Chapter 446: - The Lovers

Broken selected The Emperor card, and as he grasped it, the transparent card transformed into a tangible object he could feel in his hand.

"You sure have a lot of self-confidence, huh?" Freya teased with a smirk.

[Congratulations! You have chosen The Emperor Card, and as a reward, you receive a picture of yourself in the Nature Spirit Emperor costume. How majestic! You will look like a real ruler of your own kingdom. Everyone will bow down to you in awe!]

The card's image shifted, with Broken's face now replacing the original figure on the card. The card then grew in size, becoming a large framed photo of Broken dressed as the Nature Spirit Emperor, looking regal and commanding.

Broken sighed as he stared at the photo in his hands. "I was hoping for something a bit more extraordinary than this, but... it's not bad."

Freya giggled. "Honestly, it's pretty amazing! You actually look great in that costume, Broken."

"Thanks. I appreciate the compliment!"

Freya added playfully, "You should hang it up on the wall and show it off to everyone."

"Good suggestion," he replied, though he sighed again.

Placing the photo on the table, Broken turned to Yara. "Yara, can you put this somewhere?"

"Yes, My Lord," Yara bowed politely, taking the photo.

Broken stood and turned to Freya. "I'm planning to take a walk around town. Would you like to come with me?" he asked.

Eagerly, Freya replied, "Can Yara tell my fortune too?"

He smiled. "If she's willing, why not?"

"Then, I want to hear her prediction before I follow you," Freya said, excited.

Yara hesitated for a moment, then looked at Broken. "My Lord... am I allowed to read fortunes for others?"

"Make sure it doesn't drain your energy," Broken said, "but let's keep it limited to those who live in the House of Slumdon, alright?"

Yara smiled and nodded. Broken, curious about Freya's reading, sat back down.

"Why are you still here?"

"Hey, this is my house. I have the right to sit here and watch your fortune unfold," he chuckled.

"No!" she protested.

"Yes!" he retorted.

"No! No! No!"

"Yes! Yes! Yes!"

Yara watched them, her head turning from one to the other as they bickered, looking increasingly confused. After a few moments, Freya sighed and gave in.

"Okay, fine, but don't tease me or make any comments!" Freya warned, pointing a finger at Broken.

"Alright..." he said with a mischievous grin.

Yara stood up and picked up the photo of Broken. "My Lord, may I put this away for now?" "Yes, sure," Broken replied.

Yara walked off, disappearing for a moment. When she returned, she carried a ladder and began hanging the picture in the living room.

Freya giggled, watching her work. "I think that's the perfect spot for your picture, Broken." "Shut up," he muttered as he stood and walked over. "Yara, let me help you with that."

"No, My Lord, I can handle it," she insisted, carefully placing the photo at just the right height. After a few moments, she stepped down from the ladder and smiled at Broken. "Is this a good spot, My Lord?"

"Yes, it's good," Broken nodded, satisfied.

They returned to the sofa, ready to continue with Yara's fortune reading for Freya.

Yara began shuffling the tarot cards again, then laid them on the table with a smile before turning to Freya.

"Ms. Freya, please pick any three cards at random," she said.

Freya, excited, grinned and asked, "Yara, can I pick the three cards, but you reveal them one at

a time? Like, open one, read it, and then move to the next instead of opening all three at

once?"

"Yes, Ms. Freya, that's perfectly fine."

Freya nodded eagerly, running her fingers over the surface of the cards, as if searching for just the right ones. She selected her first card and set it aside, then repeated the process until she had chosen three in total.

Broken, watching, remarked with a smirk, "I don't think that changes anything. You're just doing the same thing I did."

Freya shushed him with a playful grin. "Ssshhh!"

Yara glanced at Freya for confirmation, and when she nodded, Yara revealed the first card. The image depicted two figures, a man and a woman, embracing, with the word "The Lovers" written beneath them.

"Woah... is this about romance?" Freya asked, her eyes lighting up with excitement.

Yara paused for a moment before nodding gently. "I will read it for you, Ms. Freya. This card speaks of strong bonds and deep connections that transcend time. It suggests that there is someone in your life whose soul is intertwined with yours. The path ahead involves unity, and the choices you make together will shape your future. It's important to recognize and nurture these connections, as they carry significant importance."

She paused again, her voice softening. "This card also encourages you to be true to your heart. The decisions you make regarding this bond should come from a place of honesty and sincerity. Don't let hesitation hold you back-embrace what you truly feel inside."

Broken furrowed his brow at the reading. "Have you ever had a romance in this game, Freya?" Freya nudged him with her elbow. "No!" she huffed, but then she looked confused. "Wait... Yara, can you explain it in simpler terms? Something more clear?"

"I'm sorry, Ms. Freya. That's the best interpretation I can offer."

Freya frowned, still puzzled. "So... someone in my life whose soul is intertwined with mine?

What does that even mean?"

Broken chimed in, "Maybe you made a contract with someone in the game?"

Freya shook her head. "That doesn't explain it well."

Freya fell silent for a moment, appearing deep in thought. Broken let her have that space,

watching quietly. After a few seconds, she nodded slowly.

"For some reason, this prediction feels like it really hits home for me. But... this is supposed

to be about things in the game, right?" she seemed to be asking herself.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"I'm not sure either. Do you feel like it relates to something outside the game?" Broken

asked.

Freya turned to him, and when he met her gaze, he asked, "What?"

"No," she shook her head, then took a deep breath.

After a few moments of reflection, she quietly repeated Yara's words. "I need to be true to my

heart?"

Yara, noticing Freya's hesitation, asked gently, "Is there anything more you'd like to ask, Ms.

Freya?"

Freya smiled again. "No, that's enough, Yara. Let's see the next card."

Yara nodded and revealed the second card.
