Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 457 456: Pressure

457  456: Pressure

"You must be a fool right?"

As Pamela's words reverberated in the ears of Corey and the Dreadkeeper, a stunned expression could be seen on the Dreadkeeper's face and even Corey's face.

The Dreadkeeper could not believe that somebody who was at a lower level than him would say such words to him.

Although he knew that Pamela was a talented tier 4 due to her ability to teleport, however, was he not also a talented Dreadkeeper?

Should he cower just because he was cautious of Pamela's talent?

If he did such a thing then where was his pride as a Dreadkeeper who was similar to a Tier 5? And where was his pride as a talented Dreadkeeper?

The Dreadkeeper was not the only person who was shocked by Pamela's words, Corey was also surprised by her words.

He never knew that Pamela had a vicious tongue, and he even felt like she had gone overboard with her words.

Without caring about the thoughts and expressions of both Corey and the Dreadkeeper, Pamela continued speaking. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Tell me, if you're not a fool, then why would you say such words?"

Pamela's smile morphed into one of mockery and disdain, and then she continued.

"You know very well that Genesis Armaments are priceless, and this Genesis Armament over here is beyond priceless, but you still have the audacity to say you want to buy it?"

"Get your ass out of your head!"

Pamela shouted, taking the Dreadkeeper and even Corey by surprise. The Dreadkeeper had a stunned and baffled expression as he stared at Pamela.

Out of all the reactions and responses he anticipated, this was not one of it, and for a few seconds, he stood rooted on the spot without responding.

Pamela scoffed, and then she turned away while speaking.

"Only Ascendants have the right to bargain for his Genesis Armament, and we both know that the price they'll pay would be unfathomable."

"I hate those who cheat and take advantage of ignorant people."

'Who said I was ignorant?' Corey's lips twitched.

Meanwhile, the Dreadkeeper's expression finally changed, and a tinge of anger could be seen in his gaze. He had finally had enough of Pamela and her words.

He took two steps forward, and moved his right hand, fully intending to grab Pamela's shoulder and inflict a bit of pain.

"Who do you-?"

Just as he was about to touch Pamela's shoulder, his hair stood on end, his eyes widened to the limit, and his instincts screamed at him.

BOOM!

A massive pressure descended on the Dreadkeeper, and he was instantly forced to his knees.

Cough!

The Dreadkeeper coughed out a mouthful of blood, and he groaned in pain.

He gritted his teeth and instinctively tried to get up. The veins on his neck, head, and arms could be seen, and a few seconds later, he slowly got up.

However, just when it seemed like he was going to get up, a scoff resounded in his ears.

"What willpower and determination. It's so admirable that I might actually clap for you."

The Dreadkeeper slowly turned his head toward Pamela with immense difficulty, and the rage and horror in his eyes could be seen.

Pamela showed a dark smile seeing the rage and horror in the Dreadkeeper's eyes.

"Next time, don't you dare try to touch me without my permission."

Pamela said, and the pressure on the Dreadkeeper increased by more than three times. The Dreadkeeper coughed out another mouthful of blood, and he fell on his chest with his head facing the ground.

Despite all of this, the Dreadkeeper still retained his consciousness and he gritted his teeth so hard that the sounds made as a result could be heard with ease.

The Dreadkeeper's eyes slowly turned red, and his expression slowly morphed into one of madness.

Corey saw this, and he shook his head slightly.

'He's about to lose control.'

Corey thought, and then he looked at Pamela. He saw her having a calm expression and he furrowed his brows.

Although he had no idea why Pamela was behaving the way she currently behaving, he knew that he needed to stop her.

'She said that she hates cheats and those who try to take advantage of ignorant people, but aren't her actions too exaggerated?'

Corey thought, and then he spoke calmly.

"It's okay Pamela… I want to know what he plans on exchanging for my Genesis Armament."

Corey paused, and then he looked at the Dreadkeeper who looked like he was on the verge on losing control but was also trying to restrain himself at the same time.

Pamela furrowed her brows for a few seconds before shrugging. The instant she shrugged, the pressure on the Dreadkeeper vanished.

It took a while for the Dreadkeeper to slowly come back to his senses, and when he did, he sat on the ground with sweat dripping down his face and blood pouring down his nose.

'What she used on the Dreadkeeper was not a gravity related skill but the release and manipulation of her mana… Basically, she just poured out so much mana on the Dreadkeeper to increase the weight on him.'

'I'm sure he must have felt like he was carrying a massive mountain or the whole world on his back.'

'But…'

Corey shifted his gaze from the Dreadkeeper to Pamela, and he glanced at her right arm. He saw it tremble for a moment, but then it stopped.

'... I'm sure that manipulating that much mana must have put her body and mind under a lot of strain regardless of her race as an Arcane Human.'

Although Corey knew that Pamela had a powerful physique, he was certain that it could not compare to that of a Paragon.

As for her mind, unless she had a unique mind like he did, then he was certain that controlling that much mana must have strained her mind even if it was just by a small amount.

Corey shifted his gaze back to the Dreadkeeper.

'Also… if she ever tries to do the same thing to me in the future, she'll only be wasting her energy… I can easily counter it.'

After having this thought, he took a step closer to the Dreadkeeper.

"Now talk… What do you plan on exchanging for my Genesis Armament?"
