Refining the Mountains and Rivers

Chapter 1834 – The Opportunity Arises

Chapter 1834 – The Opportunity Arises

“Little blue lamp, I have given them the World Hearts. Please don’t make any errors or the act will become real.” Qin Yu rubbed his face and sighed.

Even though he had already gotten a confirmation from the little blue lamp, his move had been very risky.

After all, the nine Dao Masters were standing at the peak of human cultivators and no one could be certain of what hidden cards they held.

However, the advantage of handing the World Hearts over was that Qin Yu had gained a lot of trust from the nine Dao Masters and he bought more time for himself. He should be able to succeed at igniting his Incense Great Dao, and even if he failed, he still had a chance of escaping. At the very least, he would have some gains from all this trouble.

The little blue lamp’s voice was calm, “Don’t worry, the World Hearts made from World Origin from the Ninerealms will become more sturdy as the Ninerealms recover. Furthermore, I prepared precautionary measures and even if the nine Dao Masters combine forces, they will not be able to harm the Ninerealms.” He paused slightly before continuing, “On the other hand, make proper use of these three months to push your Incense Great Dao.”

Qin Yu answered, “Good.” He stepped forward and teleported back to his living quarters, “I am going to close myself in cultivation for some time. You guys stand guard here and make sure no one disturbs me.”

The cultivators of White Jade Capital standing guard outside his palace bowed and acknowledged his orders.

They did not know what Qin Yu was doing. However, the nine Dao Masters had given them their orders and they had to obey. Furthermore, more than one Dao Masters had come to this palace but were turned away eventually. The cultivators of White Jade Capital were shocked and they dared not make any mistakes here.

Qin Yu waved his sleeve and created a seal around the area. He raised his hand and the Ninerealm token appeared in midair. He stepped forward and disappeared into thin air. Space vibrated and he landed on a vast body of water.

This was the Sea World of the Ninerealms! Aside from some scattered islands in the sea, this was a world that was filled with water. The Sea Spirit Clan lived here and they were a special clan that could swim deep in the ocean.

Half a year ago, the wild and rough seas had gradually became more peaceful and the surviving nine tribes of the Sea Spirit Clan’s leader had announced that he had sensed the will of the savior of the world. He would descend upon this world soon to save the entire Sea Spirit Clan. As time passed by, this was indeed the case – the sea grew more calm and it no longer took the lives of powerful Sea Spirit Clan warriors. Those wild waves had gradually settled to the bottom of the sea.

The sea creatures that had almost gone extinct managed to recover and the deadly silent sea grew more lively. All of this happened in the short span of six months and the Sea Spirit Clan were certain that this could be attributed to the savior.

Little Tula was a young Sea Spirit Clan member. Not long after he was born, his father died to protect him and his mother. That was Little Tula’s most tragic and painful memory. He was helpless as he saw his mother cry painful tears while she hid in a deep cave in the ocean, blocking the waves from him.

Cold, hungry, crushed, pained and despairing…these feelings continuously tormented Little Tula’s heart, causing him much hardship as he grew up. Little Tula once asked his mother why they had to live such a life in this sea. However, he never got an answer from her.

He only got his answer years later. When the ruler of the Sea Spirit Clan died, the world died as well and the seas that they lived in became a graveyard that devoured the buried Sea Spirit Clan members. For many years, the Sea Spirit Clan thought of escaping from this world. Unfortunately, all their attempts had ended in failure.

It seemed as though this world had been isolated from the outside at the moment it died. It had also cut off life for the Sea Spirit Clan members. They could only suffer here as they tried desperately to survive. Under such hardships, they would eventually be completely exterminated.

His mother gradually grew old. In fact, she was actually young but because of the laws of the Sea Spirit Clan, those who lived past a certain age would have to leave the clan and survive out there by themselves. They would use the resources saved from sacrificing the old to nurture the next generation.

Right as his mother was about to be sent away, the ruler, the savior arrived!

The wild sea was like a beast that had been tamed and it finally showed its warm side. The pressure on the Sea Spirit Clan decreased a lot and Little Tula hugged his mother as he cried tears of joy. It was because of the savior that his mother lived.

Therefore, when Little Tula heard that the clan was going to create a sea shrine for the great savior, he did not hesitate to volunteer for it. Every day, he would devote his full strength to create the shrine. The massive shrine was built from the bottom of the sea and every time Little Tula raised his head to look at the top of the shrine where a statue was, he would feel utmost respect and admiration for the savior.

Finally, the shrine was finished!

