Chapter 425: - Would you like the sword for yourself?

Broken and Princess Alora stepped into the blacksmith workshop, and as expected, it was much busier than usual. Word of Broken's arrival had spread quickly, and the workshop was filled with eager anticipation. The blacksmiths, while still working, paused briefly, standing as if to greet someone of great importance.

"I heard you've all been missing Baron Broken. Well, here he is," Princess Alora announced, her words met with a cheer from the blacksmiths.

Each of them voiced their excitement.

"Baron Broken, I've heard Slumdon has improved a lot. I'd love to visit the city someday."

"Everyone will be welcome to work in Slumdon once Baron Broken has finished building it," Princess Alora added.

Broken turned to her. "Are you serious, Princess?"

"Well, you could inspire them to create even better equipment, and that would benefit the kingdom too. So yes, I'm serious."

"Baron Broken, is it true that you'll be making a sword for Her Highness?" a few of them asked.

"Yes, it just needs the finishing touch."

Princess Alora chimed in, "But unfortunately, you won't be able to watch," she added with a smile before guiding Broken to another part of the workshop.

All eyes followed as Broken and Princess Alora made their way toward the staircase leading to the second floor. It was a private area, more spacious and enclosed, though the balcony opened up to the outside. This place had been set aside specifically for Broken by Princess Alora.

The blacksmiths watching from afar couldn't help but voice their disappointment.

"I've been waiting so long to see Baron Broken work again. Looks like that hope's gone."

"And to think, he's making a sword for Princess Alora! I can only imagine how incredible that sword will be."

"I wonder if he'll craft another Unique-grade item... I would've loved to witness that kind of masterpiece."

By the time Broken and Princess Alora reached the room, the workstation was neatly arranged, and everything there looked brand new.

"I'm not trying to make you stay here long," Alora said. "But whenever you're in the capital, you know this place is yours."

Broken smiled, clearly pleased with the room's setup. The space had large doors that could open wide, revealing a spacious balcony lined with plants and flowers. He couldn't help but wonder if the heat and smoke from the forge wouldn't cause the flowers to wither.

"They're special plants," Princess Alora said, almost as if reading his mind. "The more heat they get, the better they grow."

"I wonder if I can take some of these seeds back to Slumdon, Princess?" Broken mused. "Well, you've certainly gotten bold with your requests," she teased. "But fine, I'll deduct it from your blacksmithing fee later."

"I guess that's fair, as long as you don't replace all my payment with seeds, Princess..." "That depends on the results, doesn't it? I didn't realize you were so confident. Are you sure this sword will be enough to satisfy me?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Confidence comes from experience, Princess. And yes, I'm pretty sure I can deliver," he replied with a grin.

Broken took his seat, settling in the workspace as Princess Alora and Knight Mercy stood nearby. He pulled out the Cragstorm Sword from his inventory, now only needing its finishing touches.

Princess Alora stepped closer to him, and Broken couldn't help but notice her elegant dress, which seemed out of place so close to the forge's heat and flying sparks.

"Are you sure you want to get that close with your dress, Princess?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I could hold burning coals and pour them over myself, and you'd have no right to stop me," she said casually.

Broken chuckled. "Well, my apologies, Princess. I forgot you're used to being on the frontlines of the battlefield."

Alora giggled softly, her eyes drawn to the sword. "It looks beautiful already, even though it's not finished."

Broken smiled and nodded. "You'll see the final result in just a few minutes. It only needs the finishing touches."

Alora nodded, watching intently as Broken prepared himself.

"And what about the other items I sent you the blueprints for?"

Broken smiled as he began to explain. "The results were excellent, Princess. One came out as Unique-grade, and the other... Legendary-grade."

Alora's eyes widened in surprise, as did Mercy's, who stood nearby.

"Legendary? Was it the Greatsword that turned out Legendary?" she asked, clearly intrigued.

Broken chuckled. "No, Princess, it was the pickaxe."

"Ah... what a shame. But a Legendary item is still a Legendary item, isn't it?" she said with a grin. "We'll have to supply you with more materials soon. Who knows, maybe you'll craft another Legendary piece next time."

"That would be incredible, Princess. Just let me know when you have another big project in mind."

With everything set, Broken prepared to begin. He brought out the Royal Hammer, its black surface gleaming under the light. The heat from the forge began to fill the room as he positioned himself. He raised the hammer and started working, delivering precise strikes to the sword, giving it its final touches.

Alora and Mercy watched intently as the process unfolded. Though it took anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, observing the craftsmanship-especially seeing the intense focus on Broken's face-brought a certain satisfaction to Princess Alora.

Broken moved on to the final step: installing the monster core. As he carefully placed it into the sword and gave it a few more taps with the Royal Hammer, energy suddenly surged through the weapon. Bright, glowing streaks of power erupted from the blade, illuminating the entire room. The golden light reflected off Princess Alora's pale face, casting a radiant

glow around her.

Broken froze for a moment, startled by the brilliant gold energy flowing from the sword. His hands trembled slightly as he confirmed the weapon's grade.

[Cragstorm Sword]

[Grade: Legendary]

This was completely beyond his expectations. A Legendary-grade sword-this meant his

quest progress had just reached 4 out of the 5 Legendary items required. He only needed to craft one more Legendary-grade item before his blacksmith class would upgrade to

Legendary!

Moreover, the fact that this sword was for Princess Alora meant her potential would be boosted even further. The room was still in stunned silence, everyone awestruck by the result.

Broken gently took hold of the sword, and with a proud smile, he presented it with both hands to Princess Alora.

"Your Highness, Princess Alora, it is my honor to present this Legendary-grade sword to

you," he said with a smile.

"No way!" Alora exclaimed, her eyes wide as she took the sword, still glowing with golden energy. She examined it closely, her eyes shining with excitement.

"It really is Legendary-grade!"

"Congratulations on such a magnificent result, Your Highness," Mercy chimed in from behind her. He then turned to Broken. "This is an extraordinary achievement, Baron Broken. You are truly a talented blacksmith and a tremendous asset to the Kingdom of Dissidia."

Before Mercy could continue, Alora cut him off, turning sharply toward Broken.

"Broken!" she called.

"Yes, Princess?" he responded.

"Would you like this sword for yourself?" she asked, leaving both Broken and MercyNôv(el)B\\jnn

momentarily stunned.
