Chapter 345: Chapter 345 - Inspiring Stories
Chapter 345: - Inspiring Stories
1, 2, 3, Broken checked the status of each human slave, his anger mingling with the fear of what he would find. And there, a fifteen-year-old boy was stumbling while trying to keep pace with the rapidly moving carriage.
[Name: Nash]

Yes, he could see his talents! He is from Slumdon!
Broken clenched his fists tightly, not realizing his Stealth had run out.
"Hey, do you even have eyes?!" A demon who collided with Broken shouted angrily, pushing him, but instead, the demon was pushed back.
Broken stashed his Slumdon Cape into his Inventory, his mind more chaotic than ever. He had done his best to push thoughts of the slaves aside, but now he had reached his limit.
Among the captives, he recognized someone from Slumdon Town-no, not just one, but two people. One of them was a woman, barely in her twenties. This realization hit him hard, stirring emotions he had tried so desperately to bury.
He followed the carriage from the side of the road, trying to move as quickly and agilely as possible to avoid the demons who stumbled upon him. Some were clearly angry and roared at him, but he didn't care.
What should he do? He needed to save them, no question about it! He couldn't simply ignore this matter anymore. There were residents of Slumdon among those slaves.
Who the hell did this to them? They took them from Slumdon? Damn it!
In his fury, he sent a message to Freya.
"Freya, please ask Maylock and the others to tighten security in Slumdon, especially for residents leaving the town."
A few moments later, she replied. "Hey, it seems like you're not in a good situation right now? Don't worry, I'll handle everything. Please let me know if you're in trouble."
Even though he could save the slaves, how was he supposed to get them out of here? Surely, if they had been brought here, there must be a way to take them out. He just needed to make sure they were safe first.
Marlene, she must know how to get the slaves back to Yunatea.
Broken quickly put on his Eclipsed Visage - Headgear, a mask costume he had received as a gift item from Golden Age Company. He then donned his Invincible Paragon Armor under his Obsidian Shroud. Now, he didn't look like he had horns anymore; instead, he wore a mask that covered the upper half of his face.
This clearly attracted the attention of a few demons he passed, but his focus was on the carriage entering the high-fenced area leading to a large castle at the edge of the city. The gate closed, and the carriage had already gone inside.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"A castle?" Broken muttered to himself. "Who lives there? The lord of this town?"
Broken stood still, weighing his options. Going on a rampage in a place like this wouldn't end well; this wasn't Yunatea. He was painfully aware that greater forces were at work here-the Named Demons. While the people in Yunatea feared them from a distance, here he was, stepping directly into their domain, in Hell itself.
Surely, there was a better way to handle this situation than causing a massive chaos, right? Was he confident enough in his abilities already? No, he still knew so little about Hell.
Would he back down from this challenge? No, he fought to control his anger, trying to approach this in a different way.
The castle looked rundown with its moss-covered walls and unkempt appearance, but it was clear that someone powerful ruled there.
He quickly slipped away to the edge of the area and changed his appearance back. Using his Stealth skill repeatedly, he moved away from the place. At least now he knew where the slaves were taken.
But what if he was too late and the slaves were already killed? Damn, he felt so helpless in situations like this. The only thought in his mind was to rage and force his way in to save them. Damn, he needed to use his brain more to handle this situation!
After that, Broken spent his time getting to know more about the small town. The area was fairly large for him to explore on his own. There was a lot he had to learn, and doing it all by himself was somewhat challenging. However, he made sure to take notes on the key locations and to jot down a few things he might need, ensuring he knew exactly where to find them when necessary.
He also tried to find a place where he could get more information about the town. There were a few information brokers he approached, and he ended up paying a hefty price-he probably got scammed. The man mentioned a few things, including something about a ranked Demon near the small town.
When Broken asked where the slaves in the area were coming from, the informant gave him a vague, evasive answer. It was clear now-he had definitely been scammed!
After logging out and re-entering the game, on the day when the raid boss hunt with the Shadow Wolves was supposed to be completed, Subaru sent him a private message. Subaru informed him that they couldn't make it back to the town because the raid had been a complete failure, and some party members had been killed. They had to wait for their revival timers to end before they could return to the town as planned.
Broken felt there was something they needed to discuss, so he asked where they were waiting. Subaru sent him a location marker, and Broken decided to head out and meet up with them.
The Shadow Wolves completely failed their raid boss hunt. They really should have asked him to join the team. It would've been better than missing a tank. Maybe they had their reasons- perhaps the raid boss had a high rarity, or it was one they didn't want to share with others.
When he arrived at the outskirts of the town, he summoned one of Gaia's Nature Beasts-the Petal Charger. It was a swift horse with petals for a mane and a sleek dark green coat.
The horse's appearance was indeed striking, with a blooming flower on its left shoulder and petals adorning each hoof. Broken couldn't help but feel it wasn't the coolest mount for him to ride.
But he had no other choice if he wanted to get there quickly. His beloved steed was currently unavailable for summoning, so the Petal Charger would have to do.
The horse bolted across the dry plains, heading toward the treeline of the forest. Summons had a limited duration, but when Broken was close to them, he could easily extend their time by spending the necessary Mana.
The Petal Charger wasn't as agile or fast as Polly, his favorite steed. He couldn't help but compare, knowing this horse was just one of twelve summons granted by Gaia, while Polly was a Unique-grade Spirit Beast of her own. Still, at least he could save time and stamina by
riding it.
He continued his journey through the forest, but several times Broken had to dismount from the horse to conserve both Mana and Stamina. Eventually, he reached an area that seemed...
burned?
Yes, he had arrived at a wide-open field where the ground and trees were engulfed in flames. "Subaru and the others should be around here... but what is this place?"
As if in answer to his question, a loud boom shook the ground. From one direction, magma shot up from the earth, then again from another, and yet another.
"Damn, a monster?"
