1968 Chapter 1968: Grandpa Tang Got Kidnapped

Grandpa Mu invited Yu Qi and Grandpa Tang for dinner at his favourite restaurant. Of course, Yu Qi accepted it. Grandpa Tang also accepted it.

Yu Qi and Grandpa Tang arrived at the restaurant. Yu Qi said that they had a reservation under Grandpa Mu's name. They were immediately led to the private room by the waiter.

It seemed Grandpa Mu was already inside the room.

They took their seats and ordered the food. Yu Qi was taking care of the two old men who wanted her attention. They were like two kids who fought for the girl that they liked. She chuckled when she thought like that.

Yu Qi did not know that she would be forced to choose between two of them.

The ceremony started. All of the participants entered the hall. There was not only Yu Qi's award would be announced in this ceremony.

Grandpa Tang had a separate seat from Yu Qi. Grandpa Mu also had his seat far from Yu Qi.

"Hello. My name is Amy. I am from Canada." A woman at Yu Qi's left greeted Yu Qi. "Oh, hello. I am Tang Yu Qi. I am from Binhai Nation." Yu Qi smiled.

"I see. Which award you are going to receive?" Amy asked.

"It is about the steam cell." Yu Qi said.

"Oh, I read that. It is a very interesting topic." Amy nodded.

"How about you?" Yu Qi asked back.

"Robotic implant," Amy said.

"Oh, that one. It is also interesting. It would help people who had lost their body parts." Yu Qi nodded.

They were talking before the ceremony started. To be honest, Yu Qi disliked to attend something like this. In the future, she would choose to decline to attend something like this or just let someone attend on her behalf.

Amy, on the other hand, fell asleep without worrying about anything. When her award was announced, Yu Qi was the one who woke up her. Amy woke up and rubbed her eyes before going upstage.

The ceremony ran smoothly until the end. Yu Qi stood up and wanted to leave. After

exchanging contact information with Amy, she walked out of the hall. There should be an after party but Yu Qi did not want to attend it.

Yu Qi waited for Grandpa Tang to walk out. However, even after the last person walked out of the hall, she did not see her Grandpa. She went to ask the organiser who was still inside the hall.

"Do you see Doctor Tang Jiang Man?" Yu Qi asked.

That person asked other people. One of them stepped forward and told Yu Qi that Grandpa Tang was the first person to walk out of the hall.

Yu Qi nodded and thanked that person. She walked out of the hall again. Grandpa Tang probably had returned to his room. So, she went to his room. She knocked and knocked on the door. But no one answered.

She tried to call Grandpa Tang but also to no avail. She narrowed her eyes. Grandpa Tang would not do something like this.

Then, she tried to call Pei Xian. Four rang but still no one answered. Yu Qi was about to end the call but suddenly the call had been answered.

"Brother Pei, where are you?" Yu Qi asked.

"Miss Yu Qi... Master Tang... had been... kidnapped." Pei Xian answered weakly. "What?" Yu Qi was shocked. However, she immediately forced herself to calm down. "Brother Pei, where are you right now?"

"I am outside the hotel. Behind it." Pei Xian said.

"I will be there soon." Before Yu Qi ended the conversation, she already rushed to the location that Pei Xian said.

Pei Xian and several bodyguards had been laying on the ground. Yu Qi immediately called the ambulance. After calling the ambulance, she checked on their condition. They were badly injured. Pei Xian and one bodyguard were in particularly dangerous conditions.

Yu Qi took pills and forced them to eat them. It would help them and stop the blood. The ambulance came. The paramedics were shocked when they saw so many patients. They thought it was a prank call. Turned out I was the truth.

"How do you know about that?" One of the police officers asked.

"Because they are my grandpa's bodyguards. My grandpa has been kidnapped." Yu Qi said.

"What?" The police officers were shocked to hear the statement.
