Legacy of the Dark Sage

Chapter 1115: What Happened Thus Far

Inside a dilapidated room resembling an audience chamber, a young man in black coat leaned back on a highchair and looked at a middle-aged man with ash blonde hair in dark red coat kneeling before him.

Like everything else in the room, the curtains, and the carpet were tattered with their edges roughly burnt. The ceiling high windows were broken, with faint light from the moon streaming inside and providing them with little light.

The audience chamber's current state had a huge difference from when The Emperor was the one sitting on the highchair and all the Blade Dancer Clan executives and elites were present. There was none of its majestic view could be seen.

It was no surprise after how the whole land of the Blade Dancer Clan suffered from The Emperor's power. In fact, the only reason the audience chamber was intact regardless of how dilapidated it appeared, was because it was situated deep into the main mansion and did not suffer the brunt of The Emperor's power.

If one looked at the Blade Dancer Clan's land, they would see that its periphery along with half of the five blade mansions were reduced to rubbles. One could even see shattered bits and pieces of different kinds of metals, which evoked a sense of grief.

Those bits and pieces of metals were what was left of the low-level members of the Blade Dancer Clan. Since their real form were forged weapons, they ended up in that broken state upon death.

The young man and the middle-aged man in the audience chamber were none other than Kyran and Geir.

How the two ended up together in that place?

To give a brief account, it happened right after Kyran realized his plan could no longer be carried out.

Initially, he thought that as long as Ruin and The Emperor took their confrontation outside the plane, then he could still continue with it. But when another party, emitting the same magic energy as the Void, appeared. he knew the situation in the Blade Dancer plane was already out of his control.

Kyran was forced to make a split moment decision.

It was not an easy one especially when he was enduring the pain of his Void core breaking. Moreover, the magic energy that leaked out of it attacked the rest of his magic cores and Shaiha could do nothing about it.

In the end, Kyran decided to use his Draconic magic to further strengthen his body—internally and externally, endure the whole ordeal, change the target destination of the transmission array he was preparing and activate it.

The target destination of his transmission array was supposed to be inside the transport ship where Oceanus and Leif were waiting. But because of the sudden turn of events in the Blade Dancer plane, Kyran changed it to the room where Uilleam was.

Kyran knew Uilleam's coordinates because the latter gave it to him. He also gave the coordinates to Shiloh's room and a hidden cave in the woodlands near the Blade Dancer Clan's land.

The third location was supposed to be Kyran's destination once he infiltrated the Blade Dancer Clan's land, though he ended up unable to use it.

Due to the urgency of the situation, Kyran did not hesitate in going to Uilleam's location.

Uilleam, who was also aware that something big was already happening from a distance could no longer pretend to be unconscious and started making his preparation.

The alchemist who was watching over Uilleam was startled beyond disbelief when the latter woke up just like that. Uilleam ignored the alchemist and only made his preparation before waiting for Kyran.

When Kyran arrived, Uilleam was shocked to see his pale complexion. But he could not ask what happened because he understood the urgency and severity of the current situation.

Uilleam then led Kyran to the core of the Blade Dancer Clan's Grand Array Formation.

Some Sound Blade members saw Uilleam up and about and escorting a stranger but could not properly react on it. In the end, they could only stare at Uilleam dumbfoundedly as he and the stranger went to the core of their clan's Grand Array Formation was located.

Kyran and Uilleam's journey was not without suspense. When the two arrived at their destination, Alta was waiting for them.

Shiloh was also there, and he appeared distraught because he did not realize his sister was following him.

Kyran had ordered Shiloh to meet them in the clan's Grand Array Formation core before he and Uilleam made their way there.

Alta was shocked to find the black mage that escaped from her pursuit in the unnamed plane. The anguish she felt after her failure and how it resulted in The Emperor taking her soul thread gnawed at her at that instant and nearly consumed her.

She wanted to attack. But like Uilleam, she sensed something big was happening in the plane and thus reigned in her anger. Truth be told, she was somewhat grateful of what the young black mage did to her brother. If not for the convincing fake unconscious state her brother had been, he would have lost a soul thread already.

Kyran could not be bothered to deal with Alta, so he let Uilleam and Shiloh fill her in. If not for the urgency of the situation, he would have preferred not to involve her.

But Alta had been receptive of the current relationship Uilleam and Shiloh had with Kyran and even vowed to follow his lead.

Of course, Kyran did not trust her. But he put he set that matter aside and only focused on improving the Blade Dancer Clan's Grand Array Formation.

Unfortunately, the confrontation between The Emperor and the unknown Void mage reached a sudden climax.

Kyran knew at once that he would not have the time to improve the formation. At the last minute, instead of trying to improve or change the whole formation, he decided to add a new formula.

A formula that would warp the whole land of the Blade Dancer Clan to a place he set upon the formation's destruction.

Thus, when The Emperor's power reached the Grand Array Formation and it shattered without resistance, the formula Kyran added activated at the last second and transported the whole land.

Before the land got transported completely, it still suffered a great deal and low-level members of the Blade Dancer Clan failed to survive.

All of that did not matter though. What was important was that they were not annihilated.

By the time Geir and the rest of the executives, house leaders, and the elites realized that they survived, Kyran appeared before them while exuding an oppressive aura.

Geir, the executives and the house leaders had just received fatal injuries after being exposed to The Emperor's pressure thus they were unable to do anything but yield.

Unbeknownst to them, if Geir exerted himself and attacked Kyran, he would have easily overpowered him because the latter was already at the end of his rope.

Kyran used the remaining marks he had on the five Blade House leaders. As for Geir, he told him he would give him a chance to prove himself without the mark.

Of course, what Kyran said was utter nonsense. Even if he had enough marks, it was unsure if it would work on Geir whose mage level was almost on par with Oceanus.

Luckily, Geir's character did not seem to be one that was good in plotting behind other's back, which was why Kyran chose not to mark him rather than one of the Blade House leaders.

So where did Kyran transport the Blade Dancer Clan's land?

It was actually easy to guess because there were only a few places to which Kyran had been to in the Higher Realm.

The Ogen plane, the Dragon plane, and the unnamed plane.

Among these three, the safest choice Kyran transport them was the Dragon plane, the rational choice was the unnamed plane, and the convenient choice was the Ogen plane.

Ultimately, Kyran chose the rational choice.

Chapter Find:

The unnamed plane was inhabited by powerful beasts and was within the Blade Dancer Clan's jurisdiction— or at least, two thirds of it. Besides, it was closer to Ogen clan, which was a neutral faction.

Kyran rested and allowed Geir and the surviving Blade Dancer Clan members to tend to their wounded and assess their clan's internal affairs. He appointed Uilleam as his Overseer, while Shiloh became his Aide.

As the Overseer, Uilleam held more authority at the current Blade Dancer Clan. Geir was still the head of the clan, but his actions were being watched and monitored by Uilleam.

Meanwhile. Shiloh as Kyran's aide, focused on rounding up the younger generation of the clan. Another reason Kyran gave him that position was to ensure Alta would not do something stupid. Fortunately, he already confirmed the latter was quite affectionate toward her brother and only worried about his welfare.

A few days after Kyran transported the Blade Dancer Clan's land in the unnamed plane, he sent a coded message to Oceanus and Leif informing them of his whereabouts.

And that was what happened thus far...
