the account balance sheet, Lin Shen read through it carefully once more. With so many resources, if Tian Xun was going to shoulder the costs in the future, wouldn't he really become a kept man?

Besides, this wasn't a sustainable solution. He still needed to find a way to make both the An Family and Chi Family cough up money.

It clearly wasn't an easy task. Lin Shen furrowed his brows in deep thought, unsure of what he was pondering.

After sleeping a bit more, Lin Shen headed to the dining room to grab some food when daylight broke, only to find Tian Xin there as well.

"Why are you still here?" Lin Shen had assumed Tian Xin had returned home and was surprised to find her still at Giant Ring Star.

"Hmph, you're not even the man of the house here yet, it's not your place to tell me what to do." Tian Xin didn't even lift her head as she carefully fed a Steel Poison Bee pet with a little soup spoon.

Lin Shen caught sight of the Steel Poison Bee, and momentarily froze, recalling the origin of this bee.

If his guess was right, this Steel Poison Bee must have been placed in the treasure chest after he took the items from it.

Lin Shen had believed that, upon hatching it, Tian Xin would be livid to find it was just a Steel Poison Bee.

Yet, by the looks of it, Tian Xin seemed to cherish the Steel Poison Bee as if it were a treasure, which puzzled Lin Shen.

"Why did you get such a rubbish pet?" asked Lin Shen as he sat down at the dining table, remarking as if offhandedly.

"Rubbish pet? You know nothing. Ever heard of 'returning to simplicity'? Know what 'defying destiny' means?" Tian Xin protected the Steel Poison Bee in her hands, snorting coldly, "Today you look down on it, but in the future, you won't even be worthy of it."

"Is this pet really that good? I can't see it. It looks like a standard Steel Level pet to me." While Lin Shen spoke dismissively, he was secretly puzzled, "What's going on? Could it be that the Steel Poison Bee I put in there has some special quality? That Tian Xin, with her fool's luck, stumbled upon a gem?"

On second thought, Lin Shen found it unlikely. Even if it were a mutated bee, it would still just be a Steel Level Mutated Pet. For Ascenders, cultivating such a mutated pet wasn't as worthy as getting a Mutated Ascension Pet directly.

"I'm not afraid to tell you the truth. This poison bee pet is the treasure I obtained from Realm King's treasure chest. Do you think the Realm King would place an ordinary Steel pet in his treasure chest? This is merely its facade, to prevent others from recognizing its marvel before it matures.

'The outstanding tree draws the wind.' It's a form of camouflage, a form of protection, and once it grows up, it will undoubtedly be a unique super pet in the universe…" Tian Xin spoke with brimming confidence.

Stunned, Lin Shen was speechless for a long while before finally giving a thumbs up and saying, "I wish you early success in raising a super pet."
