Chapter 201: Tyranosaurus
Chapter 201: Tyranosaurus
Night time, a few hours later after the human survivors had already eliminated most of the zombie horde, while some escaped, especially the mutated ones.
The human side had suffered a casualty of over one hundred deaths, and it would've gone worse if it wasn't for Leo's help, and the things that helped the most are the firearms he had provided to them.
They started cleaning up the bodies(zombies) by burning them, and the humans who passed away were buried, as their remaining families mourned for them.
Everyone was already used to this sight, most of them are already even numbed to it, as they knew how fragile human life is in this apocalyptic era. They were just grateful that they managed to survive this difficult event.
Leo is standing on top of a building, as he watched the people below on the ground, slowly burning the bodies as they piled them up together.
"Tho zombies here are actually far weaker than those from back home. It seems clearing out the entire Northern Luzon wouldn't be a problem" Leo said to himself.
"It seems I would need to bring soldiers here if I have the chance. Haist~ If only we have a ship that could set sail in the sea without getting threatened from the mutated aquatic animals of the sea" Leo sighed, as he remembered seeing a two hundred foot long great white shark and many more dangerous aquatic beast. He wouldn't even be surprised if he sees a three hundred meters long whale traversing the seas.
"Tsk, this is a problem. I wonder if these guys would want to work with me?" Leo thought, then he took out something from his [Inventory].
It was the [Portal Stone] that only had one usage left.
"It seems I'd need to use this if they don't want to join me" Leo sighed, as he knows how expensive this freaking thing is! Five hundred thousand Defender Coins a piece!
But Leo suddenly grinned, "It would be impossible if they don't join me. They already saw how powerful I am"
"So you were here all along" a voice suddenly sounded from behind him.
Leo wasn't surprised as he already knew that someone had just come up to where he is.
"What is it?" Leo asked without looking back.
Martha walked over and stood beside him, "Thank you for helping us. All of us knew that we probably wouldn't survive the fight earlier with how less our numbers are and having insufficient weapons. Your sudden appearance here was really timely, and the help that you've given is not something we could easily repay. So if you want something, then don't mind and make sure to tell us"
She said seductively as she bent her forward and deliberately showed her cleavage towards Leo.
Leo just glance at it, but didn't do anything. It's not like he didn't have enough breast to play with back at home, and there are even two pairs of them!
Martha just smiled but her face clearly showed disappointment, so she just turned around and started walking away, but then she suddenly stopped and said, "Right, if you bump into Kurt. Be careful"
Leo raised an eyebrow and replied, "What about him?" he thought that the guy must have an evil ulterior motive if Martha is giving him a warning.
Then Martha chuckled, "It's because he's gay! So be careful babe! Bye!"
"What!?" Leo immediately turned but Martha had already went down the stairs.
"He's gay?" Leo murmured as he didn't expect that manly dude to be like that, but then he just chuckled as he doesn't swing that way, and he's not really one to judge another person's character and personality.
And it's not like the person has a bad character, but sadly for the guy, his camp got destroyed during the zombie siege, and the only fortunate thing for him is that the survivors living in his camp had already begun their evacuation far earlier, even before the horde managed to cross the river.
Now, they are residing at Martha's Camp, resulting in there being only two survivor camps left in the city.
On the other hand, John had also lost some men, but not a lot, only around seven people died from his side. Mostly, because they are far more experienced in fighting the zombies than two camps combined, but mostly thanks to that they have more mutated humans on their side to look after them.
"So how do I approach this matter to them? It would've been easier if they were tyrants like the others I've met before, then I would've just need to kill them and everything would have been settled easily like that. But they're not, they're similar to those few camp leaders back at UK who treats the survivors under their wings well" Leo muttered in helplessness as he really didn't want to have any conflict if he brought this matter to them and they refused him in the end.
"Much less now that they're still rebuilding themselves from this" Leo held his chin while rubbing it with his fingers.
"It seems I need to put this matter at the back for now. I'll see if there are other survivor groups that managed to survive and rebuilt themselves by making camps or shelters of their own" Leo continued to mumble by himself.
"Then I would depart from here in two days" Leo decided to leave this place in two days because he wanted to see if he could offer them a bit of support, and at the same time, he plans to give them the firearms that was handed back to him.
After all, those weapons would really helped this group of survivors a lot in their security, even though they would probably only be used by the leaders most trusted men or subordinates.
Leo turned his attention to the other side, where he saw some people cooking some porridge on big pots as a celebration for repelling the zombie horde and surviving the whole ordeal.
Leo leapt down from the building, and went over to help with the cooking, and he was being conspicuous because he was the only foreigner around, that a lot of women are approaching him in a very flirty way, while some are sending him obvious glances, and the last ones are those who doesn't even care.
It was already late in the night when they started their party, and because there weren't a lot of zombies for the time being and with the lack of presence of mutated beast here, a lot of the survivors got drunk but those sensible enough only drunk enough, like John and the others.
During those two days that he stayed there, nothing much of importance happened, and the only exception probably would have been when Leo went over to check a group of mutated beast living at one part of the river.
Leo is able to determine them through their colors shown on the [Map]. Green life signals are for those part of Leo's group, the surviving humans living in one of his camps or bases. Blue are for those friendly humans, but if they're hostiles then they would be labeled as red, similar to the zombies, and lastly, the mutated beast are marked in an orange color.
Everyone would be marked as red the moment they show hostile intentions towards Leo, no matter if they were blue, green or whatnot before.
And so Leo went and checked these group of at least fifty mutated beasts, because one of them really stood out on the [Map] among the rest, and it was as big as the life signal of a Tanker Zombie, around one centimeter in diameter.
The beast was a huge turtle mutated beast, and it mutated from a simple pond turtle and it towers over two meters tall and with a length similar to its height, with a width of over one meter.
Its appearance is a combination between a normal turtle and the Ankylosaurus. It's head is like the Pokemon Torterra, the side of its shells are filled with bony spikes, and the top of its shell are filled with armor like plates, including its four legs, and most of all, there's an almost round club filled with spikes at the end of its tail.
And the beast was called [Tyranosaurus].
Leo was fascinated about it, the moment his eyes laid on the beast and so...
He beat it up.
Tamed it until it became obedient.
And then it became his pet turtle.
