My Evil System

Chapter 146 Troll Bore . . .

I felt someone was watching me, and I glanced at Feliz, who gave me piercing glares.

I smiled and waved my hand her way. She reciprocated with a flip of her hair and a snobby flung of her head forward.

My smile dropped, and I stopped pretending when they weren't looking. I then stared at the scenery to pass the time.

Dancing rays of light dapple the ground in an ever-shifting pattern. The leaves above stain the sunlight green, and everything around us took on an emerald hue.

The pungent scent of rotting leaves and damp earth filled my nostrils. The trees loomed close, leaves rustling overhead as though engaged in whispered conversation.

These ancient, territorial borders were deep and dense, filled with meadows, veteran trees, and trickling brooks. Made distinctively by their prominent number of trees, their interlinked canopies form a continuous cover on the plant life that grew beneath.

Of course, I didn't let this chance slip by and foraged everything that I could. Now that I have the [Material Storage] and [Treasury], I don't have to think of my limited inventory anymore.

There were other players as well, so I stopped and took a moment to watch at my surroundings. From time to time, I saw groups of players passing by.

I'll wait for us until we were deep enough into the forest before killing them so they wouldn't scream out from the woodlands and had the chance to ask for help.

Trap in the mazes of the jungle, I'll hunt those players until I have enough points.

My [Evil Eyes] saw everything, including all the groups' locations, beasts, treasures, caves, secret passages, and foraging spots. Even NPCs that offered quests, hidden bosses, and . . .

Hmm . . . there's a God in here.

I was busy looking around when our group stumbled upon a bore. It wasn't just any ordinary bore you usually see in a forest like this.

It was a beast of human size. Its four paws were like those of a bear, while multiple sharp tusks protruded from its mouth. It also has two horns on the side of its head.

Upon inspecting with [Evil Eyes], its ATP wasn't that scary as much as at its intimidating appearance.

The Bore was a common beast here, and they usually attacked alone or once you entered its territory.

My teammate, however, saw it as a major threat despite its low ATP. I almost forgot that their ATP were low, so one shot from the Bore would surely spell trouble for them.

The Bore's STR was 50, and most of my teammates DEF was only in tenths. The highest was Renj with twenty-plus DEF.

For this group, the Troll Bore would pose a problem.

Feliz used [Monocle] on the Bore, and the Bore's information was transferred into our screen and stored in our monster compendium.

[Monocles] were used to see the stat of every creature except players. And if you were in a group, it was fine if it was only one person who used [Monocle], and the information would be shared within the group.

"T-this . . . a-are we going to attack it?" Nina hid behind Renj and Zen, shaking to her feet.

"We're going to face it," said Renj, swinging his sword to the side. "Every beast here has that kind of ATP. If we don't defeat it, then we can't kill the rest of the monsters here."

"Cover me!" Renj yelled and dashed forward towards the Bore.

Upon his action, the Bore's eyes turned red. It growled and leaped back just in time for Renj's heavy swing to land with a sound like splitting wood against the ground.

"Attack it with fire!" Renj instructed.

Zen closed in, and his swift barraged of strikes unfolded the Bore's defenses. His attacks became a blinding salvo of strikes, but it wasn't enough to kill the Bore.

Since Zen was a fighter, he had to be close to his opponent. The only downside was he was also close to the enemies counter attack.

Zen's AGI couldn't be compared with the Bore and definitely his STR couldn't be compared with the Bore's STR.

With a mighty smack, Zen was sent flying away and hit a trunk before falling to the ground with a single-digit HP.

"Nina, heal him!" Renj said and took the vanguard while Nina quickly healed Zen.

"D-damn . . . what a damage. I thought I was a goner," Zen said, masking his shaking voice with a laugh.

I was amazed that he was still smiling despite his near-death experience.

"A-are you okay?" Nina asked him.

"Yeah. But is that all the healing you can do?"

Nina shrunk and cried. "I-I'm sorry. My heal is low level. I'm sorry I'm so useless."

"Egh . . . it's not like that." Zen patted Nina's head and smiled. "Can you heal me again?"

Nina wiped her tears and nodded.

The two had this chemistry . . . too bad that I would have to cut that chemistry short.