Little Tula knelt down and kowtowed sincerely, “Our great savior, the only revered ruler of the Sea Spirit Clan, I thank you for your graciousness. My mother will live and my children will not have to suffer like me. You are the heavens of the Sea Spirit Clan; I will respect, follow and will give everything to you. Great Ruler, please continue to look after the Sea Spirit Clan and don’t abandon your loyal believers…”

He prayed silently to himself. Little Tula suddenly felt a feeling wash over him, making him become dazed. He raised his head slightly and saw that the massive statue on the sea shrine had actually became alive. It was shining with golden light.

It stood up and walked to the edge of the shrine. Speaking slowly, it said, “Citizens of the Sea Spirit Clan, I require your utmost faith and belief to help me return to my peak and retrieve the power I once lost. I will give you a peaceful sea.”

Buzz –

A buzzing sound by his ears shocked Little Tula back to reality. Then, he realized that the entire area around the sea shrine had just been turned into a lively ocean.

The savior, the great and mighty ruler…had descended! Little Tula’s eyes widened and his face was filled with tears. So everything had not been his imagination.

It was real!

The savior was real and he had actually descended. The reason why he did not actually appear in the Sea World was because he had not gained back his power.

Faith, our savior requires our faith and the Sea Spirit Clan are the most loyal subjects of the great ruler!

“Fellow Sea Spirit Clan members. After much hardship, we welcome new clan members. Our great ruler has passed us a message, he needs our sincere faith and loyalty to regain his strength. When he succeeds, the Sea Spirit Clan will welcome a new future.” The Clan Leader raised both his hands and cried. His voice was shaking from his excitement, “Right now, let’s kneel before the shrine and give all our faith to our dear ruler!”

Bam bom bam –

Below the shrine, every Sea Spirit Clan member dropped to their knees, including Little Tula.

Vast power of faith poured out from their bodies and gathered towards the shrine. It was being channeled to the ruler in the dark, the savior of the Sea World!

Not far away, there was an area where sea water was isolated away. Qin Yu sat there with his eyes closed.

At this moment, he could feel pure power of faith entering his Great Dao.

The sparks were accumulating and once it crossed a certain threshold, his Great Dao would attempt an ignition!

Qin Yu’s eyes flung open and the corners of his lips pulled into a smile.

It was effective.

Whoosh –

Qin Yu turned around and left.

Three days later, every Sea Spirit Clan tribe in Sea World had begun building their own shrine.

At this moment, Qin Yu had already left and he was in another world – the Forest World. In this world, the Forest Spirits lived. They were living in a world where the trees of the forests were like a green sea.

As the world recovered, the dead and rotten plants were gathering life force again. Amongst the dried up and shriveled wood, new seedlings were growing. The excited Forest Spirits could be certain that their world was recovering.

There was a great shrine that was built using the intertwined branches of ten large trees. The priest of the Forest Spirit Clan was dressed in a gorgeous long robe. He gestured with his hands excitedly.

“Just now, our great ruler, the savior of the Forest Spirit Clan, has delivered his will!”

The priest of the Forest Spirits raised the wooden branch in his hand and made graceful motions with it. The ground suddenly started to shake and plants sprouted out from the earth. These plants grew rapidly and within minutes, they had turned into large trees with luxurious canopies that covered the ground.

Forest Spirit Clan members who witnessed this scene widened their eyes. To them, this was a miracle – this was something that only a god would be capable of!

The priest of the Forest Spirits yelled, “This is the power that the savior has gifted me. He wants me to lead the Forest Spirit Clan on a journey of recovery. However, our great ruler has encountered some trouble now. He requires our sincere faith to help him recover his strength and regain his powers. When that happens, our ruler will be able to descend and us Forest Spirits will be under his protection forever. We will never have to suffer through the ages like our ancestors did.”

Numerous Forest Spirit Clan members kneeled below the altar.

The Ninerealm Holy Land comprised of nine different worlds and the token that Qin Yu possessed allowed him to choose anyone at will. Right now, he was going to lead the living beings in each of the Ninerealms to give him the power of faith.

Qin Yu knew that there was no way he could hide this from the nine Dao Masters of White Jade Capital. In fact, he never intended to hide it from them because this was in the agreement that they made – Qin Yu would help the nine Dao Masters condense World Origin, and the condition for this was the power of faith from the living creatures in the Ninerealms. This would help him to break through and ignite his Great Dao!

Therefore, he was not going to hide these traces. He would amass the power of faith as much as he could to prepare for his breakthrough.

Two months later, Qin Yu had already experienced many failures. Through the undying faith from the natives of the Ninerealms, Qin Yu had amassed sufficient power of faith.

His opportunity to ignite his Incense Great Dao was here!
