Rebirth: Leading Families to Survive in the Apocalypse

Chapter 51 - Fifty-One: Set Prohibitions

Chapter 51: Chapter Fifty-One: Set Prohibitions

“Lu Hao, do you also need to cast this Prohibition Technique?” Su Jin asked.

“Yes, the more people who know, the more dangerous it becomes,” Lu Hao seemed not to hesitate with this question at all. He trusted Su Jin, so he was willing to never share this secret with anyone else.

Therefore, after the unanimous agreement of the whole family, Su Jin could only watch from the sidelines.

This Prohibition Technique seemed not to require much effort. Nie Qing had a few people recite in their minds their willingness to keep the Space secret, then Nie Qing cut his fingertip blood, sprinkled the blood into the air, and drew a few strokes in the air. They saw that drop of blood in mid-air split into several evenly shaped smaller beads, which flew into the foreheads of the people around.

“Is it done?” Lin Xiuyuan was quite surprised; he didn’t feel anything.

The others, too, looked at Nie Qing in confusion. Was it really already done? They had thought it would be very troublesome.

“The Prohibition is set; you needn’t worry about today’s events leaking,” Nie Qing told them. This method was also necessary among many sects back in the day since each sect had its own secrets to keep. Generally, the Sect Leader would set it for the disciples of the sect. Their sect had been accustomed to a reclusive life generation after generation, so the opportunity to use this technique was frequent; he hadn’t expected he would need to use it today.

“Now I don’t have to worry about my blabbermouth, Old Nie, you’re really capable!”

Lu Guanhai was now delighted; he had just tried to speak about the Space, finding that it was as if an invisible barrier had covered his mouth, completely stopping him from speaking.

Aunt Lin Huizhen also felt relieved; she had always been worried about Qiqi being too young. If someone with an intention had coaxed her into talking, that would have been disastrous. Now, there was no need to worry anymore.

Mao Zhihang also thought this method was good; he didn’t have to worry about himself, nor did he have to worry about others. Having been bound by the Prohibition, he felt a lot more at ease deep down.

Afterward, Su Jin and Lu Hao led the family on a tour of the area outside the Lu Residence. Apart from the thriving crops, the chicken and duck huts in the back of the Lu Residence and the pens for pigs, cows, and sheep were also very impressive.

“Xiao Jin, did you and Lu Hao bring all these in?” Lin Yunguo was quite surprised; it was fantastic, they wouldn’t have to worry about food in the future.

Su Jin nodded her head; moreover, after entering the Space, the number of these poultry and livestock had doubled over the days! Su Jin had complained to Lu Hao before that they had bought too much, resulting in them being unable to consume all the poultry and livestock in the Space. Thankfully, now that the family knew, there could be people to help eat.

“Oh my god, Su Jin, is that a parking lot?!” Lin Xiuyuan, who had just run out, came running over with a face full of surprise; he had just seen four imposing armored vehicles parked on the empty grassland next to them, with five neat buses behind the armored vehicles. When had Su Jin gotten these?!

“Those were bought together by Lu Hao and me; we might need them later,” Su Jin said as she simply took the family over to the parking lot, talking as they walked.

“Xiao Jin, I think you have thought too much,” Mrs. Su Lin Tianhui felt somewhat sad for some reason, her daughter had really taken on a lot for this family. And they as elders, really hadn’t done much.

“Yes, Xiao Jin, you and Xiao Hao have really given too much for us,” Lin Cheng also sighed; all these were obviously prepared considering the entire family.

“Mom, you don’t need to think too much, even if it were just me alone, I would still need to prepare all these, and moreover, the management of the Space will need help from you, Uncle, in the future,” Su Jin then shared her thoughts.

The Wood Spirit Space was too large. Although Su Jin could use her thoughts for some transportation tasks, many things could not be done by thoughts alone, like harvesting and processing the crops when they ripened, and managing and controlling the livestock and the orchards, and they would also plant some vegetables in the future. All these would need human help; relying just on her and Lu Hao might be very strenuous.

“Xiao Jin, you and Xiao Hao can rest assured, these tasks will be our duties from now on, and we will handle them for you,” Huang Yunxiang assured, patting her chest; these were all tasks she had done before. Feeding chickens, ducks, and managing livestock, she was most familiar with these.

“Yes, Xiao Jin, from now on, you don’t need to mention it; we’ll take care of it ourselves,” Aunt Lin Tianzhen also said.

“I want to help too,” Mao Qiqi raised her little chubby hands, afraid that everyone would forget her.

Lu Hao pinched Mao Qiqi’s face, wondering when he and Su Jin would also have such an adorable daughter!

The matter of the Space was thus settled for the time being, and Su Jin finally let go of the big rock in her heart; it felt so good not to keep secrets from her family.

The family left the Space joyfully, and outside, only 20 minutes had passed. Everyone marveled once again at the magic of the Space since they couldn’t talk about it; they could only exchange glances and cover their mouths, laughing.

Having resolved the matter of the Space, Su Jin no longer had to hide anything. She planned to spend the next two days moving the stores she had bought the day before.

At that moment, Su Jin’s phone rang. It was the 30 motorcycles she had bought that morning that had arrived; she had almost forgotten about this, so she prepared to go to the warehouse with Lu Hao to receive the goods.

“Xiao Jin, are you saying that the remaining 5 million has finally been spent?” Mrs. Su Lin Tianhui was a bit excited; she didn’t have to spend any more money.

“Yes, I bought the bookstore, pharmacy, and grain and oil stores you guys were looking at,” she replied.

“Girl, can we also use the shiny pieces from the bookstore to watch TV?” Nie Qing’s eyes instantly lit up.

“Of course, Uncle Nie, the bookstore also gave me a free DVD player, and I have a generator in there too,” Su Jin said, referring to the inside of the Space, which the family could all understand.

“Great, girl, let’s go now,”

Nie Qing wanted to go to the bookstore immediately; all the TV series and movies in the entire store would be his!

Lu Hao shook his head; his master sometimes really didn’t look like a detached expert at all.

In the end, the family had to split up: Lin Cheng, Mao Zhihang, and Su Xiangzhe went to inspect the motorcycles; Su Jin, Lu Hao, and Nie Qing went to take over the bookstore.

Lin Xiuyuan continued with the downloading task Su Jin had assigned to him. He was now very proactive, having scavenged every desktop, laptop, and tablet from every household, ready to fill up all their memory.

Before leaving, Su Jin took out several bags of flour, some live chickens and ducks, and several large baskets of chicken and duck eggs from the Space.

Upon learning about the Space’s preservation capabilities, Huang Yunxiang suggested the family make some portable foods to store therein over the next few days for future emergencies.

Su Jin also strongly agreed with this; nobody wanted to eat compressed biscuits and instant noodles all the time in the future.

Thus, Mrs. Su, her aunt, and grandmother began helping make food at home, while Lin Yunguo was so happy to go to the market to buy ingredients, saying he would make dumplings and steamed buns without having to worry about being scolded by his spouse for buying too much anymore.

The family began to divide the tasks officially.
