Mind Demon's Path of Domination

Chapter 200: Happy birthday

There was a battlefield in the world, one that not many knew of. Only two kinds of beings were allowed inside that field's hallowed grounds—demons, and angels.

Rain of blood, a river of corpses, or mountains of heads, those were nothing out of the norm in that place. Not to mention, even the weakest creature on that battlefield was said to be a Tier 7 being at the very least.

In that place, millenniums ago, a battle took place. Thousands of giant demons faced their archnemesis, creatures with wings of light, in a battle for survival—a battle of hatred and strength.

There was a very ancient tale about that battle, one that not many remembered in this age. It was about a demonic armor, used to slay all the angels in that great war zone. An armor that slayed thousands upon thousands of Tier 7 beings!

It didn't even need a host to use it, it was alive on its own!

But apparently, a Demigod interfered and destroyed the armor before it could destroy all angels. And then, that armor was thrown into a chaotic space storm and it teleported into one of the trillion worlds randomly.

An armor with a tale told in blood.

That armor, tattered beyond belief, lost all its sentience and power and became scrap metal in the process. It laid dormant in that new world, devoid of any meaning…

The armor had nine major parts, and each of the nine major parts had a unique Magic embedded into it by means only known to great Demons that ruled the mystical battlefield. Nine parts, nine different magic.

Sabatons, the armorial part that protected the foot, had the power of Teleportation. Anywhere it had once stepped on, it could teleport there.

Greaves, the part that protected the lower leg, had the power of Nullification. The armor would gain complete resistance to any ability that has once been blocked by its greaves. Thus, essentially nullifying the ability's value against it.

Tasetts, overlapping plates that protect the upper legs and hips, had the power of Blood Healing. All slain enemies would be absorbed into the armor, healing its wounds.

Cuirass, breastplate and backplate that protect the torso, had the power of the Glass Dome. An invincible defense that could not easily be broken, not to mention the armor's inherent defensive properties.

Gorget, armor for the neck and throat, had the power of Elemental Meld. It could meld with all elements—Water, Fire, Earth, Wood, Metal, and all. When it wanted to hide, apparently, not even the Will of the Worlds could find it.

Pauldrons, shoulder armor, had the power of senses—Eye of Heaven. It was said that the armor had hundreds of eyes all over it and surrounding its immediate atmosphere, making it aware of battle situations from all angles surrounding it.

Gauntlets, armor for the hands and wrists, had the power to create any weapon it wanted. Weapon creation—sword, spear, shield, bow, or arrow—it could create any of it.

Helmet, armor for the head, had the power to regenerate itself. Even if the armor was destroyed, as long as its helmet remained, the armor could be reborn using its own healing abilities.

Then came the Vambrace, the armor for the forearms, which could elevate all of the armor's powers by a minor Tier!

Tier 7 Pinnacle Attacks would be as strong as Tier 8 Low-level!

Teleportation, Nullification, Blood Healing, Glass Dome, Elemental Meld, Eye of Heaven, Weapon Creation, a rebirth if the helmet wasn't broken, and Minor Tier Enhancement.

Those were the nine abilities of the War Slayer Armor!

An armor that once dominated the Profane and Holy war of Angels and Demons for a short while!

Some centuries ago, that armor fell into the Savage World, broken and tattered. The Will of the Heavens, noticing a way to increase the power of its world, began an attempt to clone it by analyzing its workings.

The Will was a powerful being, but even it could not copy the armor in its entirety. The technicality behind it was too… demonic.

It was something made with the help of one of the greatest of all World Wills.

The Will of the Demon World.

How could a random World Will compare to the profanest of all?

Yet, using the slight remaining energy inside the Armor, the Savage World's Will created a thousand and one inferior copies of the armor and created a species using the inferior copies!

And that species was the first one thousand and one Golden Savages.

All of them had the inherent power of the Helmet and Vambrace—the ability of rebirth as long as their mask wasn't broken, and a Minor Tier Enhancement to all their abilities. Using its own World Will powers, it also gave the species the power of reproduction through the exchange of Heart Blood to humans.

