Chapter 75: The Hunt Begins [1]

Chapter 75: The Hunt Begins [1]

I thought that I'll take the rest of the Hiatus decree and read a book, that would've been a better what am I doing exactly? Simply put that I'm chasing after my readers along with the characters within this trial. I only said the trials are halted it doesn't affect the characters and so a brand new adventure unfolds

"Ms. Esther's conditions have been stabilized. I arrived along with the shots that you requested," Blake entered the room after Esther had finally fallen into a deep sleep with the toxins they placed in Morris's body that prevented her from suffering an unbearable that comes with her medicine

"Aaaaaaghhhhh," Esther cried out after her medicine had taken its effect she could feel her bones being crushed and restored right after they were broken apart she tried to escape yet was stopped by Morris when he chained her down and placed the remaining anesthetics inside her body which alleviates her pain

[She was injured, right? That didn't look like an injured person to me she was swinging her arms and legs that could have knocked down a person]

"Thanks for the help Blake, now that we're outside our patient's room, mind telling me what you want?"

"I don't know what you mean by that I'm just glad that I can be of service to our team,"

"Spare me the bullshit, even a Saint has ulterior motives they won't randomly help anyone in the blink of an eye. Tell me what you seek you know that I'm not someone that likes their precious time to be wasted,"

Before he could take another step to reach the door he was stopped by an anxious voice along with the Aura of a deity that was growing stronger by the second until it possessed Blake's body giving it the same state as his first encounter with The Mad Alchemist

'Possession? I haven't seen this gimmick for a long time, if it's the deity that's showing itself could only have two things It's either one the request will be difficult as hell, and the rewards won't be that great. or two they are the deities that took a liking to their chosen player and wish to bestow upon them their skills or blessings to aid them in their rigorous journey,'

"Much appreciated Blake for letting me borrow your body, it's nice that the two of us can finally have a chat. I am Alexis Ferio I stand here before you to humbly ask for your Avatar's assistance,"

"Hey, do you think he's misunderstanding our contract?"

[I have no problem whatsoever heck we might obtain one of his precious skills as long as we keep maintaining this misunderstanding]

'Contracts are the thing that binds a player to a deity depending on the type you choose the things that you'll receive will differ. There's the Singularity they are the Avatars that doesn't take a quest or skills given to them by a third party yet they have the highest level of growth. Possession is the contract that makes the player call upon their deity to momentarily possess their players to escape from death. lastly, we have a Mutual contract where each side doesn't ask the other side for anything in return the greatest thing about this contract is that you can receive a lot of skills along with a variety of blessings,'

"What kind of assistance do you require?" Morris pulled out one of the chairs that were placed below a table and remained silent before he hears an explanation

"Recently, there's been a lot of talks about a ton of people dying without any sort of explanations that can accurately reflect their cause of death. Collapse, sudden loss of breath, heart attack, all of this death are a little bit common but the fact that it happened to 100 or more sounds rather foolish to be called a coincidence doesn't that sound a little bizarre?" Alexis placed a ton of papers that recorded a ton of player's causes of death that were related to his suspicion which intrigued Morris with a hint of malice after he browse through several documents he prepared

[What's wrong with you, you're acting a little furious with strange compared to your usual self?]

'Are you fucking kidding me? They're trying to lower the number of players on the trials, aside from the selected few that were able to acquire the mercenary role most of their targets appear to be commissioners. If this keeps up another anomaly may occur the reason why Persevis and Airis's mercenary group was able to participate was the fact that they were one of the chosen few that we're lucky enough to be picked from the millions of players. If this isn't solved by the time it created a new problem then It'll be a pain and I'm the only one apart from Jin that can do anything about it,'

"Sounds like a problem that you can't handle on your own, I've already got this brat in his most stable condition," Jin threw Kyo at the second floor of the room which he recovers from within a few seconds leading to his escape when he noticed the restrictions he always senses vanished after he reaches a certain distance away from Jin

"Whoa, I have never seen you as the type of person that would cooperate without a single explanation,"

"Says the guy who's hell-bent on "not standing out" you're the embodiment of what you want to destroy the most. White hair, Wears anything that is either white or black, wears a mask, I haven't even mentioned your hostile behavior which makes people think that you have a sad childhood,"

Morris stopped his point that targeted his ego by stopping his sentence to continue their topic which he quickly realized that he struck him at his most vulnerable spot that made him smirk

"Don't worry about the rewards that you'll acquire by the end of this journey you are about to embark on. For I detest fraudulent I will give you anything that this Era of the world of trials can offer,"

'A gift from a deity and it's in the Era where Alchemy is the thing they put their whole lives along with their children and the ones after them. Not only did this motivate me to hunt down that reader of mine I'm getting something in return,'

Meanwhile in the alleyway that no sane person will try to enter if they value their life, lies the followers of The Mad Alchemist that were running out of breath as they moved from one place to another to mix a giant vat that was dangerous for anyone who's a naive enough to make contact as the radiation it emitted was enough to make anyone faint

"Our goal is almost complete, no matter how much the Author tries to interfere with my plans it would prove to be useless. The followers that were willing to pay the price for what they desire have been reaching out for my assistance,"
