Chapter 492: Chapter 492 - A Valuable Item from Elaine

Broken and Ivana, accompanied by Cedric and Cecilia, finally made their way to the residence of the Tribe Leader, Elaine. As they approached the village of the Moonlight Fae, they were immediately captivated by the breathtaking sight before them. In the heart of the forest, a clearing revealed a village of small stone buildings, each one draped in lush green vines, giving the entire place a mystical, ancient feel.

As they walked through the village, Broken and Ivana noticed faeries emerging from their homes, curiously watching the newcomers. He couldn't help but observe that all the faeries had the appearance of children, making it difficult to distinguish between adults and real children.

"How do they view other races with adult appearances?" He thought, finding the concept fascinating.

Despite their childlike appearance, the faeries were unlike any Broken had seen. They bore a striking resemblance to elves, with their delicate features and pointed ears. It reminded him of Nimue, Elowen's younger sister, who also looked like she was in her teenage years despite being much older. If she were among these faeries, he mused, it would be nearly impossible to tell her apart from them.

"Could they be connected somehow?" he wondered, intrigued by the possibility.

The similarities between the faeries and elves sparked his curiosity even more. Were they perhaps from a shared origin, or was it simply a coincidental resemblance?

"Hi everyone!" Cedric said cheerfully, escorting Broken and Ivana. "This is Mr. Broken and Ms. Ivana. They're our saviors, hahaha."

A few faeries murmured, "Hi, Mr. Broken."

Another added, "Nice to meet you."

The group collectively welcomed them. "Welcome to our land."

"Please come visit us! We have fruits for you," one faerie offered with enthusiasm.

Broken waved back to the faeries but remained quiet, giving only a small, polite smile. He wasn't much for words, especially in such situations. Meanwhile, Ivana was far more engaged, waving her hand and responding to each faerie who greeted her.

"Hi! Thanks, yes, I'm happy to be here."

"Yes, the land is beautiful-the forest, the lake, I love it!"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Of course, I'll visit later. It's great to meet all of you."

"Thank you for welcoming us," she added with a warm smile.

"Hi, yes, I'll visit later, and we can play together, okay?" Ivana responded warmly to nearly every faerie that greeted her.

She continued to respond enthusiastically, her warm and genuine energy encouraging the faeries to come out of their shells even more.

Ivana's kindness and open demeanor had always been her strength, and it was clear that bringing Ivana along was the best choice in any situation. Her ability to effortlessly blend in with others and her ever-positive attitude made her an invaluable companion, especially in tough times.

While Broken had always believed that being too kind could lead to being taken advantage of, Ivana seemed to prove the opposite. She had genuinely earned the kindness that others returned to her. It was obvious that her sincerity wasn't just for show-she truly cared for everyone, even people she'd just met.

He couldn't help but chuckle, recalling the time Ivana had sacrificed her own level to help Elowen, someone she had only known for a few minutes. Her selflessness had been remarkable, and in the end, Elowen and her group had joined Slumdon. That had been a huge blessing for the city, all thanks to Ivana's kindness.

Broken smiled to himself, knowing that her presence was always a positive influence, and that her compassion had brought more good than he had ever expected.

They continued their journey, approaching the most grandiose building in the village. Standing guard at the entrance were four faeries, each holding a different weapon: one with a sword and shield, another with a bow, the third wielding a sword, and the last carrying a magic staff.

"Greetings, Moonlight Knights!" Cedric called out. "I've brought a guest of honor to meet Lady Elaine."

The faerie knights looked at them with guarded expressions. Unlike the welcoming demeanor of the other faeries, there was no warmth in their eyes. They were serious, vigilant.

"Lady Elaine is expecting you," one of the knights said. "This way, please."

With that, they were granted permission to pass through the door and into the chamber where Lady Elaine awaited them.

As Broken passed by the knights, he couldn't help but notice their levels-clearly high and formidable, all of them are above level 200. It was evident these Moonlight Knights were the core strength of the faeries, much like Morel, who also had an impressive level.

So far, Broken had only encountered five of these knights, but he suspected there were more. After all, they would need significant strength to protect their tribe, especially with the curse that had plagued them for so long.

He made a mental note to keep an eye on their strength and organization, wondering how many more of these elite faerie knights there might be.

In a grand room resembling a throne chamber, the faery girl Elaine gracefully descended from her throne the moment she noticed Broken and Ivana's presence. Her every movement was poised, and she carried an air of serenity that immediately drew their attention.

"It is my utmost pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you both in Moonlight Land," Elaine said with impeccable politeness, her delicate appearance seemingly that of a fifteen-year- old-doing nothing to diminish the weight of her words. There was a regal aura about her despite her youthful looks.

"I am the Tribe Leader of the Moonlight Fae, Elaine," she continued, her voice calm and soothing. "I sincerely hope that both of you will find your stay here as comfortable and pleasant as possible."

Broken responded, "My name is Broken, and this is my friend, Ivana. We are grateful for your welcome, though I must say, the way you invite guests is quite hazardous and, frankly, irresponsible."

Elaine bowed once more, as she spoke in her gentle, refined tone. "Once again, I apologize for any distress you may have experienced. It was never our intention to cause you harm. As a token of my apology, I have prepared a gift for you," she said.

Her demeanor remained elegant and sincere, and despite his pointed remark, Elaine radiated a sense of genuine hospitality.

At that moment, a faery girl approached from the far end of the room, carrying a folded cloth in her hands. She gracefully handed the object to Elaine, who smiled warmly and turned to

Broken.

"I present this item to you as an apology for any distress we may have caused and as a token of my deep gratitude for your willingness to visit our home, the Moonlight Land," Elaine said,

her voice gentle.

Broken lowered his head slightly, his eyes fixed on the delicate fabric. The cloth was incredibly thin, almost transparent, and shimmered under the soft light, radiating a gentle green hue that seemed to shift with every movement.

As he accepted the item from Elaine's hands, he finally realized what it was.

"A cape?" he whispered.