But without the remnant energies stolen from the armor, it could not create Golden Savages and was limited to creating Silver Savages. The limit of Golden Savages, in total, was forever to be just…

1001.

The World Wills are indifferent beings, cold and rational. Thus, after seeing no other further use in the armor, it decided to give the armor away to someone it could easily control. In case something that could endanger itself happened, it could use that someone as a shield.

And thus, an armor descended from the heavens to a human.

But to the surprise of the Will, the moment the human wore the armor, the armor started to come to life. It began to absorb all the Heart Blood, its remnant energy, from its inferior copies—the Golden Savages.

It began to grow stronger!

Feeling a threat to its own life, the Will descended upon all Golden Savages at the same time and became a third eye on their foreheads. At the same time, it suppressed the Heart Blood from going towards the armor.

But by doing that, the World Will lost most of its control over the world and became a part of mundane life. It became the informer for the Savages, it became a support for the tribe.

The human who wore the armor, Emperor Samha, woke up one day.

He could use all of the armor's ability, even though it was hidden physically. But the armor wasn't the type to not fight back—it began to absorb Samha himself to heal. Yet, Samha was a man of great spirit and with the help of the World Will, he survived the attack.

But, every hundred years or so, the armor would manage to absorb all his memories and he would turn young again, as if the energy absorbed by the armor was used on himself to heal and turn him young again.

Then, he would start life as a new human or a savage.

But, whenever a Golden Savage died near him, the Armor would manage to absorb the Heart Blood near it. And throughout centuries, more than 60 Gold Lords died near him. The armor, which first only absorbed his memories once every one hundred years, began to do that faster.

Every five decades or so, he would lose all his memories and restart again. He would become a child, become a youth, train, become a warrior, age—restart. He would become a beggar, cry, get sexually abused by other beggars, age and—restart.

He had lived a life of happiness, of sadness, of regret, of guilt, of infamy, of fame.

A life even in the shadows as the Lord of All Savages in this era.

Restart, train, age, restart.

Gain memories, lose memories to the armor, restart.

One day, for some reason, he regained all his memories for a short moment and wrote about his misery on a cave wall with his own blood. Lose memories—restart.

Restart.

Love, restart.

Hate, restart.

And in this era, while he was fighting a demon, it used an ability on him. An ability that made him watch his own life as a dream. And in that dream, he lost himself and in the battle, he died.

For once, finally, he died.

If he were fully conscious, he would have been happy. And in the process, the armor ate all of his memories. Even the old Emperor Samha didn't know how long he had lived, if he had all the memories of all his restarts, he would have gone crazy.

And now, the armor had eaten it all up.

And around it, tens of Golden Savage corpses littered the ground, and all of that energy, the Heart Blood, went into it imperceptibly. And the armor gained sentience.

It hid immediately from the demon using Elemental Meld, melding with the elements.

The demon thought he was extracting Heart Blood as he extracted from all the Gold Lords, but what he extracted was just liquid with a golden tinge. All of the armor's remnant energies had been absorbed into itself.

From all over the world, it teleported Gold Lords towards itself and hid them using Elemental Meld, too. It absorbed them using Blood Healing.

It healed.

Now, it had already eaten 70% of the entire Golden Savage population!

Its hidden Eye of Heaven was all over the place, looking at everything, aware of everything. Its years of memories made it wise and ruthless, and in just some minutes, it could clench its hands freely. In some more minutes, it could stand up.

And soon enough, it was in a form to go for a small fight.

An armor stood, invisible from all eyes—even of the World Will itself—and raised its hand up. It touched its face and released a long-suffering sigh.

The world itself dimmed slightly.

Demons, humans, savages, Mark himself, felt a profound sense of foreboding as the creature took a deep breath in. Aura, so ominous it could suffocate anyone who felt it, seemed to have crushed the whole world underneath its foot.

"Happy birthday," it said, two black lights lighting up inside its eyeholes.
