Last Shelter Online

Chapter 221 Aaron's Charm

It was still early when Hiro decided to walk out of the guild base after falling asleep while reading his translated book. He visited Vul Faldur City to sell some of the items he had separated from the items he could use.

Even though it was still early, Vul Faldur City, precisely in the Tax-free part of the market, players had gathered to transact as if the city never slept. Hiro already had a seller who would always help him to sell the items. He was a very useful NightFall fan.

“I’ll sell it for you, NightFall. I’ll call you again when everything’s done,” said a Dwarf player who was very good at trading. The nickname he used was LordKey, and his shop was growing rapidly, as if he was already an expert in buying and selling. Even now, he had bought a shop in the form of a building, so there was no need to sell all the items using ordinary carpets in the market.

“Thank you. It’s good to work with you,” Hiro replied, then patted the dwarf player’s shoulder, who was only a chest-high.

Next, Hiro took out an important item that he managed to get from the strange haunted house dungeon.

[Aaron’s Charm]

Its shape resembled a necklace with a black gemstone, but it did not sparkle at all. It really looked like a useless cheap item, but the item was clearly written in Noah’s translation book.

“Seven high priests. Seven high priests,” Hiro muttered as he studied the necklace using the help of the intense sunlight where he was currently standing in the crowd. Vul Faldur did have more sunlight intensity than other cities.

The next step Hiro had to do was to find the direct descendants of the seven high priests who could activate the magic that had been locked in the item he was carrying right now. However, the problem was, the name of the NPC who was the descendant of the High Priest Aaron wasn’t listed in the book because it was written thousands of years ago when the seven high priests were still alive.

Hiro let out a long, disappointed sigh. He had to start looking for the NPC because the item was still the first item of the missing piece of Lucifer’s armor. Collecting a complete set might be a waste of time and energy. Even so, Hiro still had ambitions to collect it.

He had to get stronger before his brother threw a tantrum once again, and he would have a little difficulty uncovering the evil that had been covered up by the creators of the Last Shelter Online.

“It looks like I have to start from Asvesera City.” Hiro had decided, and he was sure of his decision. In the city of the Elve, it wouldn’t be too hard to search for the descendants of the strongest high priests from their direct bloodlines. Because if the Elve really thought that the lineage of their ancestors was of great importance, Hiro was sure that the descendants of the high priests must have been occupying the palace right now.

Hiro had to take RobinHood02 to accompany him around the city of the Elve who highly discriminated against the bloodline demons. It was because Noah was very busy that the man couldn’t even be contacted.

“My heart is pounding hard,” RobinHood02 muttered after ten minutes of walking by Hiro’s side towards the Elve’s Palace.

“Why?”

“This is the first time you have asked me for help. I feel very proud. Am I overreacting?” he asked while clutching his chest like he couldn’t calm down his pounding heart. Hiro chuckled and patted his partner’s shoulder without saying anything.

Finally, the two of them arrived in front of the Palace of the Elve which was very beautiful and never failed to make Hiro open his mouth widely. The soothing sound of the waterfall and the fresh air that pampered the lungs made Hiro instantly feel sleepy and wanted to sleep on the land of the city right now.

Even so, the two of them couldn’t possibly do that. And Hiro, who already had access to enter the palace because he had been recognized by the queen, could easily get past the guards who blocked him for a few seconds. RobinHood02 looked surprised to see Hiro was able to enter the palace like a member of the royal family.

“Welcome back, the Son of Lucifer,” the Elve Queen greeted him. The woman had not changed at all since the last time Hiro saw her.

Hiro showed Aaron’s Charm to the queen without beating around the bush. “Do you know where I can meet the descendants of High Priest Aaron?” he asked. He really didn’t waste his time.

The very beautiful queen looked even more tempting when her mouth instantly opened and formed an O as she saw the object in Hiro’s hand. “Where did you get that thing from?” asked the queen curiously, looking interested. She even left her comfortable throne and walked over to Hiro.

However, just as the queen nearly snatched Aaron’s Charm from Hiro’s hand, Hiro quickly pulled it away from her reach.

“Let me touch it,” asked the queen half hissed, feeling annoyed to be played with by Hiro like that.

“Answer my question first. You can hold it after you tell me,” Hiro explained. He didn’t want to lose anything, considering that the Elve Queen was very clever the last time he spoke to her with Noah. The woman smiled faintly and then looked straight into Hiro’s eyes, trying to hypnotize him with her charms. And she succeeded.

Hiro felt that the woman’s eyes, nose, and full lips were too good to pass by. As if some magic was affecting him, Hiro put his hand on the woman’s neck and pulled her face closer to kiss her.

The Elve Queen enjoyed the touch. However, the main goal was not just to get a simple kiss from a player. With her ability to read other people’s memories, the queen instantly knew where Hiro got Aaron’s Charm from Hiro’s memories. She didn’t have to wait for Hiro to give her an answer. After she was satisfied with the information she was looking for, the woman slowly pushed Hiro’s body away and gave him a sweet smile.

“So, you managed to clear the curse in that place? You really exceeded my expectations all along, the Son of Lucifer.”

Hiro arched an eyebrow. He suddenly realized what his body had just done. It was beyond his control.

“Don’t worry, I won’t tell your beautiful and spoiled lover,” said the queen while blinking one of her eyes in a joking manner. She had seen too much information inside Hiro’s head as if she wasn’t an NPC, but a player with boundless wits.

“Who are you really?” Hiro asked, feeling that he was being played with this time. He had fallen for the same trick twice. Even though he had nothing to lose because he got a kiss from a beautiful woman like the queen.

The woman didn’t answer right away, instead she walked back to her throne and sat there. After straightening her slightly tilted crown, she smiled faintly.

“I am the person you are looking for. I am the last descendant of High Priest Aaron.”
