Chapter 93: The Sinners Downfall [3]

After their journey has taken a few turns for the worse, not only of the member's tight-lipped act they had another situation where they have a little trouble finding the exit of the first floor onto the next. Within their darkest hour unable to find the entrance Morris stumbled upon one of his readers, brutally injured to the point where only a fool would think his conditions were fine. Anxious and traumatized by the acts of his superiors he never felt any sympathy for their sudden deaths, he was even glad and sneak a smile in there final hours of their lives

"Right this way, the entrance that leads to the 2nd floor is at this corner, there are 5 floors the 1st to 3rd floors are for the members. The 4th floor is the place that houses the elites, the members that have greatly contributed to the guild even accompanying the Guild lead and Vice guild leader on their expedition. And the 5th floor is the place where the Guild Leader or more known for his nickname Alpha, along with his most trusted ally the Vice Guild Leader. Im warning you that each floor contains a guardian if we wish to go any higher we need to kill them and obtain their Authority," Zeke activates a hidden mechanism that shows the entrance to a dark corridor where they met with a few stairs that would stretch through the skies

[Are you sure about your decision? Even if we can use him as our guide to reach the highest levels of the distorted space. Do you think he's a person worthy of your trust without anything for us to use if he would try and betray us]

'There's a difference between being paranoid and just downright skeptical about a person, plus do you think he's going to betray us when he didn't even flinch when I killed his comrades? The little bastard even sneaked in a villainous smile which I interpret as "You shitty pieces of shit, serves you right for mistreating me I don't give a fuck about what happens to you," that smile has that sort of vibe when I saw him, really spells out that he has a grudge against them,'

[I guess you're right, I'll head out for a while, im going to do that request of yours since I earned my share of laughs along with this entertaining show you always make]

[System: The Forgotten Sage has logged out, the player has now disabled broadcasting mode it will be available after 10 hours had passed]

'Looks like I'll get that thing earlier than I expected, apart from what I told Sage is that I left the part that he's my reader. This guy has the same problem that I face before so I know how to handle him properly, aside from that I wonder if the guardian he has spoken of is strong or not. I haven't had the chance to use the Skill I acquired from accepting Zeus's proposal,'

"Hey, Christ are we going to kill him after he has no use?" Lillith whispered in his ear while the four of them are making their way up the stairs that would lead to the next level along with their unavoidable encounter with the guardian

"I thought about it, and I think that I'll make him a new member of Enigma after I healed his wounds with my Skill along with the help of some potions. I found out that he's been labeled as a piece of trash within their ranks, you might be wondering why I want someone like him on our team. Let's just say that his quirky, like you and everyone else in Enigma, you guys have something that you are gifted with some sort of talent,"

"If I were to say, aren't you amassing a ton of players to join your Private Mercenary group and I thought that you would like to keep your numbers limited?"

"Airis where did you learn about that information?" Morris was started by the information she recently uttered in front of him, a piece of information that would be disastrous if the word was leaked to the Guild

"Oh, It's nothing I just had a chat with my men that was running a full sweep of Grequil for any kind of mark that was left by Spell thief. Recently they reported that you were known to be a clerk at a run-down shop called Felgir's Weaponry And Equipment For Newbies. And they happened to sell a few of your information when I gave him 25% of my life savings. He was too generous not only did he give me a documentary about your behaviors and such I even snagged your clothes that we're repaired that has some of your scent and this was given to me as a freebie,"

Airis takes off a part of her clothes to show him his worn-out hoodie that was stitched back in place. His face was filled with anger that slowly was foreseeable in his facade the fact that his identity, information, and his clothes were sold. The identity of his that he wholeheartedly tried to hide, the information about his whereabouts was at the hands of Airis's men, and the clothes that were said to be damaged beyond repair were being worn by the most dangerous person he had encountered

'Ugh, I fucking forgot that guy is the same as Naze, little greedy bastard don't tell me he had that hoodie as a means of a material to track me down if I betrayed him. Now he used that shit as a freebie to sell my information, God I want to land a few punches in his face, I hope that I got something good for compensation. If im not too careful at handling Airis I might as well turn her into a yandere,'

