Chapter 301: Divinity.
Chapter 301: Divinity.
1 week later.
*Bam!*
*Smack!*
Grandmaster Fang with his beautiful yellow eyes looked at the scene in front of him with slight smile, filled with fascination. He was currently standing in the doorway, which leads to the dojo, and currently, the dojo was occupied by single person.
A black-haired young man was striking a padded striking pole with his upper body naked. His gaze was only locked at the striking pole in front of him, with his fist every now and then, striking it powerfully.
Every now and then, he stopped hitting with his fist and used his elbows, kicks, knee attacks, making the scene looked mesmerizing to look at.
Grandmaster Fang rubbed his chin, which would have made him look like Sage of Wisdom if he had beard.
Outside the dojo, the courtyard was bustling with young men and women training without any rest, but they still heard clearly the powerful noises coming from dojo and they can only wonder how powerful attack needed to be to cause such noise.
One of people in training was a blond-haired young man, Len.
After his crushing defeat, he started focusing more on improving his techniques to whole new level.
He received instructions from both Abyss and Grandmaster Fang, and he knew what he needed.
Speed!
Hearing the sound coming from dojo only made him more motivated and slowly, his attacks started increasing in speed!
Abyss was instructing a pale-looking young man who was hitting air in front of him with body drenched in sweat.
''Faster.'' Abyss said simply.
''Ahhh… Haaahhh… Huff…'' Aether gritted his teeth and pushed his body to limits. His fists started increasing in speed, but Abyss still didn't seem satisfied.
Shaking his head, he used the wooden stick on his hand to strike Aether's shinbone, causing a sound of flesh getting smacked to appear.
''Argh!'' Aether almost kneeled out of pain, but he uttered rest of his willpower to keep standing.
Abyss sighed and after seeing Aether's movements become sluggish, he said, ''That's enough.''
After hearing those words, Aether fell down on his knees with rough breathing, trying to catch his breathing.
''I think we are done here, I will get Ichiro, it's time to leave.'' Abyss said and started walking towards the dojo.
Aether looked towards his father and felt him being different than before. He usually jokes around and looks sadistic while training him, but now, he looked serious, like it wasn't time for jokes.
Abyss stopped next to Grandmaster Fang, who seemed to be expecting him.
''How is young Aether?'' Fang asked with a small smile.
Abyss shook his head, ''Young, weak, I am not sure will he grow enough in time.''
''What's wrong?'' Fang asked, seeing Abyss' serious look, he had a hunch what was happening.
*Snap*
Abyss using his thumb and middle finger started snapping his fingers in rhythmic manner. It was something that made him relax and calm his thoughts.
Fang waited patiently, until Abyss stopped snapping his fingers and answered, ''Island of Death has movements… First estimation that it will take 10 years to break through barriers was inaccurate, it will happen soon, way too soon.''
Fang sighed, ''But not soon enough, right?''
Abyss clenched his fist and nodded, ''When they will attack… I will be old, way too old. I can feel it, my divinity is leaving me… I spent my whole life trying to gather enough divinity to take one final step to reach Martial Divinity Realm… In the end, I wasn't successful and my gathered divinity are almost gone.''
Fang's face looked pained as he knew what was happening, ''How long…''
Aether crossed his arms and leaned on the door. He watched the black-haired young man hitting the striking pole.
''Tomorrow… Tomorrow rest of my divinity is gone… After today, there won't be any more Half-Divinity's on the world.'' Abyss sighed and entered the dojo.
Fang watched as Abyss walked towards Ichiro.
He clenched his fists and wiped the teardrops that was about to start trickling down.
''No more Martial Half-Divinity… Who would be the one to take his spot as Humanity's Hope…'' Fang felt like the future was going on unknown direction.
Abyss has been in top of the hierarchy for over 10 years by now, but that will soon come to an end.
Underworld was especially looking forward to that day.
Ichiro's face was drenched in fist as his strong fist struck the padded part of the striking pole.
He was about to reel in his fist, but then he felt a hand on his shoulder.
Turning his head, he saw Abyss looking at him with serious look.
''What is it?'' Ichiro asked.
''Time to leave.'' Abyss said and removed his hand and looked at the striking pole.
''Oh, already.'' Ichiro grabbed an towel from the floor and wiped the sweatdrops from his face and body.
''Yes…'' Abyss put his hand forwards and touched the wooden part of the striking pole, with only his index finger, he tapped it, but that alone cracked the wooden striking pole!
Ichiro looked at the scene with disbelief, ''Strong…''
Abyss heard his words, but instead of feeling proud, he felt sadness.
''Ichiro, I know you are young, but how would you feel if you spent your whole life trying to reach a goal, only to get robbed by old age?''
'Is he talking about his strength slowly leaving him?' Ichiro thought and wiped rest of the sweat before replying, ''I would be… Sad and angry, but I would also know the limitations of humans.''
''Limitations of humans…'' Abyss sighed and felt like Ichiro's words were true.
Way too many limitations.
Without those limitations.
He wouldn't have become weaker, instead stronger!
''Are you alright?'' Ichiro asked.
Abyss sighed and nodded, ''I am fine.'' With those words, he left the dojo to pack up his things.
Ichiro felt like something was wrong with him. Even though he doesn't show it, he respects Abyss.
After all, he resembles him a lot.
Since he was young, Abyss has trained without taking breaks and trained all the way to the top.
Just like him.
Also, he has never met someone as strong as Abyss and even in previous life, he wouldn't have hold a candle to Abyss.
Abyss removed his Power Limit Remover and earned divinity.
But, he couldn't remove his limits of humanity and become Godly figure.
