Chapter 123 - Waiter, Give Us a Serving of Pig Head

Chapter 123: Waiter, Give Us a Serving of Pig Head

If they didn’t react because they didn’t know of the Gao Clan’s Chamber of Commerce or have never heard of it then that would be fine. But, the members of the opposing party weren’t so calm because they didn’t know. This meant there was only one possibility—the name of the Gao Clan’s Chamber of Commerce wasn’t something that was capable of bothering them. One of the maidens even wore an expression of indifference and mockery. The guards were lamenting secretly in their hearts, trying to figure out the identities of the people in the opposing party. But, as much as they cracked their heads, they still couldn’t figure out who they were.

“How should we handle this, master?” Although the fifth princess wished to have a good time, she knew that if she overdid things, her master would put the blame on her and that would be a terrible thing indeed. Therefore, she still opened her mouth to consult her master’s opinion before taking any action.

“Pig head. Pig trotter,” said Ling Chuxi as she picked up her chopsticks and slowly pointed them at Gao Rongrong’s head and hands with a deadpan face.

“Got it!” exclaimed the fifth princess as she happily leapt up and out of her seat. Finally, she could test out the new medicinal powder her master had taught her to make!

Gao Rongrong clealy didn’t understand the meaning behind Ling Chuxi’s words. But, she soon did. With a wave of her hand, the fifth princess created a flash of silver light in the air. A few silver needles rushed fiercely towards Gao Rongrong’s face and hands. Naturally, this was also taught to the fifth princess by Ling Chuxi. It’s just that her control wasn’t quite there yet. Though she could not deploy as many needles and her accuracy wasn’t of such a high standard yet, her attack was sufficient as she had done so from such a close distance to Gao Rongrong.

Gao Rongrong was so shocked that she just stood there stupidly without moving. However, the guards behind her sprang into action. Two guards drew their swords and managed to deflect a few of the silver needles. Little did they know that this attack was just a distraction. After they had deflected the needles, a cloud of powder burst into Gao Rongrong’s face. This time, the motion of the attack didn’t feel as fierce. As Gao Rongrong had also regained her senses, she immediately used her hands to shield her face.

The powder ended up covering her entire face and her hands too. Gao Rongrong let out a yelp of surprise. Her guards were as surprised as she was. Poison! The opposing party had actually dared to poison their miss so openly.

“Miss, are you all right?” asked the guards anxiously even as their hearts sank.

“Huh? Wha—huh?” Gao Rongrong was stunned. She moved her hands about in a lost manner and realized she didn’t feel any pain nor itchiness. It was as though nothing had happened. “I’m fine,” she said in response to her guards before she turned and barked at the fifth princess and the rest of the group, “Are you sick in the head? You actually dare throw flour at me?!”

Flour? Would the opposing party be so silly as to throw flour? The guards didn’t feel that would be the case. Indeed, they found out what the problem was the very next moment.

Although Gao Rongrong didn’t feel any pain nor itchiness, the spots of her body that came into contact with the powder, such as her face and her hands, had begun to swell up at such a speed that it was clear to anyone looking that something was wrong! The guards watched this scene unfold in horror with their eyes wide and tongues tied. However, Gao Rongrong still hadn’t noticed anything amiss because she felt nothing out of the ordinary. Thus, she kept shouting loudly in a rage.

“Youth pweecefs wrof cabbagge... Eh, myyfft voiffe...” Gao Rongrong finally realized something was wrong as her shouts became muffled. ‘Why is it so hard to speak? Even breathing is difficult.’ (Translation: You pieces of garbage... Eh, my voice...)

“Waiter, give us two pig trotters and a serving of pig head,” shouted the fifth princess to the waiter outside their dining room door. The waiter poked his head into the room and hesitated for a bit, but finally entered the room trembling.

“Your Highness, Fifth Princess. May I ask if you’d like your order of pig head to be braised or cold mixed? And would you like your orders of pig trotters braised or stewed?” asked the waiter with an expression that made it look as though he was crying. It was incredibly dangerous to draw swords in the building. Earlier on when the nouveau riche maiden had walked into the dining room with an unfriendly face, the waiter had felt a little glee at the misfortune awaiting her. She didn’t choose to provoke just anyone, she actually chose to provoke the fifth princess. Only the waiters knew the fifth princess’ identity and could identify her within the walls of Bao Qing Restaurant. Others were unaware and the fifth princess seemed intent on keeping it that way. However, she did use the status of her identity to get them to prepare a quiet private room and to serve good food quickly. They never could understand what was going on in the fifth princess’ head. Right now, the waiter felt even more lost than ever before. Why did the fifth princess suddenly place orders for pig trotters and pig head?

Meanwhile, Gao Rongrong and all her guards were stupefied upon hearing the waiter’s words.

Her Highness the Fifth Princess?!