He didn't reply to her and simply smile and continued their match to the entrance to the 2nd floor where they met a Giant troll that was holding a hammer to his right. Zeke was shocked when he saw what seemed to be a myth a monster that guards the entrance to the higher floors, but what surprises him the most was that in the circle etched in Morris's chest. Lies a pair of cats that free to the size of a leopard once they've gained enough space for them to transform, the rumors that were circulating through their communicators. Speaking about the arrival of a Magical Beast that resembles a leopard was making their way to engage the Giant troll

"Christ, hold on, what why aren't we going?" Lillith was stopped by a single pull in her arm that was enough for her bones to be twisted if she wasn't mutated into a Chimera

"Little missy, aren't you a little bit worried about Christ? Aren't you forgetting that he's a player comparable to a Guild leader, something like this isn't even a problem. But the fact that his not attacking the monster instead is controlling the movement of his Familiars, just give him a few minutes. He's just trying to improve his Mastery, why not join me for dinner? The two of you need to maintain your strength, especially you what's your name again Zeke or something like that, eat as much as possible you're too skinny for your age," Airis placed a blanket that she acquired from her inventory along with bringing out a few of her emergency rations

With his Familiars taking the lead he rushed to the Giant troll Moon was running to the right while Sun was running on the left, Morris stationed himself at a location where he can see the whole battle from afar

Manipulating the rocks around him chasing their temperature down to their shape and structures the surrounding stones have changed into a block of Ice where he placed his unconscious body and slowly focused his target of possession on one of his Familiars

The process of possession required his body to be completely untouched for his soul to have a place to return to after he was done, inside the frozen igloo he created. He slowly tries to access the chains that bonded him with his Familiars the soul contract that forbids his Familiars from dying by placing their true forms within their Owners

While they project a perfect copy of their body to the outside world he was trying to connect to their bodies. A process that was completely different when he was borrowing his Familiar's eyes, ears, or mouth but a way to temporarily linked his body

[System: You've successfully made a connection to the soul of your Familiar, the connection has been forcefully created by the player Christoper Morris. The estimated time is 4 minutes, after the timer has reached 0 you'll be ejected]

[System: You're now able to use the newly created Familiar exclusive skill Familiar link, a Skill that won't use one of your Skill slots. As long as you're within the range of your Familiar you can protect your soul within their body, do note that this process causes your body to be unconscious leaving you vulnerable to any sort of attacks]

[System: You can now pick a body to possess, the current option is either Familiar Moon or Familiar Sun]

"Moon, im gonna borrow your body for a second, Sun once I possess his body I'll send you the plans in our telepathic link," Morris contacted his Familiars and discussed his plans before they make their next move

[System: You've chosen Familiar Moon as the target of the skill Familiar link, your body will now possess the body of your Familiar. Due to forcefully creating the connection between your soul and your Familiar your possession will be reduced to a duration of 4 minutes]

Morris entered the body of his Familiar along with his newly gained hearing, heightened senses, and his body structure that made his possession take a turn for the worse. He didn't have any sort of practice making his Familiar control its feet while he gives out the orders for the body's movement, with a few problems with his newly formed bond he continues with his plan. With his soul piloting the body of his Familiar he charges against the Giant troll that swings its Hammer which he dodges in the nick of time by jumping through the air before its Hammer collided with the ground

[System: The Familiar, Moon has activated the skill Backslash, enhancing the Familiars next attack while hitting the Back of ah opponent will ignore 40% of its defense]

He ran through the troll's arms while he continuously dodges its arm that was targeting him until he could no longer dodge giving the signal for Sun to make her debut. She jumps into the air and activated Attraction which led the troll's arm to attack her without any way to shake her crowd control, which she combined with Deflection, reflecting the damage she had taken from the palm of the troll. Whilst the two leap through the air and used the momentum they built from their fall and swing Moon's claws that tore the trolls back until it spews a ton of blood

[System: The Guardian that protects the 2nd floor has been defeated, you've obtain the Authority of the Guardian you can now enter the 2nd floor]
