SpiderGwen: I have a system?!

Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Confronting Weiss

Chapter 111: Confronting Weiss

[3rd POV]

With the class over, the group got up and walked out, walking to their next class, only to stop when they heard Weiss speaking, silently standing as they began to listen in, Gwen most of all.

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you! You're supposed to be a leader, and all you've been so far is a nuisance" Weiss spoke to Ruby with a scoff, as the girl looked to her in exasperation.

"What did I do?!" Ruby asked, confused.

"That's just it! You've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest you acted like a child! And you've only continued to do so!" Weiss yelled, glaring fiercely at Ruby who flinched back at the glare.

"Weiss, where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about working together, I thought you believed in acting as a team" Ruby replied, looking more meek, as Weiss glared even fiercer at her.

"Not a team led by you. I've studied and trained, and quite frankly, I deserve better. Ozpin made a mistake" Weiss said, before she began to walk away, only to stop when a voice spoke

out.

"You talk about Ruby acting like a child, but that is exactly what you are acting like right now" Gwen's voice cut in, causing Weiss to stop and turn around, looking at the girl that had decimated an entire army on her own, a girl that was unmistakably the strongest person she had ever met.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"What? How am I acting like a child?!" Weiss yelled in response, which Gwen just deadpanned at, the girls having walked off to get to the next class, understanding that this wasn't something a large group should be privy to.

"Well for one, you're yelling like one. If you wish for someone to take you seriously, then yelling is not one of the ways to do it, Weiss" Gwen replied, still deadpanning as she stared at the girl whose face was red in anger.

"You! Do you even know who I-" "You're Weiss Schnee, correct? You're also acting like a brat right now, not only insulting Ruby and being rude to her, but also yelling at me for just saying it how I see it" Gwen cut her off, rolling her eyes at the girl that was acting...annoying.

"You're talking about Ruby and her acting like a child, and yet here you are whining about it not going your way, quite literally showing why you are not cut out to be a leader. Being a leader is more than just studying and training, Weiss, and you do not have the other qualities that make a proper leader" Gwen continued, as it was true, the girl was not cut out to be a leader, not right now at least.

Ruby on the other hand, had a lot of potential to be a great leader, and had the charismatic personality needed to be a proper one. She should know, she's been a leader of Kingdoms and Empires many many times over, many of them being much larger and stronger than anything in Remnant.

"Ozpin chose her as the leader of your team for a reason, Weiss, and I think it's best if you start realizing that not everything has to go your way, and you don't have to continue acting like a perfect heiress like your father wants of you" Gwen continued, knowing that Weiss deep down, was not truly like this.

Her father, Jacques, was a...horrible man. He was emotionally (and most probably physically) abusive to Weiss, her mother, and her siblings. He was also a cutthroat and ruthless man who cared for nothing but his public image, growing "his" company, and growing his wealth.

He was also the main reason the Schnee's were not liked by Faunus, as he was the one that brought forth the idea of using them in their mines as what was basically slave labor. This also naturally meant that the man was notoriously racist, sexist, and more than likely homophobic.

Basically...scum of Earth, or Remnant. One of the worst on the planet at that, very few overcoming him in terms of awful deeds. The ones that did overcome him, tended to be rapists, people like scientists who conduct human experiments, and some other horrible stuff, but that was like...5-10 other people.

Weiss faulted at the mention of her father, as he was a sore subject, and more than that...he wasn't someone she could just ignore. He controlled her life more than her sister or brothers, for she was the heiress, and she HAD to be the best, and HAD to make him and the Schnee family look good. While her mother was a drunk wallowing more in self pity at the situation her family was in, more than anything.

"Just think about it, okay Weiss?" Gwen said, looking at the girl with soft eyes, not really blaming her too much for this situation, and if the look in Ruby's eyes were any indicator, she felt the same, as she realized that Weiss's father must be the reason Weiss was reacting so strongly to her being the leader.

Gwen gave the girl one more small smile before walking off to her next class, Ruby looking between the two awkwardly before following after Gwen, leaving Weiss all alone, as she began to contemplate her recent attitude, and the way she has been acting towards Ruby.

Later in the day, after a couple more classes that were...kind of useless, Gwen was in her room, sitting as she read a few books she found in the Beacon library, sipping on some tea as she read. The girls were all out doing some team training exercise thing they had been told to try out in one class, leaving her alone.

The book she was reading on the dust of this universe, as while it wasn't too impressive compared to a lot of what she knew, it would be useful in some future worlds, and could be a substitute for plenty of other minerals that she couldn't create at the moment.

The books were...definitely inaccurate, and seemed to be entirely theory based in nature, as no one knew how the dust was formed and what it actually was. Well, except Gwen, who knew that it was most likely a physical form of magic in a mineral form. And while this doesn't sound to powerful in a world like this one...if Gwen could figure out how to replicate it, she could use her magic to create some truly insanely powerful dust that is strong enough to power literal countries with a singular small piece of it.

That was Gwen's theory, at least.

Hearing her door open, Gwen didn't bother looking up, as she sensed who it was in front of

her, as she spoke.
