Chapter 450: Chapter 450 - Heavy Slam Skill Scroll
Chapter 450: Chapter 450 - Heavy Slam Skill Scroll
Broken couldn't find anything in the current Reputation Shop that could cancel an NPC's talent. He sighed, hoping that with future updates to the shop, such an item might eventually be available.
After making sure Mortar was alright-well, not exactly alright, but managing his strange new quirks-Broken suggested he go home and rest. Sometimes, sneezing fits are just a sign you need more sleep or something like that. Though, in Mortar's case, rest probably wasn't going to help much.
Freya sighed, feeling a bit guilty. "I'll keep an eye on him for the next few days. I feel like this is my fault."
They continued walking as Broken opened the Reputation Shop.

Freya raised an eyebrow. "Did you really just spend all your Reputation Points?"
"Yeah... I'm curious to see what I'll get this time. Let's hope I don't get something ridiculous again," he said excitedly. "I have two Rare Talents, and four Advanced Skills! What could go wrong?"
[Activating the Talent Scroll (Rare)]
[Randomizing the result...]
[You have obtained 1 Spell-shaper Talent Scroll.]
[Spell-shaper: Customizes existing spells, altering their effects and improving their efficiency.]
"Good?"
"Yes, Spell-shaper is exactly like the talent Nimue, Elowen's sister, has."
Freya giggled. "Ah, I see! It seems like the Rare grade talents are actually pretty useful." Broken paused for a moment, thinking about who to give the talent to, but decided to move on and open the rest of the scrolls he had purchased. Excitement buzzed through him as he prepared to see what else he'd get.
[You have obtained 1 Giant's Strength Talent Scroll.]
[Giant's Strength: Possesses exceptional physical strength, allowing for feats of incredible force.]
"Woah... Giant's Strength!" Broken exclaimed. "This one looks really useful too."
"Yes, I can imagine giving that talent to one of your knights," Freya said with a grin.
"Exactly, and the Spell-shaper could also be useful for them. Both talents I got are really valuable."
Freya chuckled. "I think this Reputation Shop is pretty amazing, Broken."
"Yeah, now I want to collect as many Reputation Points as possible and clear out the entire shop, hahaha."
"Don't forget, you have an expedition coming up soon," Freya reminded him, nudging him playfully. "Besides, you can still earn Reputation Points even when you're not in the city." "True," he nodded. "It's like passive income-Reputation Points accumulate as long as I'm in good standing with the townspeople."
[Activating the Skill Scroll (Skill)]
[Randomizing the result...]
[You have obtained 1 Charge Attack Skill Scroll.]
[Charge Attack: A powerful attack that charges up and unleashes a devastating blow. Deals high damage to an enemy target.]
[Skill Requirement: Sword User]
"Ah..." Broken nodded slowly. "So, the skill scrolls give more straightforward abilities like this."
"Yes, Charge Attack is an extremely useful skill for melee fighters," Freya agreed.
"Definitely, I have a similar skill myself," Broken said with a grin.
"I'm sure the knights will be thrilled to hear about this. Everything you've obtained seems perfect for them."
"I think so too," Broken replied.
[You have obtained 1 Arrow Barrage Skill Scroll.]
[Arrow Barrage: Shoot a barrage of arrows in a line in front of the user, dealing moderate damage to enemies in its path.]
[Skill Requirement: Bow User]
The skill scrolls didn't provide specific details such as damage output, Mana usage, or cooldown times. However, the descriptions alone gave enough insight into their potential. After all, having more skills for NPCs would only be beneficial, as long as the skill matched their weapon type. If a skill turned out to be less effective, the NPCs could simply ignore it or train it further to level it up.
Sometimes, a skill's true potential only became apparent after it leveled up several times. Broken had experienced this first hand with his Sword Skill from the Super Novice Class. At level 1, the skill seemed ordinary, but as it leveled up, its impact grew tremendously. This was likely because the skill belonged to a Unique-grade class, which inherently had vast potential. At level 1, it was likely balanced to match the player's abilities at the time. Broken realized that these new skills, given time and practice, could become just as powerful for his knights and other NPCs. It was all about investing in their growth.
[You have obtained 1 Heavy Slam Skill Scroll.]
[Heavy Slam: Allows the greatsword user to slam their weapon into the ground and cause a shockwave. Deals massive damage to enemies in a large area.]
[Skill Requirement: Greatsword User]
"Another great skill for a Greatsword user!" Broken thought, immediately recalling Anna, the knight whose haircut, hair color, and demeanor reminded him so much of Lily. He wondered how much she and the other knights had progressed lately.
It had been a while since he'd last spoken with his knights, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to check in on them and see how their preparations were going for the upcoming
expedition.
Considering they were being trained directly by Maylock, Broken felt confident that they were in good hands. After all, Maylock's perfectionist tendencies ensured that the knights would be more than ready for any challenge ahead.
[You have obtained 1 Sword Dance Skill Scroll.]
[Sword Dance: The user can perform a flurry of slashes with both swords, dealing continuous
damage to the target.]
[Skill Requirement: Dual Sword User]
Broken finally finished opening the remaining skill scrolls, and to his surprise, every single
one of them turned out to be useful! A wave of satisfaction washed over him as he reviewed
the results.
"Well, that was definitely worth it," he muttered to himself.
Although the skills seemed ordinary for a player-abilities like Charge Attack or Arrow Barrage were common among players-these would be a significant upgrade for the NPCS who didn't yet possess them. Giving these skills to his knights would boost their capabilities
tremendously.
What made Broken feel especially lucky was that all the talents and skills he received were combat-focused. This was exactly what he had hoped for, as he planned to strengthen his knights for the upcoming expedition to Wildwood Forest. With combat upgrades, they would
be far better prepared.
With the combat-focused talents and skills he'd acquired, the knights would be much more effective in battle. He also planned to take Ivana with him, ensuring that the expedition would be well-protected with a strong group of NPCs working together. Broken proudly showed Freya all the talents and skills he had obtained from the scrolls.
"What do you think?"
Freya scanned through the list for a moment before nodding confidently. "Very good. Every scroll you've gotten is really impressive."
She then pointed to one of the talents. "This one is perfect for Igor, and this one would be
great for Damir."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Shall we go and meet them?"
"Let's go," Freya agreed with a smile.
