Rebirth: Over the Horizon

A handsome held out his hand from the place where he was standing the chill breeze was enough to send shivers to anyone.

But, strangely he was enjoying it despite the cold.

'A three-day sea-voyage, huh?'

Yes, It was no other than Adam Crystal.

He was currently heading towards God's ocean from axsis there is no way he can swim through all the way.

So, adam personally hired a ship and set out to reach Atlanta.

The captain of the ship is dura a half-Orc woman.

She is abrasive and loud, but the half-orc's aggressive nature suits her well as the ship's captain.

Adam went to sleep but he can't rest no more than 10 minutes before waking up in the cabin by the alarm calling for all hands on deck.

As he goes out of his room, he spots Emily who is also rushing her way through the ships open surface.

The night isn't very dark, as the moonlight casts everything in a pale glow.

The crew spots another ship from afar like Epiphany. Their ship is called epiphany.

Also, It's way larger than the Epiphany, using both sails and oars for propulsion.

Adam notices that epiphany sails are hanging loose upon the mast.

Captain Dura is yelling orders to her crew she gestures to Adam and Emily to join her in the cabin.

"I was afraid of this," Dura says.

"Sea pirates have their own intelligence network, they should have known that you have a large amount of gold"

"I thought that by travelling with other ships we will not be caught up in this mess"

"Once we get far enough away from land, very few ships will be able to follow. Even so, we should have seen any pursuers on the horizon yesterday."

"They have a mage on board who used magic to hide them, and now they've stopped the wind, too."

"Only one ship could have done all that. She must be the Black Shark, and that means the Reaver is on board."

Adam was confused but more curious about who is the mage that can use hide skill.

"Who is black shark and Rivera"

"I guess you haven't been to sea before," Captain Dura says between shouts to her crew.

"The Reaver was just a regular sailor until his ship got lost at sea. The ship coasted back into port, but everyone was dead…except for him."

"He'd just be considered bad luck, but he gained some terrible dark arts out there."

"Who knows what pacts he made to keep himself alive. The Black Shark is one of the cruellest pirate ships that sail the Silver Sea."

"Only a crew of black-hearted ravagers like them would have the Reaver sail with them."

"You have the catapult right?"

"Yes"

"But, it will take time, if they attacked us first, our probability of losing is very high"

"Don't worry about that, Just focus on setting the catapult"

Adam went to the open surface and casted his newly acquired skill.

"Cyro Freeze"

The water in the surrounding 2000m instantly turned into white ice and became frozen at once.

This skill cost him about 50,000 G, Adam bought this purposefully for his upcoming battle's in oceans.

"Wet the sails!" Dura yells. "Archers, on deck! Man the catapult!"

Buckets of seawater are thrown onto the sails, and the crew loads the catapult.

Adam watches as the catapult is loaded with a large stone that could punch a hole right through the Black Shark.

The Epiphany lurches as the catapult fires.

The stone soars over the frozen water between the ships, but just as it nears the Black Shark, it strikes something blue and shimmering.

The frozen water also turns into normal.

The magical shield causes the rock to shatter into dust and slide into the water around the ship.

The Reaver has protected their vessel with magic.

Adam sees people with crossbows in the rigging and on the archer platforms of the Black Shark.

As the distance closes, bolts begin to fly!

Adam quickly tries to duck and avoid the arrows but before he could do something a sensation rises from his thigh like a solid punch.

Without wasting time, he hides behind one of the barrels.

Looking down, Adam sees that he gave been hit by a crossbow bolt.

The pain fills him a moment later as blood runs from the wound. The crew is also being shot at.

A second later, Adam sees a sailor fall from high above as a crossbow catches him in the stomach.

He lands hard on the deck, and anyone can tell by the angle of his neck that he's dead.

The two ships slam together, and enemy crew members begin to jump onto his deck through the magical blue shell encasing the Black Shark.

Planks are thrown onto the railings of both ships as the pirates begin boarding the Epiphany.

Adam quickly recognizes a man as a reaver.

He is standing amidst the enemy raiders on the main deck of the other ship, working on some new piece of magic.

He's bald, and every inch of his exposed skin looks to be covered with crisscrossing scar tissue.

Adam tries to use his magic but, soon a notification pops up before him.

[You can't use magic]

'Magic can't be used, huh?'

Emily tools out a spider-like statue and throws it on the edge of the ship.

Within a second, it grows into the size of a wagon and begins to move!

The enormous stone spider leaps across the intervening distance and begins to fight the pirates on their own vessel.

Hopefully, it could by sometime!

But, everyone could know it, the giant stone spider vanishes and the reaver raises his hand in the mid-air and completed the spell.

A giant vortex of water open and watch as the sea falls into it.

Captain Dura yells at her crew to man the oars.

Without any wind, there's no other way to avoid the building whirlpool or the other ship.

The two ships bounce away from each other after the massive collision.

The gap between them is about ten feet wide, and the planks that had been placed to cross over have fallen into the water.

The pirates on the Black Shark loads an enormous ballista with the hopes of smashing the Epiphany to pieces.

Adam slowly raises in his feet and gazes over the damaged black shark and mostly shattered epiphany.

'So, it has come to this, huh?"

"It seems, I have no other way"

By hearing his words the pirates and crews were left confused by his statement.

But, next second an enormous portal opens up and a black figure with a larger female body and a snake-like structure with a lower body appears before them.
