Chapter 1241: Meanwhile, Outside The Nightmare Realm 1



"Do you think we'll easily let you humans get to this expanding nightmare realm?!

"We'll sacrifice our lives to protect it! Gyahahaha!"

"Prepare yourselves, once its decay rate reaches a hundred percent, you're all going to DIEEEE!"

Three Nightmare Demons had appeared in front of the female student bathroom out of nowhere, only a couple of minutes ago, surprising Maria's party.

They summoned hundreds of Lesser Nightmares, which they sent around the academy in hope to buy time until the Nightmare Lord could completely devour Sofia.

Their plan? To let the Nightmare Realm fully decay so it would explode and expand across the entire academy, wreaking havoc and destroying it.

They aimed at the Academy for an obvious reason, it was the place where the Dream Warriors, the only people that could fight against them were being raised.

And also it was a prime area where they could eat all the Dream Hearts they wanted!

However, these three demons, resembling anthropomorphic crows with different eye colors and many wings, seemed shocked right now, even though they were still acting bravely.

Why?

Well, Maria's party had fully stopped them from even reaching any area within their range, expanding powerful Domains of their own and slaying any nightmare coming for the students!

"Hahah, keep saying bullshit like that and I'll have to chop your head off!"

Partner had no patience, using her bat-like wings to reach the nearest Nightmare Demon and thrusting her two spears, aiming to pierce the blue-eyed crow-like one.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

A barrage of explosive attack reached the Nightmare Demon, although she held back in her attack power, fearing she might destroy the building, heavily having to nerf herself in the process.

"Don't think this measly series of attacks can... stop me! CRAAHH!"

The crow-shaped nightmare demon unleashed their power, as they materialized black frost that temporarily stopped Partner's attacks.

"Tch, if I could go all-out you would have already turned into roasted chicken!"

Partner materialized her Blood Magic at once, unleashing hundreds of Blood Needles to stop the crow's black ice from reaching her, explosions of blood and darkness erupted everywhere. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

"C-Craaah! Who the hell are you guys?! Why are you so damn strong?!"

The Nightmare Demon fighting her was being constantly pushed back, even hitting the walls to the bathroom and gritting his beak.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Brothers! Help me!"

"What?!"

"We're damn busy you know?!"

The other two crow-faced nightmare demons, a red eyed one and a gold eyed one were fighting Lucifer, Jonathan, Nina, and Emeraldine at the same time.

Jonathan swung his divine blade, unleashing small yet precise and deadly slashing waves that constantly cut through the red-eyed crow-like Nightmare Demon.

The Nightmare Demon, whose primary power was conjuring darkness, constantly regenerated by turning its sliced parts into black fog-like shadows.

However, this also opened the way for Nia to swing her thunderous spear against him, constantly piercing his elemental body and exploding parts of it.

"Aack! Stop already! How you're so damn strong?! We're Nightmare Demons! T-The pinnacle of... Nightmares!"

Meanwhile, Emeraldine fired her arrows from afar, which exploded into branches and roots from trees, trapping the golden-eyed crow-like nightmare demon.

However, by turning his body into black flames, he was freeing himself constantly, only to be either trapped again, or being beaten by Lucifer's scaled, sharp claws.

But that wasn't all, as Lucifer's Abyssal Death Flames seemed much more powerful, constantly consuming his nightmare flames!

"Aaarghh! T-This is too hard! Why are you so strong?! Are you even students?!"

As the three crows screamed in desperation, they suddenly glanced at one another, turning

into their own elements the moment they felt they were going to die.

"Fine, we'll show you our true form, you damn kids!"

FLUOSH!

Nightmare Ice, Nightmare Fire, and Nightmare Shadows merged together into a single being,

as Partner and everyone else in the group glanced with... stoic, expressionless faces.

"Yeah I guessed they would do this," nodded Partner.

"Are the professors still evacuating the students? When are they going to get here?" Emeraldine asked desperately.

"It doesn't matter when they get here anyways, we can handle this," said Lucifer, as his body was covered on more scales, showing his draconic might.

"A-Are you sure?" Nia was nervous, she was the weakest of the bunch, but despite that, she was growing at an astonishing pace.

"Yeah, leave it to us!" Partner nodded, imbuing her Vampiric Aura of Shadows and Blood into

her spears.

"GRAAAHHH!"

RUMBLE!

The combination of elements culminated as a massive six-winged, three-headed- and six- armed crow beast materialized, made of frost, fire, and shadows, it resembled some sort of elemental monstrosity right out of some video game.

Arthur, Arachne, Celes, and Nyx weren't here right now, as they were down in their own classrooms, which facilitated this fight for the group.

"I'll show you my true power!" roared the three-headed crow. "This is my true form! My name is Neberius, the Nightmare Demon of Shadow Fire Frost! I am the embodiment of people's fear towards hot temperaments and low temperatures! Kahahaha! And darkness

too!"

The giant of almost four meters spread out his elements everywhere, flames, frost, and shadows encompassed his surroundings, rapidly generating a massive multi-elemental

domain.

And from within the domain, dozens of new Nightmares Emerged, resembling giant bird-like monstrosities that walked with spider-like legs made of these elements.

"SHYAAAGH!"

They furiously hissed before charging against the group, opening their jaws to fire elemental projectiles while trying to destroy anything in their path.

The classrooms behind, the walls and the ceiling, all these things were about to be destroyed

if they weren't stopped in time.

"We can't let them destroy the building or everything is going to go down and a lot of people are going to die crushed!" said Emeraldine. "We might survive such a thing easily, but not

everyone else!"

"Then what can we do? If we keep holding back like this we're not going to get anywhere!"

said Partner.

"I'll capture him within a Shadow Domain!" said Lucifer. "I've figured out one thing or two from Maria's abilities and magic. As an Undead, Darkness and Shadows is one of my primary elements anyways. It'll take me a couple seconds, so buy me time!"

"Okay!" Nia nodded, imbuing her entire body with her Windstorm Aura, her eyes glowing bright emerald. "Haaaahh!"

She charged forward with Partner and Jonathan, while Emeraldine remained right in front of

Lucifer protecting him.
