MMORPG : Rise of the Interstellar God

The group ran at high speed across the huge platform!

After about ten minutes, Apophis felt a colossal energy rise in front of him. They were getting close!

Finally, Apophis saw the Great Warlord Regnier and inspected him immediately.

[Regnier] [Warrior] [lvl 100] [Tier: A]

Regnier levitated in the air, legs crossed, a dark red energy coalescing and sinking into his skin.

The group moved into fighting positions. Apophis ordered the two Warriors, as well as a female Esper named StarLight and a male Sniper named FantasyDoctor, to prepare for battle!

The dark red energy that was flowing over and into Regnier stopped, and the man slowly lowered until his feet hit the ground.

With his right hand, he reached into a portal which appeared in front of him and withdrew a two-handed sword that was two meters long!

Zareil, seeing the events unfold, drew his two guns and activated a shield skill.

"Listen up!" said Apophis. "This isn't some high-intelligence dungeon boss in front of us! It's a Rank-A xeno NPC with at least as much intelligence as we do, so don't underestimate it! Treat this like a PvP fight! Assume it'll target the healers first. Protect StarLight and FantasyDoctor! Good luck to all!"

Then Apophis activated his ~Susanoo~ and its black flames!

But he hardly had time to finish… before Regnier, at the speed of the sound, rushed towards FantasyDoctor and cut him in half with a single blow!

Apophis also reacted quickly. He rushed towards StarLight to protect her with ~Susanoo~ while Zareil and the rest of the team opened fire on Regnier!

Regnier used a strange skill… His dark red energy spread like flames across his body and sword, completely protecting him from the damage that would have been inflicted upon him.

But that wasn't all! Regnier raised his sword, concentrating a huge amount of energy on its blade.

"AOE attack!" Apophis shouted. "Get away now!"

The players move away from Regnier as quickly as possible—

But they were too slow! Regnier launched another attack, shaking the whole dimension and pulverizing six players in one shot!

Aside from Apophis and Zareil, only StarLight, Jiraiya, and TripleDog were left.

These C-Rank players were impossibly fragile against Regnier. The enemy's damage was so ridiculous that Apophis ordered Jiraiya and TripleDog to retreat immediately! Starlight remained, though, being essential to heal Zareil.

Finally, some good news appeared. Regnier's dark red energy dissipated, and the first wounds could be seen on his torso, dripping with silver blood. With the end of this energy protection, Regnier was now vulnerable again to Zareil and Apophis's attacks.

However, Apophis was quite limited. He couldn't help Zareil properly, because he was forced to stay in place and use his ~Susanoo~ to protect StarLight.

Eventually, Regnier turned to Apophis and leaped towards him! His sword slammed down, but ~Susanoo~ blocked it! However, this didn't demotivate Regnier. He unleashed a hundred sword blows in a few moments, and ~Susanoo's~ durability quickly crumbled!

Once the skeletal armor was weak enough, Regnier made a single, brutal attack which shattered ~Susanoo~ and pierced both StarLight and Apophis.

StarLight died and disappeared in a beam of light—

But Apophis had, in an instant, activated his passive skill, ~Ghost,~ which made him immune to physical attacks! He was very lucky that Regnier hadn't infused that heavy attack with energy, or it would have gotten past ~Ghost's~ physical resistance!

Unfortunately, Regnier seemed immediately to understand how the skill worked. "Impressive skill," he said, "but unfortunately, not enough".

Once again, Regnier's body crawled with dark red energy.

"Apophis!" Zareil shouted. "Run away!"

Almost casually, Regnier turned towards Zareil and launched a full-power attack at him.

The power impacted Zareil, hurling him back several meters and leaving him on the ground in a pool of blood.

Regnier turned to Apophis.
