Chapter 428: - Activating Demon Pact

Broken logged back into the game, finding himself in the guest room of the palace. For a moment, he let himself sink into the opulence of the grand bed, daydreaming about how incredible it would be to have something like this in real life. But then reality hit-space in the real world was costly, and a bedroom of this size would easily cost a fortune.

After a while, there was a knock at the door. "What's that?" he wondered.

Upon giving permission to enter, three people stepped in-one male maid, and two females. They bowed to him.

The male maid said, "Baron Broken, we apologize for the interruption, but Her Highness has requested your presence in her chamber if you're available. However, we can offer you a meal and a bath first, and the two maids will assist you during your bath."

Wait, what? Broken blinked, trying to process what the maid had just said-two maids to accompany him while bathing? Was that really part of the royal guest service?

Still, his curiosity was more focused on why Princess Alora had summoned him. Could it be that the egg had finally hatched? After all, about two days had passed in Yunatea's time since his last visit. Deciding not to delay, he chose to head straight to Princess Alora's chamber instead.

Two knights stood guard outside the grand doors leading to Alora's chamber. As soon as they saw him approach, they immediately allowed him to pass. The large doors swung open, and Broken stepped inside, finding Princess Alora sitting on her bed. Beside her was something small resting on the covers.

It wasn't the demon egg anymore. No, it was the creature that had hatched from it.

"Hi, Broken! Come, look at this cute little kitten that just hatched," she said with a smile, waving him over.

Broken walked closer and saw what looked like a little kitten, but with two tiny horns protruding from its head. The creature was lazily sprawled out, while Alora gently stroked its head.

[Congratulations, Broken, for successfully hatching a Legendary-grade Demon Egg: Felhorn.]

[For this achievement, you have earned the title "Master of the Abyssal Bond."]

[You have received 20 stat points.]

[Additionally, you have been rewarded with the skill "Demon Pact: Felhorn," which allows you to form a powerful bond with the demon beast.]

[Skill Description: "Demon Pact: Felhorn" is a one-time-use skill that permanently binds you to the demon that hatches from the Felhorn egg.

This skill allows the contracted demon to be stored in a unique dimensional space, exclusive to the bond shared between you and the Felhorn.

While in this space, the demon regenerates Health, Mana, and Stamina at an accelerated rate. The dimensional storage not only keeps your demon beast safe, but also enables you to summon it instantly to your side in combat or for exploration.]

[Additional Benefits:]n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

[Battle Synchronization: The demon's stats increase based on your current stat distribution, meaning the stronger you become, the stronger the Felhorn becomes.]

[Shared Senses: You can partially see and hear through the Felhorn when it's summoned, enhancing your battlefield awareness or scouting abilities.]

[Natural Affinity: Through your connection with the Felhorn, you have developed a natural affinity with it. Your current affinity is set to 56%, which affects the creature's responsiveness to your commands and its emotional connection with you. As your affinity increases, the bond will strengthen, allowing for more powerful joint abilities and deeper synchronization.] [Growth of the Bond: The bond grows stronger with time and shared experiences, allowing the Felhorn to unlock new abilities as it levels up alongside you.]

Alora smiled and glanced at Broken. "Come here," she said, patting the spot beside her on the bed, signaling for him to sit.

Broken smiled and took a seat, keeping a polite distance from the princess.

"Did it hatch long ago, Princess?"

Alora nodded. "About a day after you left," she replied with a soft smile. "This little one loves to sleep. It only wakes up occasionally to look around, then dozes off again."

Broken chuckled as he observed the creature. It really did look like a kitten-not quite a baby, but a small, adorable little thing.

Broken had just earned a new title after successfully hatching the demon egg, along with a new skill to form a contract with the demon beast. However, his curiosity remained. He wondered what level the demon beast might be and what skills it possessed, especially considering it had consumed various things-including that time it devoured Gremory. "What's its gender, Princess?"

Alora looked up and giggled. "It's a male."

Broken turned his attention back to the demon beast. The kitten slowly opened its eyes, lifting its head, which seemed a bit too large for its tiny body. Those big, round eyes scanned the room before finally locking onto Broken.

"You're the one who gave me Mana," it said.

Wait? He blinked. The little demon could actually talk, and it didn't even end its sentence with a playful "meow."

"See, the kitten's finally awake," Alora said with a smile, she then turned to the kitten. "He's the one I told you about. He's the one who brought you to Hell and supplied you with so many

things."

The little kitten kept staring at Broken, then glanced back at Princess Alora.

"Oh... I'm so happy, I guess," it said in a soft voice.

"Why add 'I guess' at the end?" Broken responded.

"Both of you have pure, rich Mana... I like it," the kitten said. "She's the crowned princess of the human kingdom, even though she's half-elf. And you..." it turned its gaze back to Broken. "What are you? You seem... strange."

"People here call us Players. Think of us as beings from another world who've come to this one," Broken explained.

"Oh, like us... who came from Hell?" the kitten replied, tilting its head slightly.

"I'm surprised you know so much about this world but not about us, the players."

The little kitten let out a long yawn. "I should form a contract with you, right?" it asked.

Broken nodded. "But you're just hatched, right? It can wait."

"The contract will actually benefit me too," the kitten replied. "I can grow stronger and faster with it, so the sooner we do it, the better." The kitten paused for a moment before continuing. "And, since you two were the biggest providers of Mana while I was in the egg, my contract with you will also affect her."

"Does that have to do with a skill you possess?" Broken asked. "Because in the skill I received to form a contract, nothing was mentioned about it involving her."

"Yes..." the kitten muttered, looking sleepy again. "It's better if you two get along, since I'll be helping both of you. A strong bond between you will only benefit me."

Alora giggled at the kitten's words. "Don't worry, Broken is reliable and brave. Quite the type I prefer, really, so I'm sure he won't disappoint you, little kitten." "That's so strange," the kitten replied. "Being called 'little kitten' when I'm the supreme Legendary Felhorn, destined to rule both Hell and Yunatea. But I can tolerate it... since it's you who's saying it, Princess."

"That's quite an ambitious goal," Alora mused. "But I suppose having big goals isn't a bad

thing."

The kitten remained silent at Alora's words, its large eyes now fixed on Broken. "Now, Broken, let's proceed with the contract."

Broken raised an eyebrow, noticing the difference. The demon called Alora "Princess," but

referred to him by name. Interesting. Still, as long as the demon proved useful to both him

and Alora, he didn't mind.
