Chapter 193 Royal Dryad
Alex watched as the once massive tree with a lush green crown started to wither rapidly, its rich green leaves turning close to black before dropping and crumbling to dust before even reaching the ground.
The once colorful thick iron-like bark started to shed like it was experiencing the worst summer season of its long life at an accelerated time.
It looked like the tree was being sapped out of its vast vitality from within, making its vibrant structure experience change for the worse with every passing moment.
'I don't see any magic circle, but seeing the condition of the tree, the Boss should get summoned in a few minutes at the longest.' Alex thought, seeing giant thick branches crumbling to the ground.
'Ruler Pride'
Alex used the skill to start his preparation, a bit annoyed by not knowing how long it would take before the world Boss got summoned, but he would rather waste a few points of intelligence than not be prepared for the Boss to appear and chop his head off.
Alex had no clue what area of strength the Boss would excel in, and even though he was confident in his strength to match him in battle and win, he still decided to prepare to the best of his ability.
[Summon Elemental]
Alex used the temporarily promoted skill burning through 200K points of mana to summon an elemental of peak fourth Rank.
A giant poll of darkness that stretched for a few hundred meters in a circle appeared on the ground consuming the natural light in the area, covering every bit of debris while leaving the mangled and bloodied bodies of the centaurs.
'My elemental better not act like that death knight summoned by the lich that went rouge, or I will be in trouble,' Alex thought, taking out a high-quality mana potion to recover.
Alex understood that just like the lich, his summoning skill was artificially elevated to the next Rank, and he was also summoning a creature who had surpassed the boundaries of the Mortal stage and had vastly different intelligence than a third Rank creature.
Alex wasn't worried about getting attacked by his summon because he could cancel it at any time he wanted, but he was hoping not to do that because the battle against the world boss would be anything but easy.
Alex watched as the branches of the once lively tree crumbled in the distance, shattering into pieces like rotten husks on impact while the giant green crown of leaves was completely gone.
If one watched from any distance, the ongoing scene painted quite an eerie picture with a giant tree crumbling, a half-destroyed settlement with blooded bodies littering the destroyed floor, and a giant pitch-dark circle covering a large area of the ground.
After forty seconds of waiting in silence, a creature oozing with pitch darkness appeared, and with his appearance, the pool of darkness vanished.
Alex looked closely, recognizing that summoned elemental was a female standing slightly over six feet tall with ashy dark skin.
She wore skin-tight scaly armor and looked like an elf with her beautiful face and long pointy ears, but she also had a tail covered in dark crystal-like scales and two slim short dark crystal horns on her head with sharp edges.
She looked around curiously, stopping her gaze on the withering tree after hearing the noise of its branches crumbling and crashing on the ground.

'She is a monster,' Alex thought, and just as he was about to check her skills, she vanished from her place and appeared before him.
"Summoner, I am Nyla Taivnu Xiandai, and I belong to the Taivnu Xiandai clan from the Mystic Realm." The female said, looking Alex dead in the eyes in her cold, emotionless voice.
'The sheer amount of death mana around her is mind-boggling.' Alex thought, feeling the familiar mana that he once wielded.
Nyla was releasing rich death mana pressure that didn't affect Alex in any way, nor did he feel any threat from it, but her cold predatory gray and dark eyes with a snake-like slit in the center gave him a different feel.
'Let's see if she will corporate,' Alex thought, and just as he was about to introduce himself and check her stance, Nyla spoke, making him stay silent.
"I am not interested in knowing who you are and how a mortal like you even opened such a stable and pure mana portal."
"What is it that you want me to do?" Nyla asked, looking around like she was trying to locate a threat.
'She is not fond of me, but by her statement, she doesn't plan to act rouge and is completely willing to help me.' Alex thought.
Alex never personally summoned a fourth Rank creature and had zero experience dealing with them, and all his knowledge about these high Ranking creatures with free will and intelligence came from other player experiences from his past life.
"I want you to help me kill a creature that will appear shortly," Alex said, not seeing a reason to talk.
"BOOOOMMMM"
Alex and Nyla stood in silence, and after a few seconds, the tree broke from just above its base, crashing to the ground with a solid impact splintering into hundreds of rotten pieces of wood.
The moment the tree broke, a giant magic circle appeared around the broken tree stump and started gathering a vast amount of mana from the surroundings creating a small tornado of mana and wind.
The mana storm became so thick it made it impossible to see the mana circle, and after a few seconds, the mana storm died down, leaving behind a clean area from any rotting woods and a cocoon of leaves resting on the tree stump.
"A Nature Elementalist and a strong one at that," Nyla mumbled, looking at the cocoon of leaves.
It took mere moments before the green leaves started to uncurl shortly, revealing mesmerizing flower petals with velvety textures having multiple colors started to uncurl taking the shape of a blossoming flower.
The flower opened in a few seconds, revealing a female sleeping inside it, who wore a dress of leaves and flowers that covered only her well-endowed beauty.
'A Royal Dryad.' Alex thought, looking at the stat window of the summoned world boss.

'The greater regeneration is going to be a big problem.' Alex thought.
The dryad only had one skill, but it alone would be a great headache as it allowed her to recover from any physical injuries, even regenerating lost libs in seconds while also passively recovering 0.5% of her health every three seconds.
The passive regeneration would allow the dryad to recover 210K health points every second and also make it impossible to kill her by decapitating or destroying her vital organs like her heart and brain.
The Dryad had 30 million health points, but with her regeneration, she could recover over four million every minute, which meant Alex would need to deal over 5 Million damage every minute if he wanted to end the battle in thirty minutes.
"Summoner, I can't protect you and fight at the same time, so you better leave this place and give me the freedom to handle this flower," Nyla said, seeing the dryad waking up from her sleep.
"I can protect myself," Alex said, and Nyla just gave him a side glance before vanishing.
Nyla appeared high in the air holding a lance of pitch darkness covered in gray flames, and without wasting a moment, she threw the lance at the dryad, who stood calmly looking toward Alex.
The lance vanished as it left Nyla's grip and appeared before the Dryad, inches away from smashing into her, yet the Dryad didn't even blink, and an instant later, a wall of wood appeared before her taking the full brunt of the attack.
"BOOOOMMMMM"
The lance exploded into darkness and gray flames, and the explosion was followed by another explosion as a second lance vanished into the flames and then a third, fourth, and fifth.
Nyla stood in the air with tens of dark lances floating around her, with her arms being a blur as she threw them into the dome of darkness and flames, creating a symphony of explosions.
'The death element is truly the bane of nature element.' Alex thought, looking toward the dryad using his unique eyes.
