Chapter 89: Natasha needs help
Chapter 89: Natasha needs help
Perhaps the coming days will not be so bad.
Bella stretched out her hands to grab the fluffy toy, lay on the bed, and buried her face in it.
Thinking of something, she stood up, walked to the window, and through it saw the muscle RV parked in front of the house. Coincidentally, she also saw the boy sitting quietly on the sofa in front of the RV window under the bright light, looking at a notebook.
The drizzle kept falling, making her vision somewhat blurry. She could only vaguely see the boy's profile, but for some reason, it made Bella's heart tremble involuntarily.
She didn't understand why her heart seemed to beat faster.
She didn't know why, but at that moment, the boy exuded a mysterious aura that made her want to explore his secrets.
She thought for a moment, hesitated for a while, then went to the living room, took a tomato from the refrigerator, put it in the juicer, and made a glass of tomato juice. However, she seemed to remember something, so she first carried the glass of freshly made tomato juice and knocked on her father Charlie's door.
The door opened quickly, revealing her daughter holding a glass of bright juice. Before Charlie could speak, she handed over the glass with both hands.
"You seem to have had a lot to drink. Drinking some tomato juice will do you good."
"Thank you."
Charlie was very pleased. Even though he knew he hadn't drunk much, he still enjoyed his daughter's care. He took the glass and drank it in one go.
"That boy?"
After drinking, he thought of Bi Xiao, the boy he admired, who also seemed to have drunk quite a bit.
Bella's heart skipped a beat. Keeping her composure, she said, "I only made one glass. I'll make another one to take to Bi Xiao."
"Okay." Charlie's mood improved even more, knowing that he was the priority.
Bella took the empty glass from Charlie and went to the kitchen. She prepared another glass and made a fresh tomato juice. Then she opened the door and went to the RV, knocking on the door.
Inside the RV, Bi Xiao was watching a TV show. Hearing the knock, he walked over and opened the door, seeing Bella standing with the tomato juice.
"Hey."
Bella greeted first, a bit shyly holding the glass. "I noticed you seemed to have had a lot to drink, so I made you some tomato juice. It can help speed up alcohol breakdown and metabolism."
"Thank you, Bella."
Bi Xiao took the glass and invited Bella, "Would you like to come in and sit?"
"Can I?"
"Of course, no one would refuse a beautiful girl."
Bella's heart skipped again. Maybe it was natural shyness, but she didn't feel her face flush. She stepped on the stairs, and Bi Xiao gentlemanly extended his hand. Bella was slightly startled but casually took his hand and went up.
"Are you watching Friends?"
As soon as Bella entered the RV, she noticed the scene on the laptop on the table.
"Yeah, it's a good show."
In fact, Bi Xiao could only watch some comedies. Action, fantasy, and crime dramas no longer held much attraction for him. They all seemed like childish fights, and the special effects of this era were not impressive. As for the mystery dramas he used to like, he couldn't watch them anymore.
Usually, his super-intelligent brain would figure out all the answers early on unless the plot twists were particularly abrupt and bizarre, beyond his expectations.
So, comedy was the only thing that could bring some laughter.
"It is indeed very good. I also like Friends."
Bella awkwardly said, then looked at the tall, handsome Bi Xiao in front of her. For some reason, she blurted out, "Tomorrow, if you plan to look around nearby, can you take me with you?"
Bi Xiao raised his eyebrows at this, looking at Bella's somewhat clumsy appearance, and smiled, "If Charlie agrees."
"I won't start school for a few more days. I think he will agree. Well, I won't bother you anymore. I'll go back now. Have a good rest. Bye~~"
Feeling more and more embarrassed by her impulsiveness, Bella hurriedly said and quickly opened the door to leave.
Bi Xiao watched as Bella rushed back home, a smile flashing in his eyes. He wasn't insensitive. Although he had largely shut down his senses during his travels, he was naturally excellent at capturing emotions and could see that Bella had developed a fondness for him.
Her personality, appearance, and figure were quite to his taste.
If something could develop, he wouldn't mind.
Shaking his head, just as he was about to close the door, he saw two familiar figures approaching.
"Long time no see, Shaw."
A mature, hoarse voice, a charming face, wearing a red coat and holding an umbrella, with wine-red hair, it was none other than the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Natasha he hadn't seen for a long time. Beside her was a sturdy man in a black coat, with a sharp, hawk-like gaze.
"Clint Barton, he is my friend and comrade from the agency."
Seeing Bi Xiao's eyes sweep over the man beside her, Natasha took the initiative to introduce him.
The three stood in front of the RV, and Bi Xiao looked at Natasha, "Coincidence, or on purpose?"
"We are here to ask for your help, Shaw. We have encountered some inexplicable events and need a professional's assistance, so..." Natasha explained.
"I can see you are being targeted."
Bi Xiao scanned Natasha and Barton. He could see a faint evil black aura around them, which he was very familiar with—it came from demons.
"If it weren't absolutely necessary, believe me, Shaw, we wouldn't disturb your trip. I'm sorry, but that small town may need your help."
Natasha said helplessly.
She really didn't want to disturb Bi Xiao. She and Barton were on a mission in a nearby town and encountered some incomprehensible events. So she contacted the agency for support but didn't expect the director to say that Bi Xiao was also nearby and could help.
She took out her phone, opened it, and showed a picture to Bi Xiao.
