Chapter 1136 To Be Recognized
1136 To Be Recognized
Whoosh!
At the moment Scho'doxa was done talking, he did not hesitate to release an aura that did not lose out to Valyr's aura in terms of presence, causing those who'd been on the edge of fainting from Valyr's aura all this time to finally succumb.
However, for those who remained conscious even after that, they were soon greeted by the man's aura intensifying not long after. At some point, it even reached a level that made most of the crowd feel like they were on the verge of fainting as well.
Once Scho'doxa's aura reached that level, it went without saying that Valyr's aura far paled in comparison to the aura he was exuding. Nevertheless, almost everyone near him now fully understood that they shouldn't have messed with him in the first place.
With both Scho'doxa and Valyr retracting their aura a minute or so later, everyone surrounding them immediately let out wide sighs of relief as they committed what had just transpired to memory.
Because of that, almost everyone who'd vocalized their complaints about Valyr's treatment earlier shifted their gazes towards the gruff-looking man that spoke out, their expressions that of both anger and remorse.
After all, he was the reason why things had unfolded as it did.
Naturally, the gruff-looking man understood that as well, causing a bitter smile to appear on his face. At that moment, he was reminded of the outspoken man who'd receive a punishment from Scho'doxa just a few days ago.
Expecting to receive a similar punishment from the man presiding over the entire tournament, Scho'doxa instead told the man to move to the end of the line as a punishment, making it seem as if the heavens had taken pity on him.
Profusely thanking Scho'doxa for his kindness, the gruff-looking man swiftly did what he was told, with everything returning to the way it was a few minutes later.
With Scho'doxa thanking him after the entire thing finally calmed down, it was only then did Valyr head to the area made for those who passed the first round, immediately catching the attention of many who'd seen the entire thing unfold.
Of course, the ones who approached him first were none other than Julian and the others, all of them eager to ask the young man questions regarding the words Scho'doxa spoke before.
"I get the fact that you could fight against foes one class rank above you," said Julian to the young man, prompting the others to nod in agreement. "I could also understand you having the ability to fight against foes two class ranks above you. After all, you're the guild's representative in the Four Pillars' Inheritance."
"But is what he said true?" Julian looked at Valyr with an expectant gaze as he got to his main question. "While you were at Rank 3, you fought against a Myth-level being and won?"
Hearing the question, Valyr let out a chuckle before looking at Noel to his right. "I think Elder Noel has a good idea why Scho'doxa said that."
Unsurprisingly, Julian, Edward, and Wells immediately looked at the old man for clarification, causing Noel to glare at Valyr for a bit before letting out a wry chuckle.
Whilst Noel eventually obliged to Valyr's words and gave the trio a brief summary of what transpired back in the Shadow Plane, Scho'doxa's mind was still on Valyr even after he'd already gone through multiple people after him.
Returning the person in front of him for failing to meet the first round's qualifications, the man thought to himself, 'For a 2nd Tier Seed, it's quite weird that I could only view a certain portion of his system.'
'His newly created energy and his second subclass aside, it's as if the Apparatus itself is stopping me from taking a look at those titles,' inwardly muttered Scho'doxa, feeling his curiosity grow with every passing second. 'Seriously, what do those titles mean?'
'I guess I'll never find those out even if I wanted to.'
…
Though the entire situation involving Valyr and him passing through the second and third round could be considered a minor blip in the first round of the tournament, many of the people who were near him that time still talked about it over the passing days. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
In fact, the news of him obtaining preferential treatment from Scho'doxa, only to be followed up by the feats that made him deserving of such treatment, soon spread throughout the entirety of the field.
Because of that, not only were the humans of Veldanyr now privy towards the existence of a prodigious entity within their race, but the other races within Veldanyr now knew of his identity as well.
Of course, those other races also included the orcs.
However, that's a story saved for later.
In the end, the first round of the tournament took an entire week to finish, with most of those who passed in the first round surprised to find out that the number of beings within Veldanyr actually amounted to over 150 million.
Hearing that only a sixth of them remained after the entire thing, many of them could not help but feel a hint of anticipation towards the next few rounds that were going to come.
Though, there were also some who wanted nothing more than to return to Veldanyr and regain their peaceful lives once more.
"Now that the first round is over, we shall now move onto the next round." Dispelling the nine copies of himself that he'd conjured, Scho'doxa soon rose to the skies once more as his words immediately caught the attention of everyone on the field.
"But before that…"
Whoosh!
Ding!
Just as many were curious as to what the second round of the tournament entailed, the man waved his hands all of them, only for everyone to hear a couple notifications pop up in their system not long after.
With that, everyone took a look at the notifications they received.
Naturally, that included Valyr.
[You have passed the first round of the Rise to Prominence tournament.]
[As proof of your passing, you have obtained the title 'Tier I Being'.]
'…I see.' Reading through the notifications, Valyr immediately understood what was going on. 'So, even if you fail the first round, you're guaranteed to obtain the title either way.'
'Considering how this tournament has something to do with the players arriving to Greater Beyond very soon, I'm pretty sure this title has something more to it.'
Curious as to why everyone on Veldanyr had been given the title whether they passed or failed the first round, Valyr soon got his answer from the man that gave the title out in the first place.
