Chapter 1322: Grubbin Vs Wimpod (2)
Chapter 1322: Grubbin Vs Wimpod (2)
The explosion sent the two little ones rolling further away from each other while both of them suffered damage.
The two consecutive Aqua Jets and a Struggle Bug from Wimpod managed to damage Grubbin and lot and the same could be said for Wimpod, as the Vice Grip almost rendered him unconscious and he also suffered from the backlash of the explosion.
Both pokemons struggled a little and soon got back to their feet. This was nothing compared to the exhaustion they go through in their daily training with Julian and his other pokemons. This battle is just starting, and the burning desire to win over the other rose inside them.
These two are Julian's weakest pokemons at the moment, and they felt like they need to prove something. They don't want to be the weakest forever. They want to grow up and be as strong as Julian's other pokemons.
Not willing to give up, both of them decided to push themselves to their limit.
Wimpod used his recently learned move, Scald. This is a move Julian favors a lot and teaches to all his water-type pokemons because of its power and the added burning effect.
Grubbin, on the other hand, uses an equally devastating move, the Thunderbolt.
Both of them put all of their energy into their moves and shoot at each other. The Thunderbolt and the Scald tear through the air and clash against each other, causing powerful shockwaves to generate from the impact.
The grass beneath the impact spot almost gets ripped out but barely hangs on creating a spiral pattern in the middle.
Both of them are giving it their all but the outcome of the battle seems to be getting clearer as Grubbin is getting exhausted by using Thunderbolt. As Grubbin has not yet evolved and unlocked its electric typing, using an electric type move is more exhausting compared to Wimpod using Scald, who already has his water typing.
The Scald soon starts to overpower the Thunderbolt, and the results seem to be clearer than ever, but Grubbin is showing no sign of backing down.
He releases his war cry and tries to exert more energy into his Thunderbolt, but instead of powering the Thunderbolt, the gene structure inside its DNA changes, and Grubbin starts to glow brighter.
He is finally evolving, seeing that Grubbin is evolving. The rest of Julian's pokemon get excited.
Grubbin's body starts to get bigger under the glow, his oval-shaped body started to become more rectangular and his long strong mandibles begin to shrink.
The glow soon fades away, and the former Grubbin now reveals himself to Julian and his pokemon. Now he is a shiny red Charjabug.
As soon as Charjabug evolves, the Thunderbolt that he is releasing doubles in both size and strength and easily pushes off the Scald and was about to hit Wimpod when Gengar steps in and deflects the attack saving Wimpod from getting injured.
Julian "Charjabug wins"
Julian declared the winner. Hearing this Charjabug excitedly jumps around while Wimpod gets disappointed by his loss. Julian approaches Wimpod and rubs his scale.
Julian "You did well and were about to win. Don't let this loss discourage you. Losing is also part of the journey to grow stronger"
Julian consoles the little one and gives him a small treat to cheer him up. He then approaches Charjabug with a smile.
Julian "You did it, buddy. Now one more step and you will reach greater heights than ever"
Julian praises Charjabug and also gives him a treat to celebrate his win.
Julian "Ok now, let's get back to training and after an hour, we will eat"
Julian instructs and gets his pokemons back on the grind.
Marshadow, who just witnessed the intense battle between Julian's two pokemon, also feels a burning desire to have a battle like that with Julian's other pokemons, so he also gives it his call to train and improve his knowledge on battles.
He is good at using his powers, so now he needs to learn how to effectively use them in battles and other scenarios.
Julian watches as his pokemons restart their training and joins in to instruct them. After an hour, his pokemons are tried from the hell they have been put through, but the reward at the end is worth it all.
Julian soon serves them their favorite food, all individually made to suit each one of them. They all munch down on it with intense furiosity, filling up their stomach in an instant.
After his pokemons were done with their food, he sent all of them back to their Pokeball except Charizard and resumed his journey. He got on top of Charizard and flew out of the forest as the wild pokemons eased up as they saw him leave.
Julian headed towards the town as he wants to give Officer Jenny and visit once again to update her on the situation and warn her about the potential dangers of Cipher.
